This story is 9 years old. The real DPR his name is Ross Ulbricht. He was sentenced to 2 life sentences + 40 years in prison. They made an example out of Ross in 2014. No one was framed, it was Ross the entire time. He was only 29 years old and now his family runs a blog where they post his writings from prison about losing his freedom

drug related crimes went down b/c of it i would guess, if someone wants to do the drugs its their body... also why is he serving 2 life sentences when he didn't sell drugs just hosted a website that let people do it, I have to ask myself why not go after the dealers and fine this guy. Man I remember people in my high school using Bitcoin on the silk road back in 2013. It was trading at less than $100 a coin back then. Price fell like 80-90% when they shut the site down.
Then the us govt seized all of the bitcoins a the price skyrockets

Of a 12 year old is getting access to opium products it will most likely be from dealers in their community. Not through buying bitcoin and going on an online market place. Or even stealing pills from their parents. I just find it highly unlikely that a 12 year old would go the online market route.
