This is part 2 of a 4 part tutorial on how I made the ‘Aquatic Bloom’ polymer clay bracelet cuff. Beautiful yet very durable; does not require a clasp, and will not loosen and fall off your wrist. I will show you my new cuff base technique; we will make a handmade stamp for the Mokume Gane bubbles; we will make our plants & creatures with the magic of Mica Shift, and lastly create a unique veneer, assemble and finish your one of a kind jewellery art.
In this video we are making the mica shift. Although a little repetitive, this is my favourite bit of the whole process. Inspired by Donna Kato’s recent tutorial on mica shift • A Polymer Clay Basic T...
I recommend the colours I have chosen but you can use whatever colours you like.
Parts should be uploaded within 2 to 4 days of the last video.
Part 1: Build the cuff base with my new hidden resin technique.
Part 2: Magical twisted Mica Shift.
Part 3: Mokume Gane and handmade stamp.
Part 4: Final veneer and finishing.
This was inspired by Donna Kato’s tutorial on mica shift snails:

Thank you Lynn! I'd love to see what you make. Please feel free to post a photo on my KeiPfr Facebook page (it's not a group) 🥰
Magnifique ❤❤❤
Merci 🥰
Great tutorial, amazing
Thank you 🥰
This technique makes stunning mica shift veneers, and thanks for sharing! But this video, the camera and the music are very analog and old looking. Are you reposting your older videos?
No, I don't repost videos. This is one of my first tutorials when I was figuring TH-cam out. I didn't upload it in high resolution and I can't replace it or I'll loose the watch hours I need for monetisation. I'll do another video with this technique someday. Here's a link to the full bracelet cuff tutorial which has better music 🥰 th-cam.com/video/m8_0aH0eYzA/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I’m new to your channel so I’m sorry if you’ve answered this question, but why do you only take 2 slices each time? Thanks for sharing this cool idea 😀
Thank you 🥰 Because I worked in small logs I only got 1 or sometimes 2 slices before the mica shift is too blurred towards the centre. If you worked with a larger log you could get more slices. Also, as I wasn't overlapping I wanted the pieces to be perfect. Check out Donna Kato's video I have linked in the description box.
