Thanks for a great video. I’m about to tackle this job next week or so. Im buying a cheap manifold from eBay with the cat for $120. Hope it does the job.
I pictured passenger side to be easier than the driver side. Man was I wrong. There's much less space on this side. Also annoying that you can't move the heat shield out of the way.
Genuine Lexus. Given the headache involved and the catalytic converter within the part, I would not buy anything else. This is not something I'd like to do more than once.
@@CristianCruz-jf4iw Doug thorley headers are one of the very few options available. If you plan on having the car or another 50,000 plus miles I would go that route, otherwise would just go Lexus

Great video again. 2uz videos help. I have an exhaust tick on my LX and I'm dreading doing this one.
Finished it relatively quickly. Can’t get the egr pipe flange lined up with the exhaust manifold to save my life. Not sure what to do anymore.
Awesome video. Very helpful. Did you not raise/lower the engine off of its mounts to aid with accessibility?
Nope, not to my recollection!
Simply the best mother fucking repair video. I. Have. Ever. Watched. Thanks man!! Oh yeah, did I say ever?
Comment of the year right here. You're welcome!
@@user-df1gh8le6l Motherfuckin right!!!!
How many hours does this job take?
That is all relative to how seized the nuts are on the exhaust manifold studs. 8 hours for both sides.

This helps a lot thank you for the video. What brand are those exhaust manifold did u replace with?

Then you shouldn't have bought genuine Lexus. They messed up on these headers and this is a common issue
@@nogooddisplayname that is very true but it’ll probably last 150k miles as well
@@nogooddisplayname what brand would you recommend? I'm in need of replacing mine and was not sure of buying oem or another brand?
