I haven’t used swivels since I started using braid years ago plastic on a jig head shouldn’t spin anyway. Problem was with tiger eel I took the spool off and lost one of the shims without realising it. So line was piling up on one end of the spool . Found it on the floor, put it back in and it’s all fixed
Great vid Scotty I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments regarding breeding size fish. Its got me buggered how you don’t have a bigger following cheers.
Nice fish Scotty. Bit more movement in the boat than usual 😂 Did you get the Anti-reverse sorted? I thought mine had gone on a rarenium, but when i pulled it apart to clean it, discoved that I hadn't put it back together quite right the time before so it would let go under sudden pressure.
I pulled off the side plate and greased inside plus used a bit of oil on the main shaft bearing which it think is the anti reverse saw online that too much oil can make them stick and not work , seems fine now
@Saltfix yea should be plenty around here in NZ aswell just need a good window to get out. Convince Jack to come home for a fishing mission soon hahaha
I had a great hookup on a mullet head once land based by it spat it by the time I got to the rod. Some guys swear by fish heads and I don't disagree but the hookup conversion rate is the part Im not so sure about
Mate so good and inspirational
Thanks
Try using a small swivel and it helps to stop those wind knots. I find that without a swivel soft plastics twist the line up. Great video scotty...

Nice one Scotty, fantastic catch just like the good old days. You may need a smaller boat again 😂

That's a small one down rocko way. Anything over 10kg is considered big. Small snapper are okay eating but the bigger ones are abit tuff.
First 🎉

We keep the undersized snapper alive in the live bait till we going cause throwing them over board is the absolute worst thing you can do
Yeah kings are the same once you release a few they get shy
🙋♂️
Thanks 🍌😂
