The Spring of 2009 was the happiest time of my life, I remember all the fun I had as if it were yesterday... sweet childhood memories! And yet, look how different air travel was back then, at least there were still planes like the ANA 777-300ER at 0:50 back then but then there's others like the AA 767-200ER at 4:00 which seem so ancient now!
I could watch this all day...thank you! Just so gracefull watching them. Have my headphones on listening to music while watching..doesnt get any better..watching take offs and landings in Milwaukee is nothing! Wow...keep em coming plz
TANAY.2009 WOW FLASH BACK BEGINING IS NICE UNITED AIRLINES IS FABALOUSE AMERICAN AIRLINES HUGE BIG AIRPLANES I LIKE IT BUT SAD NOWADAYS PLANES ARE COMPARE THIS ARE NOTHING LESS SOUND BUT I ENJOY THIS THANK YOU.
Thanks for uploading this. I love everything about airports and flying, and the anticipation of visiting new and exciting cities! We could do w/o the cancelled and late flights though.
It's amazing how mankind has the knowledge to create such great machines. Everything just flows together, California is a beautiful place, and this world is really something else.
I cannot ever believe this video still exist from 09. I was 12 when i watched it on the tube. one of the best flyovers is gotta be the Korea Airlines And Eva Airlines. Wow i cannot even believe that i remember the name of the names of the planes.
EXCELLENT :) I love planes. They are amazing. I'm flying from Sydney to LAX in December. Its like my dream to land into LAX on a Qantas B747 or A380 xD Gahh! Finally going to fulfill it! So excited to see all the planes at LAX! :D Great job mate.
sry man, don't even bother replying i misunderstood what you said and the lufthansa i meant was one of the a340's thans for taking the time for showing me where they were on the vid too (the 777) i finally got clear what is what lol:P
k for some reason i keep on getting those two mixed up and i have no idea why.. anyways thanks an i actually meant A340-500/700 cause i remember a Lufthansa flight i took that was exactly like that and ever since then ( i was young) i believed it was a 777 lol i guess i was wrong thanks! and great vid 808!!!
Airlines taking off include Master Giant, Tsunami Airways, Amber Airways, Air Pauline, Dog Lover, Air Celest, Elizabeth Air, Big Red Car, Dodo Bird, and Air Magic. Airlines landing include Luigi Airways, Baby Daisy Connection, Oof Int'l, Yellow Warbler, Error Airways, Air Buckeye, Air Carousel, Kirby Airlines, Air Boomerang, AT-ST, Air Carnival, Bog Airlines, Air Isabelle, Ness Airlines, Baton Twirlers, Shine Sprite, BACK OFF, Villager Airlines, Flying Saucer, Paint Airlines, Fixture Airlines, My Boss Int'l, and Air Archer.
It's probably the acoustics in that area, but whenever I go plane spotting near that in-n-out - the little 737's have the highest decibels. Fay louder than the 4 engine heavies.
Not sure but I think that beeping sound has something to do with this radar unit you can see in the takeoff shots. Evertime it faces you, you can hear the beep! Just a guess?!? Nice video!
I love my home town airport. They beat out giant DFW for number three spot as 'one of the nation busiest airports and they has the most A380 traffic in the nation.'' Sad I do not live in Los Angeles any more but when I come to visit my parents, I always make sure I visit Imperail hill.
@Toffa1985 Funny you should mention that I had the same thought. I have spoken with a couple A340-3 drivers and they all say it's like taking off with lawn mower motors attached to the wings. Very underpowered.
@ninjadude92584 On takeoff or landing? What I think your refering to is the vortices that form on the flaps and wings of aircraft. They are always there is depends on the dew point and humidity of the day to make them visable. type up Wake turbulence to understand them more.
wow the air tahiti a340 at 3.08 looks heavy, or just underpowered. I will be in LA from Australia in July, cant wait to do some planespotting. Can anybody recommend a good vantage point?
The 777 can be seen at minute 0:26 (All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-300) 1:38 (American Boeing 777-200) 12:14 (Eva Air Boeing 777-300) 13:15 (Asiana Boeing 777-200)
at 5:24 is that a 777? cause man i love them they almost look like they cant lift off cause their gonna break in two they're so long especialy nice in the inside its rlly lonnggg
I was born in 2009. It’s interesting to dee how aviation was back then and how it has changed so quickly!

Really .
still one of the best LAX spotting videos. i enjoy this every time.
This, right here, was the *very first* plane spotting video I ever watched. I was very young when watching it for the first time.

I like the air malysia after take off! the 4 engines were huuge!. I liked the Eva air cargo after landing!! it had a nice sound!
Отличное видео!!!
Great video, too bad the weather wasn't perfect for spotting. Are you going to put up more spotting vids? I enjoy these just as much as your others.
planes are breathtaking for some people like us
Not sure but I think that beeping sound has something to do with this radar unit you can see in the takeoff shots. Evertime it faces you, you can hear the beep! Just a guess?!? Nice video!
awesome dude
i lov 747s
too cloudy or foggy
That looks like the save perspective from where the video of that plane that landed with the side-ways gear was taken.
I thought that this was a recent video until I saw a Continental airplane :)
you should see the view from my Caribbean house, i think some aviation junkies would go crazy lol :)
I love my home town airport. They beat out giant DFW for number three spot as 'one of the nation busiest airports and they has the most A380 traffic in the nation.'' Sad I do not live in Los Angeles any more but when I come to visit my parents, I always make sure I visit Imperail hill.
i love aircrafts !!
@8081rt Well the time you took doesn't go unappreciated - great job!!
proud to see an Aeromexico 737 at LAX!!!
OMG i was on that united 744 in the begining :) seat 22j
@ 4:03 Even that American Airlines Boeing 767-200 ROARS with those GE engines
when did they close that spot off PCH where you could park directly in line with the planes at take off?
@andrewcbro It was an Airbus A340-300 from Air Tahiti Nui.
After the planes take off they disappear into the clouds ⛅
Whats with the fog with the first one? Or did it breake the sound barrier?
Spinning in the Beginning. LOL! that rhymes!
@Toffa1985

May I suggest using a tripod? Otherwise fantastic footage! I got some myself, looking down the runway center line.
wow the air tahiti a340 at 3.08 looks heavy, or just underpowered. I will be in LA from Australia in July, cant wait to do some planespotting. Can anybody recommend a good vantage point?
Try flying across the Pacific some time, those 15 or 16 hour flights are about as exciting as a 16 hour bus ride.
Whoever filming is getting some serious radion from that radar!
Love that air tahiti a340.
Is this filmed on that cliff in El Segundo.
The 777 can be seen at minute 0:26 (All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-300) 1:38 (American Boeing 777-200) 12:14 (Eva Air Boeing 777-300) 13:15 (Asiana Boeing 777-200)
In 2009 I went on a Emirates 777-300er and I was only 2 years old.
Wow. Low clouds that day.
It’s been 10 years!!!!
ana one of my favorite airlines
whats that ?
Are these all the planes that landed/departed in this timeframe? Or are some edited out?
@8081rt AMAZING footage!
That Delta 757 and American 777 were soooo sexy!
can i ask is the best place to spot at LAX?
Great!
Landing shots taken from the park in front of In-N-Out right?
NWA?? *scrolls down* oh i see. this video was in 2009!
Miss that American Airlines livery
There's a lot of Southwest Airlines at LAX... we hardly see any in NYC.
They're complexed but magnificent machines! It's all in a days work for engineers.
haha
Okay!
No problem .. I like helping others with aircraft xD
Doesnt that American Airlines 777-200 have Trent engines and is extended range?
@Upizgany Who gets bored watching planes?? Culpano is right.. 2-3 hours isn't enough!!
@SWATutorials it maybe a 707, John Travolta and The Air Force still fly them...
@ 2:16 Thumbs up if you agree that American Airlines Boeing 777-200 ROARS with those Trent engines!
can you get a good shot of 25L arrivals from here?
Is that the Nolan Ryan Express at 10:39?
It was my first ride ever ride on a 737-700 :)
The radar is "spinning in the beginning"
L.A.X The best airport in the world!
Like for everyone look.
whats the lufthansa plane that flies out of motreal then?
4 engines very long
its one of the airbus's
@Upizgany Plane spotting is really fun for people who like it lol.
It takes a really long time for the gear to retract on the China Eastern A340-600
What is radion?
Which RWY were you spotting?
yup because 500 always tailstrike (i think( and the 200 is only medium haul (I think)
@AndreaHasBeatlemania you should go sometime! To me it's my 2nd home. I love it there so much. I'm going to move there one day soon.
at 5:24
is that a 777?
cause man i love them
they almost look like they cant lift off cause their gonna break in two they're so long
