Hey, frustrating work for you...! I used to have a kit at my previous job. It was drill bits for counter clockwise drilling, we call them "left drills' translated from Swedish. They could grab the bolt and help unscrew it. Also there were some cylindrical pins with ridges along them which you hammer into a drilled hole and then use a special collet which match the ridges to unscrew broken bolts. It was the best setup I have ever used!

In my opinion left hand drill bits can only help on almost free-spinning bolts. I used the ridged pins on day 106 and wasn´t satisfied as well - seems they can´t apply lots of torque. Same with the fine-threaded extractors.
      Thanks for watching!

I´m not quite sure how to execute this method on a recessed stud with lots of material (aluminium) around...
      Thanks for watching!

Hey Brother. Awesome to find your videos. I have a new to me 2000 stype 4.0 that I am in the process if making great again. It's in amazing shape with great miles it just needs love and parts. I really enjoy the car but damn are parts pricey!!

Sometimes (e. g. Lemförder suspension components) identical parts are offered much cheaper by the oe manufacturer.

Would putting some heat onto the metal help?

I guess there´s too much material around the bolt holes to succeed with this method...
      Thanks for watching!
