Greeting from Australia! Thank you for your video. I found your English to be great and easy to understand. Can confirm the rental trick is still working as of 27/02/2023 for those wondering. I started with 80k aUEC as you suggested, and so far I have completed 3 runs in a rented prospector selling the raw ore. Being a beginner, this is by far the fastest I've made money so far. I'm not as optimal with my yields and loads as you are yet, but I'm enjoying the process. Thanks again.
Great video, including all the time spent searching for just the right rock! Your English is fine too. I noticed at the end of your flight that you had two hours left on your rental. Are you able to easily remove the Lancet mining head so you can install it on your very own Prospector? I rented a Prospector yesterday and spent time mining on a moon. I'm ready to rent another one and follow your example tomorrow. Thanks!
I broke a million in one day's rent. Unscannable rocks seriously increases the hunt. I was also able to remove the Lancet head before the rental period expired. But was not able to reinstall the original mining head. I am expecting the rental company to send me a bill to pay for damages :-)
Thanks for the tutorial. One question - i scan 360, find a box, then narrow to 2 degrees hit tab again. But i aint getting any scan results at all. Do i need to press mouse button or any other buttons? Or is it just not scannable?
all i managed to do was remove the mining laser from the rented prospecter, now it is useless. will not allow me to install the lancet. and the original mining head seemingly disapeared
Than you forgot to save the changes after you changed the laser. Just do the glitch again, the Lancet Laser is still in your Inventory. Afte you equipped it press Save Changings at the right bottom of your screen.
@@StarBugs_SC i didnt forget to save changes lol it saved with no mining head attached at all and I could not reattach either mining head, it will let you remove items from the rented ship but not add any items to it.
I tried my very best to follow your vid in every detail, but I have been out in the belt for over 20 mins now and I have yet to find a single scanable asteroid. I feel like I might be missing something crucial or doing something wrong. Obviously every other of your scan targets remains without scan results, but surely not every single one...
Hey Tina, at the moment SC has big problems with their severs. If you find several unscanable rocks you will not find Quant cause the server is bugged. Log out in your bed and try another server. The AUS Servers are mostly a good choice for mining in the belt.
Than you are just to slow in clicking. The method is already working. Just ry it a few time. You must be fast enogh in changing the ships. And dont forget to SAVE CHANGES, after you equiped it.
Apparently not working any more, but why do the dont allow to change stuff on a rented shipp… so immersion breaking, i mean its a laser thet you change not a complete restauration of the ship…
iam not sure why but when i try my renter prospector is at the top of the list, only got the starter ship and the rentet prospoctor. and ia cant get it to work even that iam doing i fast🤔
I suspect that the rented vehicle loadout glitch is causing a new side effect. Rented a Prospector last night for 7 days, did the loadout glitch, did a Quantanium run. Logged on today and couldn't find the Prospector in Fleet Manager. Now when I look at my Vehicle Loadout Manager, I still see the Prospector but it says Rental Period: Expired. I definitely rented it for 7 days because I'm down roughly 300k. Even if I did only click 1 day, it hasn't even been 24 hours but it still shows as expired.
Thats totally new for me. There was a bug which switched the 3 and the 30 days period. So if you rented it for 30 days you only get 3 days but you payed for 30. But the one day rent was never bugged before. I prefer to rent it only daywise cause after 2 - 3 days you are ez able to buy your own one, but i will try it out tomorrow and let you know.
@@StarBugs_SC Yeah, I rented this for 7 days figuring I could grind enough to buy one easily in that time, but it seemed to have expire as early as 15 hours after I rented it, if not earlier.
great video gonna test it out soon its 2023 now hopefully this bug stays with 3.18 they should just let you config rentals as you like kinda stupid its locked imho i mean your paying out of pocket for the equipment and im sure if earned everyone would rather own one than rent as 51k a day adds up when you can just own one and really tweak it. atleast they should allow mining lasers and stuff you need when renting to make money with it. But good vid english was solid and im glad you showed full time and such detail please make and updated one when 3.18 comes out if anything changes thank you.
@@StarBugs_SC i must have the worst luck ever i went out got the mining head on and working and just my luck i get into the belt and after about 30mins not a single not one asteroid would scan no matter what i do. :( they jut come back nothing i cant tell what type sigh. oh and i discovered something else i have an origin 315p so the O puts the ship below the misc prospector so good thing i had an argo because i couldnt get the mining head glicth to work till i had another ship there. So for anyone who only has origin ships this might be a challenge.

I settled for a 23% rock after a while since i got impatient after about an hour of not finding anything good or unscannable rocks but atleast i covered the cost of the ship first run out thanks for the guide :)

Hey, you must do that with in Mining Mode and you must have binded your Keys under Radar Ping in the Keybindings.

The 3 an the 30 are mixed up on the rental console. I have rented the roc for 3 days by clicking on the 30

it works, I just did it. You just need to be really fast. Also it's horribly difficult, if you have too many ships in your hangar.
