Love this abridged format for your battles (mixing commentary and original footage). Makes it much easier to digest what's going on. Hope to see more of it, and your analysis videos. In terms of other ladder challenges, if not for it being a format from a previous season, I'd have said "avoid using top X most used Pokemon." I also appreciate having that sort of limitation while everyone else has "old faithfuls" is painful. Since it's relevant, why not a team of some of the worst type combos from your "all 153 type combinations" video? Obviously you could veto a type as long as you use it at least once (so you don't have a team full of Ice and Bug). There's also a TH-camr called WeedleTwinneedle who makes really left-field tactics. Which one (with some adaption and world champ difference) be taken to number 1?

Loved the video and the editing done. I prefer the longer videos for this type of video you’ve done but this was good and I’m in the minority for liking the longer vids im sure
I also made a Markiplier team! It ended up being Blaziken with Life Orb, Detect, Flare Blitz, Close Combat, and Thunder Punch as my main restricted killer, Lunala with Sitrus/Enigma Berry, Moongeist Beam, Wide Guard, Moonlight, and Trick room as a very tanky supportive mon, Tapu Fini with Leftovers, Muddy Water, Draining Kiss, Calm Mind, and Heal Pulse for a sort of jack of all trades, Mandibuzz with Psychic Seed, Foul Play, Tailwind, Taunt, and Roost for another great support mon, Dragalge with Assault Vest, Draco Meteor, Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, and Flip Turn as my Trick Room sweeper, and finally, G-Max Cinderace with Expert Belt, Protect, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Bounce. Most games, the plan was to lead with Blaziken and some supportive option, Detect turn 1, then outspeed and one shot on turn 2. Lunala synergized very well with Blaziken, as Wide Guard could stop Surf, Earthquake, Precipice Blades, Water Spout, Origin Pulse, and Electroweb, none of which Blaziken liked taking. It also blocked Snarl, a fairly common move that wipes the floor with Lunala thanks to its typing. Jolly Blaziken could outspeed and one shot a lot of mons after one Speed Boost, including non-max Speed Zacian and Kyogre, but would often die soon after. Lunala could then Trick Room, and at the end of the turn I could switch in Tapu Fini or Dragalge, who are decent and incredible under Trick Room, respectively. With Moonlight, and no speed investment, Lunala could often heal back to full after it got a Trick Room up, making it nearly unkillable by anything that doesn't have Sucker Punch or isn't an Yveltal. Tapu Fini can either set up or start dealing damage right away, and was a decent Dynamax option, but if you wanted massive damage, you went to Dragalge. Adaptability meant that it had a 2x multiplier on its STAB moves instead of just 1.5x, and after Dynamaxing, Sludge Bomb would turn into Max Ooze, which doesn't get any stronger, but also doesn't get any weaker, along with boosting your Special Attack every time you use it. Mandibuzz was another great lead option; leading any combo of Blaziken, Tapu Fini, and Mandibuzz would allow it to get a Special Defense boost with a switch on turn 1, and it's actually fast enough to outspeed Calyrex-Shadow after a tailwind. Roost also meant it was very, very hard to kill. Cinderace was the last mon I added to the team, and is very matchup dependant. It's a very good Dynamax option with Max Steelspike and Max Airstream, and the G-Max factor is likely to make the opponent think Cinderace has Pyro Ball, which, of course, it does not. I would sometimes lead Blaziken and Cinderace for very offensive games, with Lunala and Tapu Fini in the back, since there would never be enough time to get up a Trick Room for Dragalge. Overall, I'm very happy with my team, and I've had pretty good success with it. Though, I didn't *quite* get to #1 in the world. Speaking of which, congrats, Wolfey, you've done it again! I'm excited to watch the full video to see what tricks you've packed into the team. Keep up the amazing work!
even for people who play vgc, albeit kinda noob. this new format is super helpful. im sure people who dont normally watch vgc content would find this entertaining. good job dude. you've really leveled up your content creation skills! love to see it
A challenge idea I have to to use a rainbow team, with each Pokémon being a different color of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. The Pokémon for each color have to mostly be the color they’re representing. To make it extra hard, maybe don’t use the top 50 most used Pokémon in ladder.
Thank you for including explanations during the plays about what the Pokemon can do, why they're trouble, why a certain move was used, etc. I always get lost watching competitive battles but now I feel like I can keep up. Super interesting and charming content!
Thank you for making an edited video for one of these! While the longer uncut videos can be fun, I definitely don't always have the time to commit to watching them all the way through.
Such a good video, a perfect blend between your expert commentary and super funny natural charisma. Having bits of your live commentary was a great idea and the little signs made it really accessible for newer viewers hope you keep using this style in future wideos.

Man, the editing in your videos is getting amazing!!!
The nekkid Ditto moment was gold 🥇
even for people who play vgc, albeit kinda noob. this new format is super helpful. im sure people who dont normally watch vgc content would find this entertaining. good job dude. you've really leveled up your content creation skills! love to see it
Suicune stole my gf
A challenge idea I have to to use a rainbow team, with each Pokémon being a different color of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. The Pokémon for each color have to mostly be the color they’re representing. To make it extra hard, maybe don’t use the top 50 most used Pokémon in ladder.
Thank you for including explanations during the plays about what the Pokemon can do, why they're trouble, why a certain move was used, etc. I always get lost watching competitive battles but now I feel like I can keep up. Super interesting and charming content!
amazing video!! loving the great ace attorney music too, props to the editor
Ty :) gotta sneak in as much GAA things as I can
The quality of your commentary in this video is amazing, both voiceover and mid-game. Another great step towards mainstream YouTubist!
19:00 "Oh No, I'm stuck with naked Ditto left in the end game!" It's the way Mark would have wanted it.
Thank you for making an edited video for one of these! While the longer uncut videos can be fun, I definitely don't always have the time to commit to watching them all the way through.
Peak content alert!!! This as amazing Wolfe! Freaking amazing!
Such a good video, a perfect blend between your expert commentary and super funny natural charisma. Having bits of your live commentary was a great idea and the little signs made it really accessible for newer viewers hope you keep using this style in future wideos.
I couldn't watch your other rank 1 videos because I'm out of the loop on strats so it always went over my head but you explaining these battles with this new editing is awesome. Always great content 👌
I love these kinds of videos. I don't really know anything about competitive pokemon, but you make it seem like you can win with a lot of different pokemon rather than just one set META team.
