Viserys thought Alicent was Rhaenyra in the end scene. Earlier when Rhaenyra visited him at night she asked if he believed Aegon the Conqueror’s prophecy (a song of ice and fire) was actually true to reassure her of her duty as heir but he couldn’t answer then. He thought he was talking to Rhaenyra and Alicent misinterpreted it as meaning their son Aegon because only the Targaryen heirs know what the prophecy actually is. (A Targaryen (the prince who was promised) must sit the iron throne to unite the realm in order to defeat the coming darkness aka the night king.) He was saying Rhaenyra was the “chosen one”.

yeah this whole plot line they added was stupid trying to make her look like the “chosen one” and trying to act like targaryens are the only ones who can battle against the white walkers when the white walkers were there before the targaryens even came to westeros 😭

Rhaenyra didn't usurp this driftwood throne, because the line of succession had been settled long time ago, and both the boys' grandparents, parents and the king accepted it! Vaemond actually had no say on who should inherit the driftwood throne.

Also, this isn’t a spoiler but Alicent had a 4th kid with Viserys, a younger son, who’s not shown or mentioned this season and they cut dialogue that mentioned him. Show runners confirmed he’s still part of the show and story, he’s in Oldtown with Alicents family the Hightowers as it’s custom for highborns.

The King and The Queen never sleep together, neither Aemma nor Alicent did. It's such a royal thing to have separate chambers and quarters. Even in the real world, certain secret passages are famous that allowed various princely couples to go into each other's rooms.
The thing everyone keeps missing the point is that rhaenrya’s sons are not full bastards because they have been legally and publicly legitimize not only by the king , lord corlys but the mostly important their father laenor which he can’t take it back because it’s not that simple and plus they still have Targaryen blood while another example would be Cersei who had children with full Lannister blood but no Baratheon even tho it was obvious but yet her children were still publicly legitimize by king Robert even he was terrible and didn’t care to father them but yet Joffrey was still put on the throne as king same for tommen and no one went against them other than Ned who had no actual proof but by words sadly, in this world there was not hardcore dna to prove someone was illegitimate only by looks, Cersei also never had a claim to the iron throne since she wasn’t born royalty and cheated her way while rhaenrya is the heir to iron throne with a claim by her father and her children so the greens once again don’t any proof and just trying to still undermine her because she’s a woman, vaemond was so stupid and was power hungry like the greens which got him killed and I wasn’t surprised, alicent and Otto got caught who went against the kings wishes of trying to replace rhaenryas son Luke who is the heir to driftwood that had nothing to do with them once again but I blame the king who literally got so bad to the point he let things get bad where his daughter is getting undermined again but I do give him props for backing his daughters claim! They never were legitimized. They have to be called out as bastards first, then they receive a bastard name, in their case Waters ( Rhaenyra/ Crownlands ) or Rivers ( Riverlands/ Harwin ). After that they can get one of their parents names. Mostly it will be the fathers, which means their surname is Strong, not Velaryon and they are in line of succession to inherit Harrenhal.
You could make a similar deal and say upon ascending the throne her firstborn child takes the name Targaryen. Then Jace would be named Jacerys Targaryen. But Luke would still be in line of succession to Harrenhal, not Driftmark, because Harwin was Lyonel Strongs firstborn son. That could give some conflict with Larys though, who is currently the Lord of Harrenhal, BECAUSE they were never properly legitimized.
What you think of is adoption. That Laenor adopted them, but that was also never discussed and done. And I think adoption between noble houses isn't really a thing in Westeros. Fostering yes is very common, but adoption not so much.
All they did was gaslighting everyone and lying about the true parentage. That is not legitimizing.
Don't get me wrong, I truly like Jace and think he would be a good king! But from a legal perspective this is a desaster. They inherit lands, titles, holdings, castles and money that belongs to someone else.
Same with Joffrey and Tommen. He at least looked like his mother. His unclear parentage started the war of the five kings. Because not only Ned, but also Stannis and Renley didn't accept Cerceis children. Both Stannis and Renley crowned themselfs king. And by law Stannis was the rightful king. The reason why they never took Kingslanding was, that at least in the show all 3 of them are dead. In the books Stannis is still alive so far.
In Rhaenyras case the children looked like none of their official parents or grandparents, which is why they are harder to pass off as trueborn. Just because Cercei was better at lying doesn't make it right.
Like I said I think Jace would be a good king, but legally this is a desaster and not right. Being good at lying isn't the same as following the law.

The succession is not and never was similar to jewish succession in Westeros.
The laws in Westeros are simple, a child who is born to biological parents that are not married is a bastard. The end. Harwin and Rhaenyra are the biological parents and they are not married. So their children are illegitimate.
Even for how to legitimize bastards we know the rules. They get a bastards name, the king can legitimize them and then they can take on their biological fathers name, in that case Strong. This allows them to inherit and be in line of succession for their fathers holdings. In this case Harrenhal, because Harwin was his first born son. They are in line after children who were legitimate from birth. Harwin has no legitimate children, so Jace is in line of succession to Harrenhal after Harwin.
Though these cases in Westeros bring conflict because a trueborn uncle could try to challange the claim.
What Rhaenyra and Laenor did was lying. They kept on repeating the lie, but that doesn't make anything they did lawful. That technically makes them traitors to the realm and is considered high treason.
And the law is simple. If the biological parents of a child aren't married, the children are illegitimate/bastards. And as such have no right of inheritance.
I understand Rhaenyra is a compelling character. I prefer her over Aegon as heir and I like Jace. But that doesn't change the fact that she really screwed up. And that is a fact according to the laws of Westeros.

Also, people get confused about their sleeping arrangement. They've never slept together. He used to just call her in for sex but also he's been incoherent for years. This night would not have seemed all that different! We know he's dying but to her, it's just how he is.

Rhaenyra is a complete idiot. 6 years later and she didn’t visit her father for UNTIL she needed something, didn’t visit king landing (the place she will rule later) and she let greens RULE the kingdom all this time….. Then she comes back to her kingdom and is shocked by the changes that happened when she wasn’t there……She then tries to USURP THE DRIFTMART THRONE and making last minute marriage proposals that were denied by Rhaenys until her father came by to save her…….n people say she was a good heir and could be a future good queen lol
its the way she did NOT usurp the Driftwood throne, the head of the House SAID he wants Luke to inherit it. The truth of the matter is until DNA testing is introduced in Westeros, the King, head of the House, the mother and alleged father's word on the legitimacy of the kid is all that matters and Viserys, Corlys, Rhaenyra and Laenor had all agreed that Jace, Luke and Joffery are Velaryon, it IS Luke's birthright.
Is it unfortunate that Rhaenyra didn't stay in Kings Landing or foster alliances? yes, but you can't expect someone whose father has shielded her from many repercussions to have that foresight. She did as many of us do in the real world, you grow up and move away and don't see your family often, and expect that when your parent passes what's left to you will be passed to you with no ill will or fighting.

Your example of saying Ned giving Tyrion Winterfell because he married Sansa does not apply here because they’re not giving Rhaenyra’s second husband Driftmark, they are giving the son of the heir of Driftmark which is how it goes. The same way in medieval times Kings would legitimize their bastards, what they’re doing now simply by saying “no he’s not a bastard and has never been”. That’s literally it. If they decide and say from the jump that he is a Velaryon and as the second son of the heir it automatically makes him the heir of that specific region. They are not incorrect. If it was Rhaenyra’s son with Daemon, that’s another conversation however, this child was had during the marriage of her and Laenor and all in the situation agree that this is his son making him Laenor and Corlys’ heir meaning it is his birthright. Luke could’ve been born with a stamp on his head saying “I am Harwin Strong‘s son” but because they have no way to definitively prove it, the head of the house/Kings word is law. That is how that shit worked.
And they didn’t make her “spoiled” it’s just that she was fortunate. She had an actual parent who let her make her own choices as opposed to Alicent’s father who saw his daughter as nothing more than just an extension of himself. The unfortunate thing is we don’t get to see or know whether she was working from Dragon Stone, but I gathered from the conversation had in episode 10 that she did not just leave everything and simply coast on by waiting for her father to die.
If she did not have children with Harwin, peoples argument would be well she doesn’t have any heir. She ended up having heir and now everybody else got a new problem because I guarantee right now if she was a man who had a bastard that she claimed from the marriage she was in at that moment no one would have an issue letting the child inherit or call her retreat back to her own region, that she should be ruling over a.k.a. dragon stone, stupid

I think the 3 eggs Daemon finds at the beginning are Dany's 3 dragons
No they are Dreamfyres eggs, Helaenas dragon. 3 off her eggs were stolen and sold to Braavos in the book. That's why Danys dragons look like Dreamfyre. You can see her in EP 6 in the dragonpit, when Aemond goes in there.
The King at the end was drugged again because of the pain and thought he was finishing the talk he was having with his daughter when she asked him if he believed it about her having to prepare for the fight vs the cold and unite the realm against it . Being drugged he thought he was talking to his daughter the Queen took it wrong because she wanted to hear what she heard for what 20 years she wanted her son to get the heir! Yeah your team Black or Team Green , you can't be team Green both sides are Grey but one is the rightful heir even if Bastards her kids have her fathers blood and she was named the heir making her claim legit any attempt to take it away from her would be against the Kings wishes and no one would ever listen to the Queen only who wanted her son on the throne for 20 years !
