I have the Comfort Seats in my F10 (520d SE) and they are fantastic. The original owner had them fitted from new - lucky me. I can drive 600 miles+ in one day with no backache. Indeed, I once drove 440 miles ((of a 750 mile one-day journey) non-stop (racing to get a Euro-tunnel train) with no back problems. And when I say "non-stop", I mean just that: no stopping, no comfort-breaks, no re-fueling, stayed in our seats the full time. The only time we were momentarily stationery was to pay the motorway tolls. My next 5-series MUST have these types of seats.
Hi , can you give us few steps on the wiring? I have the same standard seats half electric. Have found the exact same seats you have, sport-full electric. My guess, see below but plz correct me if wrong: 1. Take seats out. 2. Power off Negative from car battery. 3.Rewire can connection, from under the carpet rewire green+orange to the Jack (pin2 orng, pin3 green) which is normally connected to the seats. 4. Ground the 2 brown wires on of the yellow jack on the new seat, meaning splice them. 5. Build in new seats & connect batterry 6. CODING, Can you share som info on how to with maybe Insta Inpa).
I’ve heard that f10 seats can fit into the f25 x3 but that some of the wires need to be rearranged but don’t know anything about which wires need to be moved where and how you could find this out. If you have any information on this let me know!
Hi.. good video.! I have a question.. I had done the retrofit from basic electrical seat to comfort ( not a fully functional) I had coded but I have the problem with Lin bus connection. I know it’s a yellow wire but I don’t know where’s connected ( From - To ) do you remember what did you had done .. ? I have ISTA but doesn’t show me where the pins goes thank you in advance
hi there, i have a question if u have an opinion about it. is it possible to change the rhd front seats to lhd ? i wanna buy a right hand drive bmw and then i will need to change them to left hand drive front seats in order to use in another car of mine which is lhd. thanks in advance
where you will have some problems will be with regards to the passenger sensor. also If you get something more complicated, aka my electric seats, those had an ecu on the driver seat. Now if you put in some effort those challenges can be overcomed by coding and some classic component swapping. If you are in the UK, I can code the passenger sensor off.
I bought a whole set 2011/ F10 Comfort seat for my 2015/ F10 and found out the seat frame in pre LCI is 2.5" wider then LCI. Is there any way to retrofit those seats?
Hi,I have a BMW E60 and I was wondering can I fit The F10 BMW seats , Or any other Way to make them fit.I know the BMW7 series e65 fits as long as I can remember. But I don’t want to fit those seats . Thanks
Do you think it would be possible to get those seats to work on a simple 12v system without canbus ?(i am thinking of getting those seats to put into my mercedes sprinter camper)
@@BestCarMods ah bummer, i was hoping to fit the comfort seats (especially for the seat extension part) Will the seat refuse to work at all or just the heating part? Thx
@@erwinpatricia6296 all aspects of the Comfort seat will not work. all your stepper motors are operated by PWM signals and they might also be at lower voltages if i remember correctly.
@@BestCarMods Thanks for the reply, that will save me a lot of headaches. I just looked up the M sport seats, dint knew they had a seat extension as well. Guess i will get one of those or find a pair of Audi A8 D3 seats (from what i could find they seem to work on a battery as well)
I have fully electric sport seats with memory and heating, are comfort seats plug and play for me? The car is 2010 and my friend is offering me f01 comfort seats from 2012
Please advise, I have 2009 750li seats with every option available and tying to bring them to life but can’t find any info for can bus wiring etc. where should I start? Thank you!
What would be there reason of changing seat mounting in LCI? They couldn't be bothered with making new fenders without hole for indicators yet they change such a big element.
On some forums I have seen people speculating and saying that to allow for X drive or Active Hybrid. However if you look at the active Hybrid production date they overlap the LCI 2011 - 2016. It will be a mystery.
Hello. I have standart seats 2011 half electric no xdrive. Can i install m sport seat 2012 half electric xdrive. With plug and play? No coding? Thanks.
Yeah, I know it sounds good for the narrative, but saying those seats were built for torture is far from the truth! In my F10 I also have the standard seats. And I have a Skoda Octavia as a company car. Now those are some seats in which you pray for your death in a more than 2 hrs drive. The standard seats in F10 are good enough for long journeys, although not so good as the comfort seats.
I've got a 2005 bmw 5 series e60 seat. Does anyone know if it's possible to use it outside of the car or do you have to have connections to the cars computer? can I just put power to it and have it work?

you are one step higher with the seats ... the comfort seat option is the must have for a BMW

Nice video bro I have 2013 535i Msport with comfort seats I want to swap it out for sport seats what do I need to look for
The answer for your question is a complex one. It is not a thing that can be covered in a comment.
Are the seats of the wagon the same as the sedan? Best regards.
front ones yes. rear not.

Hello did you figured it out? i have same situation
I used ISTA + to see the wires connecting..! If do you have electrical seats already do you’ll run wires from JBE ( fuse box ) to the seats
I’m wanting to go from my M sport heated/cooling and massaging seats to the M5 seats with the same options. Does that require any coding?
Did you win Mate?
Thanks!

I haven't tried to do it. I think it has been mentioned in the video, for people to make sure they get the right gen seats.

yes. you might just need a bit of coding to remove a airbag error but usually it is a easy plug and play .

You can use them outside of the car. You will have to provide power to the appropriate pins and they will work.
Wonderful news. If i sent you some pictures do you think you can point me to which pins to apply power to? Thanks!@@BestCarMods
I can sort out that information, but I will have to charge a fee. @@solonjeaninekobza7506
