It's so silly how many people are shitting on the 2P starter set. It's like everyone forgot the whole ordeal we had last year with that Rarran guy. A person who had prior card game experience coming into Yugioh blind ended up having an awful new player experience even after doing all the MD tutorials and having Cimooooo coach him. He couldnt get it and I dont blame him. Getting into modern Yugioh as a newcomer is like diving into advanced algebra without having learned basic addition and subtraction. I think this product is a great step in the right direction to get new players into the game.
The starter set doesn't address the main problem Rarran narrated, which was the difference between the tutorials and the actual game that is played nowadays. The starter decks make the same mistake, leading the starter to think the game is a normal summoned monsters attacking each other with ocasional s/t extra deck usage, which couldn't be further from the way modern ygo is played
@@gabriellealsena5443I get it, but I can also see that they intended it for people that know nothing about the game. I'll agree MDs tutorial is bad imo, because it doesn't force you to read/learn anything. And on that Rarran is such a bad case study he had, no intention of learning the game in the first place. He just did it for content.
Don't give up, man. I was in your shoes roughly 2-3 years ago and it's ultimately really rewarding when you start to get the hang of everything. Even then there's stuff a lot of people, including me, don't know, but it doesn't really hinder your experience.
This theme chronicle event is definitely one of the events ever made. Seriously most md events are fun because they are simple and you dont have to worry about most handtraps. So every handtrap and most of the staples are legal, its "only solo mode decks" but thats clearly a lie, they banned kaijus but kept some towers and ip + avramax, and of course maxx c, the card everyone loves to not play againt in events is completely fine...very cool konami.
Every game in this event is either watching my opponent do a no joke 37 minute combo or is decided immediately by Ash/Maxx C. Don’t know what they were thinking with the banlist for this event.
Dude Idk why people can’t understand that competitive isn’t the only way to play Yugioh, the starter deck is the very beginning, before even a structure deck. Structure decks are what people seem to be wanting, something fully cohesive as a strategy. Structure decks are a fantastic bridge between that starter deck and actual competitive decks, especially with what they’ve been of late
Deck guides in structure decks are a good idea, 10/10 do recommend doing that eventually for structure decks, but the internet exists so it’s not like it’s hard to find guides now
Whenever I learned about a multiplayer game like a MOBA or a card game, I always consulted the Internet for guides and how to play videos and Yu-Gi-Oh was no different (Cimo helped a lot lol). There are also those exact 2-player starter kits for Pokemon that my brother and I used one time. No reason why Yu-Gi-Oh can't do the same, so it's a good step in the right direction.
Your dragon ruler list needs to be updated for 2024 standard i think you should have paired the rulers with dragonmaids cause at least you have an in archtype mill with laundry plus you should be playing storm dragon's return and d.d.r just like return from the different dimension for extension plays plus the dragon version of icarus attack. Many people out here playing bad version of the rulers like your not even trying to make the deck descent you can also play gold sarc for a search dragon shrine to dump 2 dragon and world legacy guardragon to reborn maybe a turner like flamvell guard which would be dump by shrine plus dragonmaids has fusion set up and the dragon rulers are more then just tomahawk plays. You can run dragunity gram and red-eyes darkmetal dragon for easy access to galaxy eyes xyz like back in the day with dark matter dragon which is banned now but go into full armor cipher play.
I played armed dragon rulers, and it was pretty fun. Could make seals + masq + dragon ruler + a discard in hand/handtrap, or 2 lvl 7 xyz's, or vortex dragon (with no effect xD) + seals + masq. Tried a lvl 9 synchro version, but it wasn't that good. like ending on powertool braver dragon + crocodragon but I kept bricking on equip spells or didn't have discard fodder for the croc. If tomahawk was legal it would go hard
Literally the same experience, play Ghostrick Paleo and lose to staples turbo. Especially fun when it is duster. Miserable and it is somehow thought as a good event.
I think within 10 years, a large chunk of decks will start playing on turn 0, at that point ishizu tearlaments won't remain anything special. Maybe not as weak as drulers right now but surely won't be tier 0 anymore in 2033, even at full power.
Josh was so happy to play dragon rulers, like a child in a candy store
Except he was miserable for most of the duels
3:21:30 roach defeated, colossal fighter ftw!

They banned phantasm spiral but adamancipator is fine apparently
Gold Pride, too. Which Solo Mode deck can consistently play through Roller Baller?
hey, thanks for uploading these. I can never catch josh's streams live so im thankful i still get to watch some duels here.
Just wished they uploaded on TH-cam earlier cuz Twitch VODs are not smooth to go thru 💯

2:50:55 probably the simplest yet funniest duel i have seen
They should show a separate section where only the cards this event has banned are showed. It would alleviate a lot of the confusion.

Shout-out to the other goat Lithium is powerful
Your opponents were drawing the god hands against D-Rulers 😂😂😂😂😂

Joshua Bruder ich habe gerade genau dasselbe, wad geht hier bitte rum
what if the two player starter set came with a scripted duel between tearlament and kashtira.
josh's complaints about the event is practically the same complaints i had for most events
Cimooooooooo knows how to teach Yu-Gi-Oh
Dragon Maid Dragon Ruler deck profile please
At the hospital, at administration section, what job are you wrote there?

Cross Banlist Cup reference = based
Colossal Fighter for the win😂
No bell was noble
4 card combo to end on two disruptions that get outed by a 20 yr old card gg also swift in 2024
coder is literally the posterboy for being an asshole in any discourse...thats what he was literally banned for.
Im no coder fan, but yeah, what I'd call "being an asshole " could be chalked up to extreme passion or whatnot. Just being fair to the guy
Playing your favorite deck blackwings :)

DragonrulerKashtira is the better way, share their attribute and their Lv.
I am glad dragon rulers are still limited in the tcg they look really broken.
Redox pass is just outraging
Former tier zero decks.... completely and througherly power crept.
fantazmay wouldve been cool even if not so great in the event
