Black-backed Jackal (Canis mesomelas) Animal Call & Video
Black-backed Jackals fascinate us and are one of the most interesting of the wild canine family. We have a short video of some clips of the hard to photograph Black-backed Jackal (Canis mesomelas), as they seem to constantly be on the move unless they are on a scavenged kill. The video clips are all from the Crocodile Bridge region, including 2 clips taken on a night drive.
We hope you enjoy the video, please like and subscribe for more content.

I think the word bweha, which came from the Swahili word mbweha (it means a "jackal") is a more proper name for silver-backed and side-striped "jackals" than the word jackal is because the word jackal originally referred to the jackal (Canis aureus), jackals are more related to wolves than to silver-backed and side-striped bwehas, and these two African canids are in Lupulella. Do you think so?
