Yes, it would open opportunities for them all, but it is no utopia. Big cities have their own issues. The children may be better in a larger Village/ town where they have more room to roam and have more opportunities. This would allow the young man to pursue his own study in a city.

He is a teenager and should explore the world around him, having good time with friends and first of all: he should have the possibility to study for his own future to find a good job, otherwise there is a risk that he will stay in the trap of his mom! He seems smart and having a good heart, love his siblings and work hard for the family. But, where does he stay in that situation? - His mom should take responsabilities for all her children by herself, no one said it's easy, but with a good daily plan and organisation it's possible. It's actually very sad that this boy is being robbed of his youth. This way he never gets a chance of doing the dumb stuff that kids are supposed to do at his age, in order to grow into responsible adults. He is missing important developmental stages. Children like this, usually girls but boys just as well, often leave the family at a (too) young age and break with their parents. And then when they get in trouble, because they never learned about life, they have nobody to help them. This is child abuse, or at least neglect. We shouldn't wish this for anyone.

The oldest son needs to be going to high school or some kind of trade school so he can branch out on his own. Not be taking care of his mother's kids. Seems that is what she likes doing, having kids while letting her son handle the house and everything else. Clearly there is someone "father" possibly since the youngest is just a baby and there are so many kids. Just my observation while the mother has her oldest do everything. Even though he's not the father, the title fits, as he is technically raising his own siblings as a father. Where he should be with friends his age at 16 yrs old, he clearly wants to be out of that situation and to become what he dreams in his life. I hope we hear more of him and that he gets help to find his own future, away from having to care for his mothers children/siblings.

Both my parents worked hard outside the home, the older kids cared for the younger and chores were learned and allocated from top to bottom. It was always harder on the elder kids but we seem to be the most resilient and able to be self sufficient. I learned a lot more about life than others of my age and Im grateful for all of it. It absolutely taught many life lessons some of my counterparts still havent learned, I can only shake my head and think how sad. Whats missing for this young man is a sibling closer to his age who is in the same boat, someone who can understand and share his burdens , they go together like peas and carrots, shared dreams and memories, a friend.

This was my oldest brother. He started care of me and another brother when he was 14. God knew what he was doing when he made my big brother. When I say this, he gets emotinal even after a decade.

This is far more common in Russia than people want to believe. All one has to do is go 1 hour outside of Moscow and you will find people without indoor plumbing. You can go 10 minutes outside of second tier cities and see abject poverty everywhere. It's truly sad that a country with so much oil wealth has so much poverty.

It's actually very sad that this boy is being robbed of his youth. This way he never gets a chance of doing the dumb stuff that kids are supposed to do at his age, in order to grow into responsible adults. He is missing important developmental stages. Children like this, usually girls but boys just as well, often leave the family at a (too) young age and break with their parents. And then when they get in trouble, because they never learned about life, they have nobody to help them.
This is child abuse, or at least neglect. We shouldn't wish this for anyone.

The oldest son needs to be going to high school or some kind of trade school so he can branch out on his own. Not be taking care of his mother's kids. Seems that is what she likes doing, having kids while letting her son handle the house and everything else. Clearly there is someone "father" possibly since the youngest is just a baby and there are so many kids. Just my observation while the mother has her oldest do everything. Even though he's not the father, the title fits, as he is technically raising his own siblings as a father. Where he should be with friends his age at 16 yrs old, he clearly wants to be out of that situation and to become what he dreams in his life. I hope we hear more of him and that he gets help to find his own future, away from having to care for his mothers children/siblings.

I lived this life. Made me stronger, self sufficient and able to resolve life’s challenges. Also gave me empathy. Absolutely no regrets and I appreciate everything so much more.

Both my parents worked hard outside the home, the older kids cared for the younger and chores were learned and allocated from top to bottom. It was always harder on the elder kids but we seem to be the most resilient and able to be self sufficient. I learned a lot more about life than others of my age and Im grateful for all of it. It absolutely taught many life lessons some of my counterparts still havent learned, I can only shake my head and think how sad. Whats missing for this young man is a sibling closer to his age who is in the same boat, someone who can understand and share his burdens , they go together like peas and carrots, shared dreams and memories, a friend.

This was my oldest brother. He started care of me and another brother when he was 14. God knew what he was doing when he made my big brother. When I say this, he gets emotinal even after a decade.

This is far more common in Russia than people want to believe.
All one has to do is go 1 hour outside of Moscow and you will find people without indoor plumbing. You can go 10 minutes outside of second tier cities and see abject poverty everywhere.
