I was almost 400 pounds I woke up 3 A.M to work out because I was ashamed to be seen in the shape I was in. I put this Video on every morning and hit the gym. I dropped over 100 pounds in 2013. 3 years later I've kept the weight off. I will NEVER go back. NEVER.

Man, it's so crazy how time flies. I just came back to this video after 4 years of not seeing it. Oh boy, the memories, the feelings. I remember watching this video 24/7 at 21 years of age, no clue of what I wanted to be in life. All I had was the gym and basically this video. I was so lost, but this video gave me hope. Hope and the motivation to go out and at least DO SOMETHING. Guess what, 4 years later, I'm still lost - but a different kind of lost. I feel like I'm a bit more in place, more mature. I have found something that is making me enough money to live and gives me a sense of fulfillment. I have a healthy relationship. And to be honest guys, that's 99% of what you need in life to be happy. I'll come back in 4 years with another update.

It’s CRAZY how similar this comment is to how I feel about this video. 6 years ago I’d watch this every day before the gym, working a shitty job and striving to get myself out of a shitty situation... I did. If anyone else is watching this video in a similar situation - don’t give up. Keep at it. You’ll get where you want to be.

It's been 10 years since I watched this video! Every now and then, I come back to it to remind myself of my goals and what I'm focused on. And guess what? In those 10 years, I got hitched, bought a house, ran four marathons, became a proud parent of a baby boy, and really advanced in my career. It just goes to show that anything is possible when we put our minds to it and truly want it.

    • @alexandrelebienheureux5474
      @alexandrelebienheureux5474 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Sorry in advance, but getting married, taking out a bank loan to buy a house, having a child, a promotion and running 4 marathons in a 10 years timeline cannot be called an amazing success and don't require a motivational video everyday. Maybe the 4 marathons are a tough challenge, the rest is what almost everybody naturally do. And not to forget that these days it only require a divorce for a man to lose every of these things.
If a man become a milionar in a 10 years timeline, then yes, that would be a massive success, and the funny thing is that in such case, having a house and a family wouldn't be hard at all if this man wanted.

I remember waking up every morning at 6am and starting the day off with this video... that was almost 7 years ago, I was in a dark time of my life with big dreams. Really took his words to my heart and worked on my online business with a full-time job like a mad man working 15 hours a day 7 days a week. Now I have a wonderful life with a 7 figure income. 7 years ago in 2013 I didn’t take college too seriously and didn’t prioritize or balance my studies with extracurriculars, and I graduated college with a 2.3 GPA. I was depressed at graduation because always had the intention of becoming a dentist and was at a realization that I probably couldn’t do it. GPA was too low to even get into a graduate program. This video was my fire and fuel to help me prove myself.
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy to become a competitive applicant, but whenever I was mentally at a low point, this video kept me motivated through the years.
Since then, I took it a day at a time, worked odd jobs to gain life experience & to reassure myself that I will succeed. I made sure each year was something new, a growth step/opportunity. Eventually I decided to take upper level classes to show I was determined to show how bad I wanted it.
I boosted my post-bacc GPA to 3.5, applied and finally got into dental school, and this August I will have completed my first year of dental school thanks to this video.

Watched this video in 6th grade. Told myself I would play Division I football and never looked back. Put in more time than anybody I ever knew. Countless extra hours at the park running ladders, weight room sessions late at night after school, morning runs. I was obsessed. Friends would bust my balls for it. All I knew was the grind. Obsessed is no exaggeration. This video sparked a fire that was always in me, just needed to find it myself.
I persisted through a brutal path. Setback after setback. I never quit. I had a very good high school career but had no looks outside of DII. Did not help that I was 5'8" 155. One DI-AA school took a chance on me and gave me a walk on spot. Dream achieved.
It doesn't end there. It's just part of me now. The grind, it's just me. Turned myself into a Division I football player. I belong. Myself, peers, and coaches have given me that affirmation. It's because of this. I don't break. It got past the point where I would outwork everyone. Wasn't enough. Now I just fuckin compete, the grind is second nature. First spring practice is tomorrow. I am a redshirt freshman now, with a chance to make my mark. All the groundwork has been set. This video changed my life, literally. Now, how bad do you want it?

Back in 2014, around November, I was in the process of changing my life after getting addicted to alcohol following a painful breakup. I came across this video, along with many others, and I must say that it played a significant role in helping me become a better person. I learned something very important back then; that life is filled with many tests, and those tests are there to help us grow. At the time, I was smoking cigarettes, using weed, drinking alcohol, and engaging in casual sex with women I didn't love, but I made a decision to change. I started running and working on a business venture. Although the business didn't succeed, I landed a good job and developed a beautiful heart and powerful willpower. I cannot express enough how much this video helped me through that process. Even 10 years later, I still run long distances, prioritize self-love, and take good care of my mental health. Thank you to everyone involved in making this video, and most importantly, to you, Eric Thomas, for always being a force for good.

I was 275 and decided to join the Army , I woke up every day at 5:30 to run 2 miles, slowly and puking but I did it , 2 turned to 3 , 3 to 4 and then to 5 , boiled and grilled lean meats and portioned , it was hard, people laughed and asked if I was serious that I wanted the Army, I was 23 they said I was too old, I got down to 215 , started doing 2 push-ups got to 96 did no sit-ups my first day , I couldn't , I do 85 now I left Army basic training at 203 and it was one of the proudest moments of my life , cause I earned it , every painful step , every mile , every time I wanted to fuck up my diet, I stood my ground not I'm about to enter the firefighter academy and all because I fucking love the grind , the process is more important than the progress focus on consistency and you'll get results, not the other way around.....🤙🏽

I think that beating procrastination is your first and main step towards becoming successful. Talking about procrastination, I've been struggling with mine for the last 10 years and read countless books and self help methods. Here is what I'm having best results with. First of all, procrastination bulldozer method has worked wonders for me. I highly recommend you apply it. Secondly, whenever you have a task that takes less than 5 minutes to do, do it right away. No delays. I'm really starting to take control of my life now. :D

I first watched this video as a 14 year old. I was a freshman in high school. I had dreams of becoming a professional basketball player and this confirmed everything I wanted to do in life. I had my ups and downs. I was told I was not good enough, not tall enough, I was told don’t aim for that, maybe division 3 basketball.
After years of perseverance, failing, succeeding I did end up playing pro basketball overseas and I’ve been at it for 3 years now in 3 different countries. A 5’7 Filipino kid from a small town of El Monte, CA who was told you’re not good enough, not tall enough, just maybe division 3 basketball.
Dream big. Work hard and don’t be afraid to fail. I’ll be back here with another summary in a few years!

Crazy seeing all these comments and how we are all going through similar experiences and getting to a full circle together. Used to watch this for my workouts before enlisting to the army back in 2018. We as a humanity used to be a lot more hungry, there was more to discover about ourselves. Today I feel that ‘success’ isn’t the same as it used to be. It’s lost it’s meaning. People are becoming society’s version of ‘success’ without really doing anything. At least we know that no one will take away those golden years.

Used to play this video on repeat 5-6 years ago.
It impacted me so much, I even had “how bad do you want it” as a lock screen on my phone and on a post-it in my bathroom mirror.
I wanted to be a millionaire but I didnt know how I would become one.
Writing this years later having become a millionaire, graduated form a very difficult college and having bought my first 2 properties!
Its crazy to think how things have changed and putting in the work and sacrifice everyday now allows me to live my dream life.
Thanks for creating this and inspiring all of us! And if you are watching this for the first time, if you want it bad enough, you’ll get there!

Every single person who watched this video has that beast inside of them. That beast that drives them to success - drives their dreams further and slowly makes them into a reality. A lot of people cringe when they watch or talk about motivation cuz they dont have it in them. Regardless of whether you are watching this because you want to commit to HW, a sports game, gym, life goals or anything, you have got it in you. Groom that beast cherish and make it a part of your everyday life. Make it a constant driver in everything that you do and I promise those values will be so deeply engraved in your life that you will naturally never take no for an answer in anything. Every person has that doubtful - pussy mindset that questions their dreams, their actions, and all the possibilites that they dream of. It takes time, but once you get rid off that mindset through proving it wrong, by doing things to achieve that goal or dream; it will slowly start dying away and you will become invincible.

Day by day i built up my fathers business took my brother on and went full time. Started another business with him. Bought half dozen properties learned how to invest in crypto and stocks. Day by day we re getting closer to our freedom number. If you re watching this vid and reading this comment find your purpose then get good at your purpose. Nothing else matters. Surprise yourself. Once it starts working other opportunities manifest from that. Meeting likeminded people that level you up. Been 7 years since i listened to this. i used to watch this all the time in my early teens, seems that i was obsessed with being successful. now when i am 21 and i see that life isnt about being better than others , that it isnt a competition. life is about being with others , learning, enjoying or whatever you like to do.

It hurts when seeing how obsessed some people can be about money, They think they will be happy once they get it.

Your goddamn right. I think if you find you purpose in life, its good to pursue it and all, but pursuing for external reward while being depress is just wrong..

I'm a skinny dude, been at the gym for about 3 and a half months now. Slowly progressing, slowly gaining confidence, slowly healing my broken heart, slowly forgetting my memory of her. 1 thing I learned is if youre going to love someone, you need to love yourself first. Thank you for reading, you can keep scrolling down now.

WHEN I SAY I FEEL U 100%....... I MEAN IT!!! LETS BOTH SLOWLY PROGRESS ONE STEP AT A TIME. There's someone I gotta get over too, and it's gonna take a long time. I have a goal I need and a path I need to follow. All I can say is hopefully we'll be happy at some point

10 years ago I first watched this. Hits just as hard then than it does now. Same feelings, just different battles.
