This game had a very very special way of conveying the weight of a situation through its soundtrack. Especially the last hour of the game, the music feels so intense, emotional, heroic and epic. Masterpiece!

@@lanereynolds4567 It makes sense, since the only version the people of earth knew about the Battle of Doom Island was the story told by Guy and Artea, the only 2 people to make it back alive. Both warped out before Daos boasted about using the island as a WMD.

After you've seen what the Sinistrals have done, after you've been through a long journey and finally arrived at your destination, it's something else.
Lufia II story is so good because its relatable to Real Life - Any Normal Parent would do exactly that to protect their Children, and gladly give their life for them to survive. It's the reason it hits hard at the end too.

By contrast, I've been here all along, dunno how we ended up with a copy of the first game for our SNES but the music was the hook from power on, and it's still amazing to me how good I find this ost
I rushed a bit too much myself. I was like level 51 when I entered and each fight took like 6 hours since I was so underleveled and under geared Guy had a "Spear" as a weapon still!

Ibplayed lufia 2 before lufia 1 and was not expecting the ending. That shit hit me hard
This song gave me chills when I first heard it, and is the only video game music not a battle theme I would describe as "Epic"

Everybody knew what was going to happen going into it because the first game spoiled it and Lufia 2 still became a beloved all-time classic anyway.
