The Lady of House Fell, who held her House's oath to Rhaenyra, was executed on Otto's orders, as were a few others, including Lord Caswell. Lord Caswell is the man who called out congratulations to Rhaenyra and Laenor in Episode 6 when they passed by him with baby Joffrey.
Aegon the Conqueror was indeed the ancestor of "Khaleesi" Daenerys Targaryen and her brother Viserys (and both their parents, who were full siblings) and all the Targaryens in this show. The Conquest (of Westeros) by Aegon and his sister-wives Rhaenys and Visenya ended about 170 years before Viserys I's death. (Vhagar is the only living survivor).
I believe that the "stars" in you mentioned in the scene where Viserys' body is shrouded are not the emblems of Alicent's House (Hightower) but the symbol of the Faith of the Seven. There used to be more Targaryen/Valyrian symbols in the windows and elsewhere...
All of the Targayrens , those here in House of the Dragon and thus later on, Daenerys from Game of Thrones, are all descendants from Aegon the Conqueror. The House of the Dragon show happens 101-131 years after the Conquest of Aegon and Game of throne show happens almost 300 years after Aegon's conquest.
It's actually 170 years after Daenarys is born. The title sequence in E1 HOTD says it flat out. So the election of Jaharys was 170 years after Dany's birth. We may be saying the same thing lol. I know before HOTD aired I heard a million different time lines.
And Aegon, Second of His Name, newly crowned Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, hides behind his mommy when a real dragon confronts him. (kudos to Alicent, though, defending her child with her own body, considering that she has always feared dragons, she shows courage here)
I still don't know how I feel about Rhaenys trying to dunk on Alicent for not thinking outside her station. It's fun to imagine the end of the world as you know it, replaced by one that's kinder to you but Rhaenys of all people knows the order of things. Speaking in the meta reception of the characters, Rhaenys gets to be a girlboss because she doesn't have to scheme or plot for power. In GoT, people hated Cersei for seizing whatever little power she could. Silly methods aside.
Also, Rhaenys killed a lot of people, smallfolk, at the end there lol.

I hate that scene so much it literally makes no sense, Rhaenys could have died going through a ceiling but the writers wanted a cool girlboss moment that was terrible its like daemon outrunning all the arrows being shot at him and surviving......

15:09 actually Aegon brought aemond there and the woman SA him because Aegon wanted him to lose his virginity that’s why aemond was keeping his head down they don’t talk about that in the series that much just the book what I’ve heard of I was also kinda confused from this scene

The actress who played the madam on the Street of Silk, who told Aemond "How you've grown", was actually the acting teacher of Fabien Frankel (who plays Criston Cole). Supposedly, Mr. Frankel was very nervous while filming that scene; though it doesn't show, the interplay between Cole, the lady, and Aemond, was well done.
Yes, the dragon who Rhaenys rode is indeed her own dragon, Meleys, called "the Red Queen" and renowned for her speed. Rhaenys claimed Meleys when Rhaenys was 13 years old, and, a few years later, flew her to her own wedding to Lord Corlys Velaryon (making a spectacular entrance). Meleys had been kept, when Rhaenys came to King's Landing, in the Dragonpit with the other Targaryen dragons (the ones belonging to the Greens - Aegon's Sunfyre, Helaena's Dreamfyre, possibly the very young dragons belonging to Helaena's children. Vhagar is probably too big to fit in the Dragonpit now). The Dragonpit is situated directly under the Sept where Aegon II was just crowned, so the quickest way out for Rhaenys and Meleys was up through the floor, especially since the gates to the Dragonpit were guarded.

Rhaenys' asking Alicent if she'd ever imagined herself on the Iron Throne makes no sense. Even if Alicent had any desire to rule Westeros, she wouldn't have the right; not because of her gender, but because she is not in line for it, being a Hightower with no Targaryen blood. Alicent could only imagine herself on the Iron Throne if she could also imagine a civil war with several Houses rallying to put her there - which would never happen. Either Rhaenys was trying to distract and bother Alicent; or it's just poor writing. (the only way Alicent could put herself on the Iron Throne would be as a Hand of the ruler, or a regent, if her sons were dead and she was somehow appointed regent for her young grandson)
Its a poor writing, same was alicent character, from when her children were young she told them ageon will be king and helena his queen, but in this episode why is she surprised that her father and the small council were going to make ageon king?like she was plotting to overthrow rhaenyra for years and put ageon as king ,but then she is shocked that her and her father Allies were doing the same thing!
And rhanys scene when ageon is crowned is another poor writing ,like what was that for if you aren't going to kill them

Yup when I say it was messy in this episode now yall know , sadly this is where a lot of the fans of viewers fail to realize that it didn’t matter what rhaenrya would’ve done whether she made the best political choices or not because the whole entire point is that she is a WOMAN!!!! That’s the reason why she was constantly getting undermined because the greens wanted to uphold the male patriarchy system including alicent by installing male tradition of wanting aegon to be heir so it didn’t matter because the men were always gonna usurp rhaenrya anyways! Alicent acting surprised when she knew her father and the men was always planning a coup since day 1 to get rid of rhaenrya for aegon is a lil silly so I do get book fans who were frustrated with how they wrote her character as a poor sad victim who becomes the abuser with no agency when in the books she was older than 8yr old rhaenrya and was beefing with her at court, was the typical evil step mother who was undermining rhaenrya at any chance for her son aegon but I like the show alicent because it’s more tragic to me, but come on girl you knew your dad wouldn’t let his ambition go and you been telling your children that aegon will be king, I don’t think alicent was against usurping rhaenrya but killing her for aegon’s claim is what she was against but once again she’s letting her disgusting father take control and it’s funny how he was saying alicent’s children would be put to the sword if Rhaenrya ascends the throne when him and the men of the counsel are doing the very same thing to rhaenrya who’s not only unaware of all this bs but is still pregnant which is disturbing, I hate Criston Cole and the greens for what they did to the members of the houses who were loyal to the crown unlike them who don’t even what loyalty is nor sworn oaths is, poor helaena once again is sweet by keeping to herself while her green family is plotting! A little critique separate paragraphs would help. About Rhaenys there was plenty of ways out of the dragon pit, the pit has multiple entrances and exits i blame the writers for that horrible scene because it makes no sense, rhaenys could have died going through a roof along injuring her dragon but I feel the writers just wanted a girl boss moment instead just hurting their scenes in the process. As a green fan though we do have the morale high ground when it comes the bodycount of the blacks because of the stupid scene.
Y are the greens hypocrites for believing the king change his mind? I don’t believe most of the greens(council) are delusional I believe they just don’t care, Alicent is bit delusional but she does believe the king did changed his mind.
I would argue aegon wasn’t constant being abused the kid got slapped like twice in the show n for good reason the first time because he wasn’t watching his brother and being a drunk the second is because he raped a girl. (Same thing for yelling) I pity him as well because he had no father figure in his life to help shape him into a good man. I dont get king v y have more kids if u only pay attention to one of them.

7 and 8 Marries a man who killed his FIRST WIFE AND IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE VALE WHICH IS ONR OF THE SIX KINGDOMS SHE WILL GOVERN N NEED SUPPORT IN THE UPCOMING WAR.
9. Didn’t visit her father for 6 years
10. Didn’t visit king landing for 6 years the place she will rule later.
11. Let greens RULE THE KINGDOM FOR 6 years
12. Didn’t build any alliances for 6 years on dragonstone.
13. trying to USURP THE DRIFTMART THRONE
14 and 15 last minute marriage proposals that were denied by Alicent and Rhaenys
16. Advocated for the torture of her brother in episode 7
17. Didn’t visit her father until she needed something from him a man who is loosing body parts by the minute.
18. Didnt know who her Allies were before she went to war.
19. Sleep with men knowing if they r caught they will be tortured n killed. (Criston +HARWIN)
Rt comes with to much baggage as an heir while Aegon faults are not publicly known and lets be honest Aegon will be doing what he and Rhaenyra was doing for the last 6 years lets Otto, Alicent, and the rest of the council do the work lol
I would still choose Aegon because he can be manipulated by his competent counselors. Rhaenryra had the chance to build alliances but instead had to rely on her father to protect her from all the mistakes SHE made. Rhaenyra to me is a horrible heir her being a women is not the main issue for me its for all the reasons above.
I choose the side that will not destabilize the realm and that will respect the traditions and culture of westeros.....granted my choice would be Rhaenys over the horrible two choices of Aegon and Rhaenyra.

You keep saying the king and rhaenrya went against the law which is funny cause how did the king who has a say and what goes majority of the time when against what he wanted as king? @@rohanshende4338 hey dont get me wrong i am a green supporter but the king did named rhaenyra heir and didnt publicly disinherit her.(even though i would) It is treason to go against the kings word but i also acknowledge the king and princess rhaenyra were committing treason by passing off bastards as trueborns as well. To me Rhaenyra is the rightful heir but she aint an heir worth following since she doesnt respect the customs and traditions of the culture she is ruling.
I support the greens because they have been ruling the kingdom for the last 6 years peacefully and they now how to govern unlike the blacks. All of targaryen power and loyalty comes from threatening people with death of fire and dragons and when they lost those dragons their empire fell quick because most targaryens never learned through politics or diplomacy.
She explains why she didn't burn them in E10.
