    I'm so glad someone gets that we have to actually SEE the stitches! Thank you for using a light color of yarn, good lighting, and especially HUGE yarn and needles. Just watched another video and they were using black yarn and about a 3.5 mm needles, it was extremely difficult to see what was actually happening. This was crystal clear and I love that you give 2 ways to do each increase. Also appreciate that the video gets right to the point and doesn't make us listen to you talk about your vacation or your pet, etc. A PERFECT VIDEO in my opinion.

    Thanks so much! Something about your cadence and humor made it so much easier for me to get. I have ADHD, so learning new things with knitting at times can be really frustrating. I’m making my first pair of fingerless mitts and have just gotten to the thumb gusset-gah! Your video clicked for me more than any other, so thank you. Subscribed!

    • @Tigress000
      @Tigress000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How funny, I found this video to learn the stitches for fingerless gloves- and dealing with thumb gusset too! I agree about it being a good video for the stitches. I've been knitting for years, but I'm self taught so these videos when I try out new projects are ideal to help with the less common stitches! Even without ADHD, some people way over- complicate their instructions and make things confusing. This video explained the stitches very well.

    I'm really loving all of your tutorials! They are very clear and have helped me learn to knit with confidence, so thank you so much for making and sharing these :)
    I think the aspect that has been the most challenging is learning to read the patterns with the brackets and asterisks and all and trying to wrap my head around what's happening next (admittedly, I sometimes find patterns challenging in sewing as well and I have much more experience there).

    Exactly what I needed, thank you! I'm making a capelet and wasn't happy with the way the increases were worked in the original pattern. I also wasn't too keen on the original neck, so I changed that too. 🤔 Basically, the only thing I kept is the number of stitches to be cast on. 😅

    FYI: Some projects may have the previous row strand twisted slightly in w upper row strand between stitch. If u are unsure which is the right strand to m1 with, tugging on stitch on left needle will tell u which one is it as the stitch will get bigger when pulling correct strand. My project has this,it's called Rumpelstiltskin shawl. I'm not sure but I suspect it's due to the yo 2 rows down which is the same stitch as the m1.

    Just knitting a thumb for mittens and it uses these stitches. Great video! I watched 2 others and the never explained that putting on the bar different directions is even there, they just say to pick up the bar argggg. Glad I found your video for it because wow it’s great! Also is there an easy way to remember which direction to pick up the bar for which side and also which direction to put your needle into the stitch? Like a poem or something to make it easy to remember? Maybe I’m over thinking it too much lol. Thanks so much!

    I tried to learn this stitch but there are two "bars" in the middle instead of one (the row before had no slipped stitches) and it confuses me every time. Do I just scoop them both up?
