Isn't it a bit redundant to put a railway cargo terminal and a cargo harbor with a rail connection next to each other? Especially when you don't add a route to the edge of the map, there won't be any export, will there?
I remember an onramp near downtown Oklahoma City onto I-40. It's almost random, just making up for a lack of access at a junction about a mile away. You have to turn off a street in a little shopping district, pass by a super sketchy motel, and turn between two dumpster stalls. Otherwise, you had to detour another three miles to get onto the highway. Realistic does equal pretty or convenient.
Remember to get rid off all the traffic lights that you don't actually need ive noticed in my city a lot of backups are just from useless lights and/or stop signs
If the Auburn port area becomes a major work hub then consider adding a second ferry stop. Also note that anyone living in the outskirts of Auburn working in the port has to take a bus down to the centre and then change. A line from the port to the suburbs would help a lot.
Good episode. One critique: I don’t think you established any cargo rail or shipping lines from the new port or rail terminals so currently they’re probably not functioning.
Nice video bossman I feel we can use that Bixton-Auburn International airport in the area between both cities, both linked to eachother with urban and industrial/commercial sprawl
It’s looks as if when you have a wreck on the highway the emergency vehicles have to leave town then come back to get to them… Maybe so maybe not . Just a suggestion
The two cargo rail terminals as well as the two bus terminals are very redundant with how insanely close they all are, I would strongly advise removing the bus terminal or in the middle of the city (or converting it for mainly intercity use) and the standalone cargo rail terminal. You also forgot to connect the cargo harbor to the outside connections, on top of the rail terminals not being able to access the outside connections. That second bus line should really be re-aligned to follow a more straight path to avoid the unnecessary detours and probably add another line to the north that serves as another east to west connection, with all lines eventually converging to the passenger harbor terminal to make effective use of it. Id also recommend the bus line following the coast to run up the boulevard, instead of terminating at the office/industrial block, to provide access to the suburban residents to the jobs on the coast. For your highway situation, I would suggest re-instating the first connection and definitely removing the second moving it back farther and providing turning lanes for people getting off. It could on top of that be a case of the massive wave of cars moving into the city whenever you mass zone an area. Just my suggestions but overall I liked the build today.
i think thath placing alot of low rent apartments everywhere there is a zone next to a highway makes sense as nobody wants to live near that kind of noise so thats why they have crappy low rent living options there, i think when i see those kinds of buildings they are usually around places like that
Don’t know if anyone here knows this resemblance but Plymouth- main city - Ivybridge- town near by - Only difference I can think of is there is no river or bridge.
Place another prison in auburn as you said you want it eventually to connect to main bixton but right now it’s is own functioning city and thus needs a close place to store prisoners
Love ur chill vibe and content so much! Im no pro at the game, dont even have it, but is there a specific reason for why you don’t use roundabouts? I’m from Norway and I swear to god they are everywhere and they work really well and I find them so much better for traffic than traffic lights etc. I don’t know if this is any good advice, but sometimes you could just put a roundabout in an intersection rather than building new roads?
Show bixton during day night cycle we wanna experience it and even try to place bus stops from other cities to your bus stations and the new auburn is amazing new look.
The bridge is fixing traffic but I think you should listen to my old idea to build a highway connecting both the main expressway with the interchange at the top not the one connecting the bridge highway but instead the T interchange connecting the trumpet
You can use large roundabouts instead of intersection for better flowing traffic. I know americans are not really keen of roundabouts but they are just more efficient.
youre traffic lights seems like a issue since you have way to much crosses just remove them and put up yield signs insteed you dont need more then a couple of them in youre main artierie and maybe one on youre collector
maybe a bus line from city to city would help traffic

Yes 💯 percent
As always, perfect timing with the video. There is no better way to spend the evening.

Don’t forget to add lines to the cargo train station and seaport!

41:14 There is a way to segment the bus lines somewhat, by naming the lines and having the order set alphabetically.
You gotta draw the cargo lines to the outside cities as well

Found your channel and have been hooked this series. Great work!
In the future, is there a chance of you connecting the two cities in to one big metropolis, or do you want to keep them seperate?
He's mentioned before that a wider Bixton metropolitan area sprawling around the bay is the general idea, yes.
Probably like Dallas-Fort worth or Minneapolis-Saint Paul
29:19 why you don’t make tunnels? It’s much more sufficient, beautiful and better for traffic flow then a crossover

I think you should also try making a metro like it will eliminate some cars off the road

Gotta love bus routes
Question, how did you unlock the Golden Gate Bridge? Is it a progression node I completely missed?
its an add on
It was a pre-order bonus
Thank you! That’s strange though because I did pre-order and have the map you are using but I still can’t find it. Thank you though!
@@HP_Gaming370you need the San Francisco addon

I feel the traffic is due to the difference in road type and speed limit
how can your city even last that long??? i can't even build a good looking city or working
I live in Champaign and I want to i-75 champagne downtown and it was kind of cool😊😊😊😮😮😂😂
Shame you can't use kilometers as the unit for speed limits on North American roads even when your units are set to Metric in the game options!
Timeister gyatt oiled up
Your oil fields aren’t really efficient with how little you build on the highest yielding deposit and the part build that wasn’t on the deposit
If you do proper lane management on the trumpet interchange traffic turning right will sort well before the exit
STOPS. They are bus stops not stations 🙄
