    Hi @The Urban Nomad, thanks for the detailed video. I am planning a similar trip in the last week of July 2024 and my journey is directly to Langkawi (layover at Singapore), and then later to Kuala Lumpur. I still don't have to worry about an e-visa and can directly go to Langkawi and ensure the fulfillment of the criteria and provide supporting documents as mentioned in the Embassy Portal, correct?. Please confirm.

      Hi, I am glad that you enjoyed the video! Langkawi is an international airport and I hope immigration rules are the same there as well! But it may be worth confirming with them by sending an email. Have a great trip and travel safe!

      If you are travelling in AirAsia and booked extra luggage, it will be for one PNR. In your case does not matter how many person flying, it will be 30kg total for the PNR! But you may check with airline!

    Hi, I really liked the details of your video. It's very helpful.
    Any idea can I pay with bookmyforex card in agoda for hotels and klook for outings?
    And if I don't have any credit or debit card with zero foreign mark up charges and I am planning to use normal debit or credit card which is better to pay in indian rupees or MYR for online hotel and outing bookings from India itself?
    I am planning the trip in November first week, hope the weather will be fine.
    And also the layover is around 1hr 40mins or 2hrs 40mins with Air Asia transfer coverage. So is it enough time as I will be travelling with my aged parents.
    And I also saw somewhere additional tourist tax we need to pay at the hotel. Can you tell about that?

    • @TheUrbanNomad
      @TheUrbanNomad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First of all, thank you! I hope you will find other episodes of the series useful as well! Let me try to address your queries!
      > In case you have option to pay in INR, its better to use that!
      > November should be nice time to visit.
      > I would suggest 2hr 40 min layover one! Other one will be too tight! Specially if you need to change terminals. Ours was 2 hr 50 mins.
      > I have not paid anything extra to hotel other than booking value! if taxes are charged, that should be included when you book the property! Only exception is George Town, Penang! We stayed in the colonial quarter and had to pay a little Heritage Tax!
      > I have not used BookMyForex card, so have no idea on that point! Sorry!

      The immigration will take max 30 minutes if there is not much queue. Transfer to other terminal may take 30 minutes. Plus keep some buffers for domestic check in etc. I think you should book a flight after 9 am!

      7 kg ka cabin baggage allowed hai bas! Usme backpack plus laptop ka bag le sakte ho, but total 7 KG per person hi rahega! Usse jada hone se chargeable hain!

    need to ask few things to plan my tickets travelling from banglore.
    1:- how long visa process took once you deboarded the flight considering the distance to visa counter and all.
    2:- what time was the flight you booked to langkavi ?
    I thankyou again @TheUrbanNomad

      Thank you Naveid! I hope you like other episodes of the series as well!
      1) The visa itself takes 5 minutes. For me from boarding off to getting visa took 30 minutes.
      2) I had 2 hours and 45 minutes layover to get the Langkawi flight.

    How much money show for immigration

    • @TheUrbanNomad
      @TheUrbanNomad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interestingly, Malaysian Govt. Website says "sufficient fund" and does not provide a clear value! However I believe other than hotel and air ticket if you have Rs 7000 to 8000 per day, per person as reserve in your bank account, that should be fine! The fun thing is they did not ask me to show the bank statement, only checked the return ticket!
