VPNs are bad for dark web as most smaller/less used so better/cheaper VPN’s will sell your data but anonymously through the dark web which is how they make a few extra bucks. They might say “we don’t sell your privacy” and sometimes that’s true but through the dark web they can do what they want

As for child pornography, there is actually several orders of magnitude more of it in plain sight on the surface web than there is on the dark web. It's an unnerving, sad fact that you should've mentioned as a side bar during that segment to bring attention to your viewers.
