And then there's MMA where in the UFC u get 10k to show up and another 10k only if u win, with the same expenses listed in this vid, taxes, coaches, managers, etc. Dana white instead of Don King tho.

The crazy thing is that you can be the champion of the world and you can't make your next fight with the mandatory challenger because you can't come to an agreement. The sanctioning body will then put up the fight for a purse bid, meaning that the rights to promote the fight go to the highest bidding party, sometimes outside of the fighters' promotion teams. For example, if Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko couldn't figure out how to make the fight, the WBA would have auctioned the rights to other promoters, even if it meant that they do it at a discount price.

Information a bit off, you forgot that the network takes half of the purse before anyone gets to touch the money

Unless youre al haymon , he buys airtime and maintains the royalties and rights etc.
He just pays up front for the TV time same with PPV with Pbc boxing. Pays for air time a fixed fee opposed to shared profits for
      Distribution

@@pitchbuckets2860 thts incorrect showtime and fox take half of the money, you think they give Al a huge boxing budget to put fights on they networks just to allow him to pay them pennies upfront instead of taking 50% of earned revenue???

@@highkingofmidwest5277 networks like PBC don’t give al haymon money he buys the TV time up front. He pays for the tv time anyone knows the little about al knows this or anyone who has worked with him. It’s also public info. His investment firm has raised closed too one billion dollars in this space and that’s why many people feel he over leveraged taking these big risks. But AL is one of the first if not the first ever to Buy time spots from a network and risk his own capital with the 100% equity on all revenue module. He’s done this with fox , pbc and 2 other networks. Showtime he has a diff structure which is more or less what you said but for prime time tv and free boxing events on the networks I mentioned he pays for the tv time

@@pitchbuckets2860 you wrong. Network pays one time contract money and then pay for purse and PBC prize.
Martin vs Ortiz on ppv now. Also Fox or showtime not showing big names compare to past years. Also not promoting fights enough to sell tickets.
(they give up Donaire because they got two ppv and sell 900 tickets)
They even didn't buy Tank vs Cruz for free tv.
