This is just beautiful! I had never known Philly to be a hub for US Airways, nor that there ever was exceptional spotting there too! The more vids I watch of planes in general, I am forever grateful of the Wright Bros. I don't even want to think about where we would be if it weren't for them!
@airshowfansh RWY 09R is capable of managing the A380, however the ground operation is of course not prepared for it. But this is also the case with LAX (which they are changing atm), so it's just the problem with the airlines lacking demand for an A380 service to PHL.
You're probably right about the late in the evening I just wondered if anybody had a good video of it, I live in Charlotte and US Airways do not fly them in there yet and are not expected to in the near future
What we need down there is someone to buy one of them cherry picker trucks so we can get higher than that fence. Guys cargo rush 2012 is almost upon us starting 2nd week of December- let's get out there and catch some crazy early morning cargo action!
heyy my son loves your videos where dou go to spot the planes id love to take him i took him to the ups hub he loved it but didnt see planes that close
Amazing footage! I would like to know what location you filmed this at... could you give me some coordinates (so i can put them into Google maps) , or a description of where it is would be great. Thanks! Great videography skills ;)
American Airlines is going to merge with US Airways (PHL's hometown airline). The US Airways livery is to be replaced with American's new livery introduced before the merger (which includes a new logo that replaced American's famed "AA" logo & eagle)
I live about 40 minutes away from KPHL. I LOVE it! Is nice, It has 9L and 9R, and 28 and 7 or something... I fly at PHL all the time in FSX. Oh and is it sad I know all the ATC voices? Like I know PHL tower guy sounds like he knows what hes DOING! K long-ass comment over now :)
You can land an AN124 on a frozen lake but not a 747. There is all about weight distribution. More tires= less pressure. So, weight would not be the driving force behind any modifications of the airport is 747 capable.
I flew many times on Air France 365, PHL-CDG. Love their service!!
This is the planespotting video I grew up with!
awesome video. i like the random cessna twin in the middle of all the big planes.
