  • Legendary chef Daniel Boulud shows us how to make the iconic french staple Jambon Beurre. Think of it as a fancy ham sandwich. All it takes is a few quality ingredients and plenty of butter. Seriously, don’t be stingy with the butter.

I was in Paris 5 years ago for one week and ate a delicious jambon-beurre sandwich for lunch my first day. And then each of the next 6 days! Each at different places. The best sandwiches I’ve ever rated. Delicious butter. Fantastic bread. The tastiest ham I’ve ever eaten. It was not easy coming back to American sandwiches

For some reason harder to find in the United States, seems like simple easy to obtain ingredients, and simple to construct....maybe a business plan for somebody. Edited to add, I know the chef is filming in NYC!

Surely when you add cheese and horseradish, it's no longer a jambon-beurre. Cornichons are indeed used by some Parisian bakeries, but anything else is inauthentic.

I'm guessing you are a more prestigious French chef.

OK, let's just make sure I've got it. Cut the bread, put the butter on, then put the ham on. Right, I'll give it a go. Next week, how to make a glass of water.

😆😅😂 Ingredients: A glass, water. Pour the water into the glass, be careful that it does not overflow. Drink.🥛🙃

Put a french name and a hefty price tag on it, and GQ elitists gonna feature you for a fucking ham-sandwich.

To many ingredients - bread butter ham, thats it.

  • @Bobshouse

He messed that one up royally. Ham and butter only! Doesn't taste like a ham sandwich found anywhere but France. Better with boiled ham.
