Hello everybody, I tried to configure my FS6 switch on my Boss RC 505 and it does not work. I proceeded like the video said: _ memory> switch on> source assign CTRL2 pedal> moment> target TR1 rec / play AND it absolutely did not work! By doing the same way but inverting CTRL2 with CTRL1, the pedal works but just to make "Clear track". I am starting to lose patience because I can not find any solution on the net. Did you have the same problem and how did you solve it? I thank you in advance !

You set the target track in the same menu you are already in. You can set the target track to any of 1-5. You can also set one of the pedals to increase or decrease the target track.

Thanks for the swift reply! It is something for guitars; that you hit a note, you push the 'freeze' pedal normally and the note holds forever, for as long as you like, evenly and constantly in sound. I have tried to reach this effect without a pedal, just with the station, but I have not found a hack yet.

+Phill Aspden heya, if youre doing almost all guitar work, i'd go for the rc300 or rc50. the footswitch looping on the rc505 is limited to one loop channel with only one overdub that you can add/undo. since i'm using drum machines, vocals and keys, rc505 is perfect for me, i dont need to use more than one channel for guitar. the rc505 is actually the best most creative tool i've ever owned. the good thing about 505 is controlling the effects while performing. also recording song ideas without having to fire up a DAW. hope this helps!

+Rafe Shows you can change this through another setting, the unit automatically goes from rec->overdub->play, you need to change it to rec->play->overdub

Where's a GLOBAL setting when you need one!!!...how fuggin tedious is this going to be? should have a "save default" so it works rc505 wide. Roland..some times you make me angry!
okay got a work around..set up a blank phrase/memory with the control type then copy paste to other empty patterns...should work..not tried it yet though as i've just got this i've only written 7 phrases and none of them are keepers..just experiments!

You choose which track is the target track. You can also make the second foot pedal change which track is the target track.

i don't think you can move a recorded track to another track. the pedal can trigger any track you like though. hope this helps!
