i'd say that "ON" is with enhancement effects to make it sound the best as possible (done in post). So let's say maybe they added some more compression, or used an equalizer to boost the low-end/high-end. Or added some de-essing and more things like that. And I think that "OFF" is basically the raw audio, without any post editing (what the mic itself sounds like).
Not a fan of the proportions of the sm7db. In alot of early test it sounds like it was clipping to me. If you have the 7b dont buy it if you dont have either or a preamp get the db
I usually prefer the brandless look of the original SM7B, but damn the dB looks gorgeous on this video with that lighting.
Sorry for the noob question, but what is the "processing" on/off? Is that on the mic itself or something done in post? thanks

The dB is not a better mic. It's worse. A Fethead with a 7B is the same, but has more flexibility (you can use the Fethead with other mics).
I saw some other videos on YT where the fethead was used, and the SM7B sounded better.
@@DKast84 the dB is just an excuse to slap a huge logo on the mic and claim they did something groundbreaking.
@@rickonmic Is the dB worse than the 7B or just not better?
I saw what you did there 😂
The 7B sounds superior!
