Yes, all of them were simply wonderful. You can see that both the mothers have an appreciation towards each other instead of rivalry. It was obvious that the bride's family made sure that the mother in law was not set at the end, but they included her between them. The bride is a female version of her father, calm, charming, down to earth. The sister is more outspoken, but still respectful, just like her mom. Wonderful episode.

It was very red carpet, but it was also too plain and the cut didn't flow right on her. This is just my opinion, but the halter top with that cut of skirt just didn't work as well as another style cut would have, and it flat out didn't look as beautiful on her as another simple halter-style dress would. My eye was immediately drawn to how thick the halter neck was and how the fullness at her chest was slightly more blocky than flattering. I was completely distracted away from her face in a bad way. The other two dresses she really liked, I didn't have that problem; my eyes always went to her face after a few seconds. They were beautiful, elegant, and simplistic enough that my eyes didn't linger and they emphasized her beauty without overpowering it. Maybe if the skirt of the first dress had had a high low over-layer with a nice white underlayer to add some depth and flow, and the halter was thinned out around her neck, it might have had the same effect as the other dresses for me.
Nooo!!! She didn't look nothing special! And also I couldn't stand how much fabric there was on the halter neck! She was way too covered and she looked so much older and dreary with that 1st dress! Nope! Should have been a complete hard pass!!

I loved the big lace southern belle gowns from the early 80's, but I am only 5'2 and at the time I only weighed around 100 lbs and they were just too much dress for me. I ended up with a simple Jessica McClintock/Gunner Sax, high neck, illusion yoke, no train and just a fine cotton instead of saying or taffeta and it looked so much better. Later took it apart and made a dedication gown for one of my great nieces. Dedication is similar to a christening/baptism.
I think if you’ll pick for your wedding dress, you can bring your Dad. He might say, “up to you” but when he finds the perfect dress for you, he’ll have that “that’s the one” expression.

This was one of the sweetest, most perfect Say Yes to the Dress Atlantas that I have seen. This show is always more gentle than New York, but this was the perfect consultation. You walk away feeling so happy for the bride.

I think that was the intention but the tailoring was a less quality and also the bride's building was rather tall and thin vs. Merilyn who were shorter and rounder; that is why the first dress may had been simpler and "different", it was totally not her. It looked on her like a cheap home made dress. All the other choices were better - in my humble opinion.

I think it may have to do with her pageant successes. For most brides, their wedding day is the ONE day in all their lives when they will be so dressed up, where they will truly feel glamorous and princess-like, and it's socially expected that the attention will be on them. That's why they get so obsessed with getting it right. This bride has already been in so many dresses, she's had all that attention on her, she will probably still be on many red carpets in the future. Her wedding is just one more day on which she can have all that. Which explains her pleasant attitude and why she is at first looking for a very plain and simple dress. The stakes are different for her. It's a bit like going to Paris. If you are poor and have to save for years and years to afford this one life-time trip there, you'll want to see everything, go everywhere, experience all the tourist attractions. If your lifestyle allows you to spend every summer, the Holidays and multiple weekends in Paris every year, you don't feel the pressure or the need to do it all anymore. You can just enjoy it as a normal part of your life.

These employees always behave like they have 5 dresses in the store and if the bride doesn't like one they do not know what to do... you have millions of dresses, show her some more.
It is a reality show, so they gotta up the drama.
They might not have that many in a certain price point in a certain style.
Theres a set amount of time for the appointment, the price point matters, what the bride is looking for matters, and they listen to the family as well

And recording takes ours, the shows are montage of snippets.
They have to choose wisely because if the bride tries a lot of dresses she will get confused and doesn't know what to peek. So they usually keep it at the number 3, so all of her doubts diminish and she knows what looks good on her and what doesn't.
You know what I love about the bride? She wore a lot of fancy dresses several times, fierce, expensive-looking etc but she wants to be more simple and natural in her wedding like she wants to be herself in her own wedding and that for me is beautiful~
I loved that simple dress. She looked like a movie star. And yeah, the simplicity of it, the cleanness was what was so striking about it. Wish she’d gone with that instinct, she’d have looked like Grace Kelly.

I think that was the intention but the tailoring was a less quality and also the bride's building was rather tall and thin vs. Merilyn who were shorter and rounder; that is why the first dress may had been simpler and "different", it was totally not her. It looked on her like a cheap home made dress. All the other choices were better - in my humble opinion.
I love how she’s not as picky as some of the entitled brides at klienfeld. It’s always better to keep things simple! And I love her attitude. The wedding is more about her and the groom and not the dress! You go girl!

She strikes a really good balance between wanting a nice dress and not being too worried about the whole thing. Betty seems to know what she wants, is very clear about what she doesn’t like but she is classy about it
I think it may have to do with her pageant successes.
For most brides, their wedding day is the ONE day in all their lives when they will be so dressed up, where they will truly feel glamorous and princess-like, and it's socially expected that the attention will be on them. That's why they get so obsessed with getting it right.
This bride has already been in so many dresses, she's had all that attention on her, she will probably still be on many red carpets in the future. Her wedding is just one more day on which she can have all that. Which explains her pleasant attitude and why she is at first looking for a very plain and simple dress. The stakes are different for her.
It's a bit like going to Paris. If you are poor and have to save for years and years to afford this one life-time trip there, you'll want to see everything, go everywhere, experience all the tourist attractions. If your lifestyle allows you to spend every summer, the Holidays and multiple weekends in Paris every year, you don't feel the pressure or the need to do it all anymore. You can just enjoy it as a normal part of your life.
Elegant. I appreciate how elegant she looks in the last dress. The dress really says something about who she is as a woman. Her comment about already winning because she’s got the guy, says a lot about her heart and priorities. I absolutely adore this young woman’s spirit. Her parents did a wonderful job raising a beautiful human being.
