It's parfocal on the Pocket 6K and 4K, and I saw that there was mention/question of using screw on filters, and yes. You can. The rehousing doesn't get rid of the filter thread of the original lens. It may be harder to attach because of the new modified front element of the housing. Then again, I have the 114mm versions of the 18-35 and 50-100 so that may or may not be impact.
thanks for the vid Damien. i had no idea still lenses could be rehoused into cine-like lenses. i've only heard of lenses being rehoused if something was damaged. i appreciate and learn so much from your vids! Merry Christmas and Best Holidays to you and your fam and your staff!!! Peace
Is the friction for the focus and the zoom on the modified version the same as the original still version by any chance? I find the still lens to be quite tough to turn, especially for wireless follow focuses.
@@kurtnelle I’m not aware of any Cinelens by any commonly known manufacturer that has a backfocus adjustment built in. That’s a thing pretty common in ENG 2/3 inch lenses but not common Cinema.

Ever considered that option?
Nice one! Have a sigma 18-35 and a 50-100..would be a great solution but I also use them for photos
Gaf tape on the aputure ring is a good hack!

Does the converted version still have auto focus for stills or video ?
no AF
Hey man! Curious, Can I still use 72mm Circular screw-on filters on this mod? Thanks for the video!
Nope. I suggest getting a matte box for this
What’s the difference between a Cinematic lens n an ordinary lens?

Why this vid sound like it was narrated by BirdPerson?
No adjustable back focus. Hard pass.
Ever heard of shimming the mount?😂
@@oleschreiterdopac696 Yes, and that's a non starter concept for those of us that can't afford a second AC.

What adjustable back focus mean?
