  • A big upgrade to comfort, support and style! Retrofitted these fairly rare ventilated, active multi-contour BMW seats into my BMW X5 E70. Although the sport seats are nice, these are a huge upgrade and will feel great in the summer and on longer drives. The instal is plug and play as long as your seats are equipped with the lumbar adjustment features. Thanks for watching CARSAVI and remember to drop a LIKE, COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE.

    This is exactly what I want to do as well. I'm so glad I came across your channel! Im trying to find a good spec 13 e70 35i just like yours, Im also from Ontario. How has the x5 been to you so far? Reliability and Fuel Economy wise, it must be $150 for a full tank.

      Thank you so much, I appreciate the support. They dont come by too often in high spec especially the 2013's. I bought this as a bit of a project and a gamble as I didnt start but had tonnes of good maintenence. I diagnosed it as a starter/ground issue and got luckily. I've had to do plugs/coils and a water pump/thermostat as maintenance which ran me about $1000. I also did the seats obviously and style 214 rims with spacers and about to install mr.12volt carplay. So far he $150 full tank hurts but my wife mostly drives it so its not too bad since she doesnt commuete so its a family/cottage car! Happy to help with any questions!

    Great upgrade. I have cooled seats in a 2019 X3 & I can hear a fan blowing in the rear of the car when I turn on the cooled seats. Didn't you have to add a fan somewhere in order to get the ventilated seats working?

      Yes its great in the summer! Loving it so far. No additional fans needed, the fans are already in the seats they have to have the perforated seats from the factory.

    Hello. Helpful video, thanks. Also, at 6:51 in the video (plus-minus), there is a bracket on the right side, screwed onto the back frame. Could you please tell where you got this?

      That came with my car it had an additional claw to hold a phone. I’llcheck the brand I’ve seen it online for about $25-$30.

    Nice job ! I dream to get these features .
    You did not need to code anything ?

      @carsavi  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! Its definitely a dream. No need to code anything for function, I will have to code the CIC iDrive to show the heat/cooling level for the seats though.

      @@carsavi and according to your video , no need to adapt any harness ? All is plug and play ? Just need to code CIC ?
      I m happy to know that this retro fit is easy.
      The hardest is to find the black leather seats in very good condition. Same color than mine and with the ///M badged headrest, with the same setting buttons on the side

      @@real_kensou Exactly, but I mention in the video it is only plug and play if you have lumbar adjustment on either base seats or sport seats. Otherwise there would be some wiring/coding involved although I dont think it would be terribly hard just need to run power and ground.

      @@carsavi actually I have all the possible adjustments on this seat , so it is plug and play
