The thing to remember with Anikthea is that she's a Graveyard Commander FIRST, then an Enchantress Commander. You're far better off just running powerful Enchantments that scale well in multiples, as she'll do a far better job of cheating the casting costs of these sorts of Enchantments.
Oriq Loremage is 2 black and 2 colorless creature that reads "tap: search your library for a card, put it into your graveyard, then shuffle. If it's an instant or sorcery card, put a mage +1/+1 counter on Oriq Loremage." we don't care about the counters as much as Oriq being a consistent "put the enchantment we need most at the moment in the graveyard now. Basically recursion of entomb.
I know this is kind of an older video but I absolutley love this deck and now own it in full. I was wondering what you think about a new card from Modern Horizons 3 called Ripples of death, possibly subbing it in for cemetary tampering. Let me know what you think.
Gotta say great advice on the a decklist for this commander. I would say imo opinion depending on a person's play group aura shards maybe a little to much if a person know how to abuse it correctly.
I appreciate it, I’ve really been trying to get barter at explaining the interactions! I agree aura shards can effectively keep the board wipes of any artifact and enchantments, while also being a solid way to bin your enchantments.
Same, mine has 2 artifacts, 1 instant and 1 sorcery. The rest is creatures and enchantments and the deck is freaking nuts, song of the world soul is a freaking beast in this deck

You're really missing out on Deadbridge Chant. Mills you for 10 on every copy that ETB's and let's you return cards to your hand or creatures to the battlefield afterwards.
I ended up cutting it because I found that cheap mill cards are where it’s at! That way we can play one before we play Anikthea making sure she has a target.
This Commander is my new favorite Commander. There are several different ways to play her but all the same basic enchantress core strategy. There is a lot of graveyard hate and enchantment hate out there, both of which this deck is weak to. Sterling Grove is great but the Shroud can be problematic if we are trying to target our own stuff with abilities. Privileged Position is very good, especially if copied. I run Rootborn Defenses instead if Flawless Maneuver for the Populate. Currently I am try to find ways to abuse Enduring Renewal. I feel like there is some crazy tech with that card and it never sees play in Commander. The burying effect due to drawing of the creatures makes it difficult, but if you can either get them in your hand otherwise or reanimate them without Anikthea, it could get gross.
doesn't 1 legions loyalty with commander attack give you 5 total enchantment tokens from the graveyard? 3 for tapped and attacking and 2 for enter the battlefield. Yes the legendary rule is going to kill the 2 tokens but they still entered and were tapped and attacking before you were asked to choose which one stays. Or am I wrong? Which I don't think I am.
If you wanted to be a dick, since you run Etheral Absolution, you could run Life and Limb + Yavimaya Cradle of Growth. It would essentially kill all of your opponents' lands, and they couldn't play anymore lands for the rest of the game. The only thing that could save them is anthem effect to counteract the -1/-1. Since you're milling and reanimating the enchantments, it would be really easy to assemble all of the pieces
@@decktechsfordecks Makes sense! I was just thinking, how important is a card like grave pact when you don't really run sac-outlets? That seemed like a potential switch! And maybe switch out artifact ramp for utopia sprawl and wild growth and similar cards. Otherwise, I really like the deck! Good stuff.
You definitely should've put Stitcher's Supplier and Golari Grave-Troll in here. Grave-Troll has the dredge 6 ability, which would be absolutely broken in this deck. Then it would it would be a huge beat stick in the late game.
@@decktechsfordecks I found True Conviction to be easily abusable with Sword of Hearth and Home, you'll not only double your ramp, but also your token production rates. But that's the beauty of this commander, there's so many options and she's making borderline useless cards like Doom Foretold usable. Concordant Crossroads, sagas like City of Death or Battle for Bretagard, Geier Reach Sanitarium, there's so many cards in Abzan that get fun or busted with Anikthea. Talking about busted, so glad I got my copy of the newly printed Galadriel's Dismissal for this deck... lol

I suggest Agent of the Shadow Thieves, which will nearly always allow Anikthea to ssfely attack to get her trigger, and make her bigger to boot!

💯 it’s an easy include idk if I’d want to take any mill pieces out though.

I dropped all of the non-enchantment ramp and replaced it enchantment ramp. For more constellation and cast/draw triggers
Mind if i ask what enchantment ramp you added?

deck list?
@@ricksjason right now it is a tentative list. Once I put it together, I can post it
Enduring Renewal doesn't synergize with Anikthea, so it has been removed.
@@architectofdreams73 Hi. You don't happen to have the deck list by now? I would be really interested in seeing it!
populate is fine in rootborn but 0 cost is 0 cost.

Love your energy. Got a new sub. Keep it up:)))))
Unless you mentioned it. Familiar grounds is good😊
It’s definitely in there 😉
Love these vids.
Have you made any changes to your personal Anikthea deck to this date?
Is there a decklist? :) i have a deck exactly like this but with a bit more memey enchantments like Arvinox, the mind flail.
It’s in the description 😊

Animate graveyard would be quite broken, had it not been an aura.
Yesss!!!!!

just saw your channel, do you have one for Kadena. sultai morph

I don’t know if I would sleep well at night throwing that in the deck 🤣
Or Living Planes without Yavimaya, but that is substantially more expensive.
What about teleportation circle?
I found the mill pieces are way more important than the blink effects, so I cut a lot of them for more mill.

How do you feel about Palantir of Orthanc?
I feel like a smart player would just give you the card draw 9/10
@@decktechsfordecks I agree, so in my mind it's free scry and draw
Thoughts on True Conviction in the deck?
It’s definitely solid I ended up cutting because I felt like I had enough buffing effects, but I bet it could still do some nutty stuff.

What do you think about running Overwhelming Splendor?
Well you can't recur it with Anikthea but it's not a bad card
Why do you keep saying anthem?
Its a magic term used for cards which buff all creatures
