Haha - felt like I was back on the Isle of Man there. The Honda Fireblades have always been bloody good - got my first Blade back when the white Wayne Gardner originals came out with the dragonfly headlights. Since then had the Fireblade 919's, etc. Now but comfy cruising on a Goldwing with my wife but still appreciate the sports type of bikes (although can't get my knee on the deck anymore). Great vid mate and well done!

The 2019 one comes with the upgrade on the electronics and has the wheelie control separate from the traction control... in the real world and on roads rather than tracks how much difference does that actually make? Is it so big that its definitely better to buy the 2019 one over a 2018? I'm trying to decide on whether to go for a 2019 one with no extras or a 2018 with some really good extras like a full akrapovic etc...

Honda needs to pay attention to what Kawasaki is doing, Kawi lowered the price of their 1000 and 600 superbikes because they know it's a slow market. Right now you can get a 636 for 9999(usd) and their 1000 is something like 14k. Honda, not so much with their 17k price on this. I just don't ever see myself spending 17k on any bike really. @@davidking258 I test it all the time. I just had a set of buns put on two days ago and they were worn to the edges before I got home.
The only time I ever had an issue with new tires sticking was around Horseshoe at the Mid-Ohio racetrack. It's concrete and they slid a lot over that section the first few times around. Probably lack of heat in the tires more than anything.
It's one of many myths in motorcycling. Probably had its roots in days gone by when mold release was used as part of the tire mfg process...and oil systems on motorcycles were still total loss to the rear tire.

Considering the type of bike it is, I would say for an experienced rider it would eat them for breakfast so for a beginner you would be pushing it. If you like honda try the CB650R or if you really want a 1000cc bike the CB1000R is similar in engine but is noticeably less tuned!! So less likely become a stain on the road
