Huge thank you to all who keep showing support & tuning into the channel, would love to hear how all the local Perth crew got on during the first weekend back chasing demersals? 🎣👍🏻
How clear was the water out there mate? Well on Friday anyway, Saturday maybe a better colour with the swell? Hurd mixed results from Saturday, some guys seemed to get it done easy inshore but a fair few others seemed to struggle 🤷🏼♂️😅 it’s a weird game we play haha ✅
Caught a very decent snapper trolling the day before the ban lifted and then a 1m Sambo on a paternoster rig the day after the ban lifted. Odd days out.
Haha hey mate 👋 far far too kind, there is plenty better out there but I’m happy enough with how my vids turn out considering I still do ALL my editing etc on a phone ( I don’t own a computer and wouldn’t know how to use one even if I did 😂😂 ) I have a heap of stickers etc I got made up, if you see me around yell out and I’ll hook you up with a few 🎣🎣👍🏻
Great vid. I was out for first light and caught a train of a sambo similar size to the one you caught. Keep the videos coming. Only been in perth 5 months from the uk and learned a hell of a lot from both your videos
Hey mate glad to hear you scored 💪🏼🎣 they are such an awesome fish to catch, one of my favourites just for there power. Appreciate the feedback man, we just love making vids and if people are learning or enjoying them that’s just the bonus 🐟🎣✅
Outstanding video lads. Just for future reference the big flatheads are the breeders. Try throwing them back. And they don’t taste as nice as the smaller ones.
Thanks mate really appreciate it. Agreed 100% next big flatty I get will get to swim free, it was delicious but a little dry ( perhaps I over cooked it 😅 ) I am all about releasing the big breeder though with species like snapper so I should do it right across the board. Cheers for watching mate glad you enjoyed 🎣👍🏻
Cheers man was really good to get back out there, just something about the chance of that bigger snapper that gets me way to excited haha 😅 easily the biggest flat head I have ever caught was a monster 🎣🎣✅
Thanks mate!! We had the flatty in wraps was really good how ever a little dry, maybe I overcooked it slightly or just because it was a big old flatty 7.5 out of 10 haha 😜 the baldie the next night we made home made fish and chips and baldie is prob my favourite eating fish at the moment that scored a solid 9 😂 baldie won this round but I do think I slightly over cooked the flatty 😅😎
@@rush.gang.fishing big flathead do tend to be more dry, especially a rock flathead that size (pretty much as big as they get) i dont really keep many Flathead over 45cm, 50cm max, better eating around that 40cm range and all the big ones are breeding females
Haha yeah it’s funny when ya look back at footage, it shows what you miss and it’s quiet interesting haha 😅🎣 cheers for watching mate appreciate it 👍🏻✅
Always worth a watch mate, as for boat rods something heavy duty very high rated I've no examples tho 😂 my rods are in storage at the moment. also a multimeter open reel is a good combination alot more power in them and more benefits with them
Nice one Jack. Sambo pain is the best pain. I pre tie a few snells at home so i don't have to tie on the water. Either to a ring, or straight up leader so just a joining knot to tie to braid. Wrap them around an old line spool, but i see lots of people use pool noodle or foam chunks.
Hey mate 👋 Sambo pain is certainly a good problem to have 👍🏻👍🏻 yeah I think with the ski I now need to get more organised having pre tired around a pool noodle seems like the go ✅ cheers for watching mate 🎣

Tough going inshore sat for us. Similar results to you guys but couldn't convert out slightly deeper.

@@rush.gang.fishing the clarity looked better in your vid and I had my hopes up it might bring on some better snapper action but alas.
@@fishing_fam_wa hahaha how’s the luck there 😂 iv never got a snapper on the troll & I’d bloody love too. Were you using a super deep diving lure?
One of my favourite TH-camrs by a mile. So real and always learn a lot watching your videos. Keep it up bro

Proper monster was the flatty!! How good to be back out there chasing snapper etc again ✅🎣🐟
what are you using to tie your mulie?
Hey mate 👋 cheers for watching! It’s called vexed bottom meat thread. Awesome to keep softer baits on the hooks ✅🎣
How’s the bites on the bottom rod in the background at 4:11
Haha yeah it’s funny when ya look back at footage, it shows what you miss and it’s quiet interesting haha 😅🎣 cheers for watching mate appreciate it 👍🏻✅

tell me you secret spot bro
Haha hey mate 👋 no secret spot here just out spending time drifting a bit of likley ground. Was a fun morning this one. Cheers for watching 😎👍🏻
Get yourself a boat rod
Big difference for that whitein rod your using
Hey mate cheers for watching 👍🏻 what boat rod would you recommend? These “whiting” rods of mine seem to be able to stop most Perth fish 🤷🏼♂️ ?
