Reminds me of my character who is loosing his big sister and he steadily goes insane trying hard to fix the fea curse that is killing her. Unfortunately though he raised two of the courts to the ground with his sister's fiancee he ends up asking his legend of an uncle to end him becuase without his sister now that he has eliminated the enimies(ie the two fea courts of autumn and spring which make summer and winter look like kittens) he knows he will be the next and final name on his list. He was tired. He needed it to end and as much as he knew the request hurt his uncle he knew if they didnt end him then they would let him burn the world.
So theres 2 types of Necromancers: the kind that wish to bring ones they lost back at all costs And then one that it just a monster, example: An Iksar Necromancer going for the shadowscythe, a race hated and feared by all for a good reason, and just enhancing his own power for gain.
A song belonging to the Patriarch of the universe, the seed of Truth, for the Matriarch - the manifestor of Truth (aka Love). Balance is needed between matter and antimatter, light and dark, destruction and creation for Life to continue. As the truth-seer, he sees that the world has become corrupt...perhaps his role could involve benevolently sending a deluge to destroy it in order to save the good that is being choked by the darkness. To save Love. He destroys, she creates. They work together to do it right. On another, it is her deepest yearning for her provider to be willing to burn down the whole world, if he has to, for her sake, because in his eyes, she is more important, more valuable to him than the entire world!
And now that all his truth, his focused investment awakened her she repays him in kind by leaving everything and everyone to do whatever is needed to repair his broken wings. It has looked evil from the outside, as they do not yet see that true liberators must first themselves be liberated
