What is the lutron remotes controlling? Are the lights plugged into a Lutron device, which is then plugged into wall. and the remotes control the ‘device’?
Where did you get the the switch cover that holds the remote? Did that just come with the Lutron set you have linked or did you buy it seperate? Specifically the one that had 3 spots for the normal light switches. I can't seem to find it anywhere even looking at the one you linked...
Hello. Great video. I am assuming you had to cut the led strip. If so, is the one in the link you provided can it be cut, and what adapters you use to extend the led on the top of the fridge?
Yes, I cut the LED strip lights to the length needed. Yes, the one in the link I provided is cuttable. You just have to cut them at the designated locations and with good, sharp scissors. To extend the wire above the fridge, I used the solderless snap-on connectors (link added to the description just now). I cut the wire between the two snap-on connectors, then used the heat-shrink solder connectors to essentially splice in a longer piece of wire between the two snap-on connectors. I found that the clamp-on style connectors (www.superbrightleds.com/search/led-products/stn8-2pc+stn8-2pc/) worked fine to connect to the LED strips, but did not work well to connect to the wire.

Nice job.. how you looked into adding smart control to both banks? And adding both to a single control?
Great job 👍🏻
Thanks!
What kelvin rating did you go with? I don’t recall you saying. Some shots it looks white and some it looks like a warm white.
4000K
We both level our outlet cover plate screws…. A detail often overlooked. Reserved for only the most severe OCD cases…

Exactly. One device plugged into the cabinet above the range hood, other device in a cabinet above the counter
What powers the “remotes” switches you mounted if they’re wireless?
They have a built in battery that lasts 10 years
@@brianapel8404 thank you.
do you need wifi for this to work? or can it work offline?
You’ll need WiFi and the Lutron bridge for my setup, but not for just one switch to control one other device
is that light strip reliable? my light strip has some nodes dead after about a year.

Buy separate. Super common at big box stores, and less than $1 usually.
@@brianapel8404 awesome, thank you.
I think I need a video about how to cut and put all the sections together😔 my mind isn't wired for this stuff.
Can someone help me find the previous video so I can see how he put the wires?
What gauge wire did you use to run between the strips after you cut them? Did you solder the wires to the light strip ends to connect them?
18 or 22, I can’t remember. I used solderless shrink connectors. Should be a link in the video description.
Did you use a driver for each set of lights
Two drivers. One for each bank of lights.
Hello, I like your video very much. Are you interested in the evaluation of a Led motion sensor closet lights?
Sure.

@@brianapel8404 excellent thank you for sharing.. i am doing my lights next week end..
Where did you get the switch faceplate that the remote mounts into ? Is that just a standard faceplate or specifically made for the pico remote ?
Normal plate.

Had anyone placed the led lights further back to hide them as I don’t have the edge under my cabinets
I don't think you'll need to put them too far back in order to not be visible. Sit at your table nearby and see how much of your cabinets you can see.
