Thank u so much Beth. :) anyway, in the next videos, I'm going to be experimenting a bit more. And also I just got a bg that's plain white with a wood grain finish. So, I'll probably use that instead. :)
I love your ring very much, I am now a subscriber. I do have a question, where do you purchase your beautiful stones?!?!. I have purchased many very large cabs but never such small pieces. Can’t wait to see your next tutorial. 🙏🏼🥰
Thank you so much! :) It's a nail dust collector. You can check out my Amazon storefront in the "my essential tools for wire wrapping" section. www.amazon.com/shop/mithrilartsandjewelry
Thank you! Im not sure which part you're having a hard time with. Can u please send me a DM over instagram and show me your progress so I can help u out? instagram.com/mithrilartsandjewelry
I hammered it because I'm using dead soft wire (to harden it a little) and also make sure that the size doesn't change. If you don't hammer it, chances are that the ring will start expanding on its own later on. It's not just about the shape. :)
Thank you for the video! The new background is great, though I never noticed any issues with the old one! What did you use to polish it at the end? A dremel? What kind of brush was that? 💜
@@MithrilArtsandJewelry thanks so much for the info! I have tried using my dremel to polish my pieces, using the felt pads that came with it. I can never get into the small spaces and never quite get the effect I want with it. I will try the steel brush next! I appreciate your wisdom.
@@barbarafife8300 i haven't tried but if u do use round wire, I would suggest weaving the ring band instead of coiling it. Try to do something like a soumak weave to do it.
I completely agree. The music just about ruined it. Tutorials would be so much better without music! It's ok to have quiet while you work! That's a beautiful ring, but I almost couldn't get through the video.
So many people are acting entitled to tell artists what to do with their videos! Instead of just turning off the sound, just say,” Thank you for an amazing video of a beautiful ring.” As they always say if you don’t have something nice to say to the poster then don’t say anything at all.
The pieces you make are lovely. Please don't be offended, but you really don't need the music, I've tried watching your tutorials, but I can't bare music in tutorials so I leave the video before it's finished, I just want to concentrate of what you are saying and doing and not be distracted by music. Please, please, please, don't put music in your videos so I can watch them 🙏

Love the background easy to see your work.
Thank u for the feedback :)
Amazing and so beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Regarding the background, I liked the darker one. I find that the marble is too busy and distracting to me.

Quick questions- what do u use to oxidize your pieces and can any type of stone be wrapped in there when you do? Thank you!!🥰💖🤣
I love your tutorials but I’ve tried and failed at making this ring 3 times. I’m stuck at the last swirls, do you have any advice?
Thank you! Im not sure which part you're having a hard time with. Can u please send me a DM over instagram and show me your progress so I can help u out? instagram.com/mithrilartsandjewelry
Where do you get your wire?! Incredible beautiful work by the way! ❤
I can’t find the sliver coloured one!
I like that mandrel with a flat top. Where can I purchase it?
I got it from Amazon. Just look for steel ring mandrels
So, why are you hammering the shank in the first place? It looked like it was perfectly round.
I hammered it because I'm using dead soft wire (to harden it a little) and also make sure that the size doesn't change. If you don't hammer it, chances are that the ring will start expanding on its own later on. It's not just about the shape. :)

Very interesting! Thanks for the effort to making a film.. I guess you were using the square wire?
I love this ring and your instructions are very easy to follow but the music is absolutely dire. 😕
Can this ring be made with round wire?

it's almost impossible to see what you're doing when you're creating the swirls and framing the gemstone. Your fingers are in the way.
