I'm doing a research project for my reading class about the Hotel Galvez and my mom just so happened to tell me that we stayed there one time on the 8th floor😧 I was horrified of the fact that that's where I always felt a ghostly presence in the room... But it's a really cool topic to research and you gave me a lot of info about it that I needed! Thank you :)
Of course! Some information I said wasn't correct. The lady of room 501 killer herself in the left terrace. Some have seen the ghost of gangsters up on the 8th floor, theres a lot that lingers there. I'm happy I could help!
I live in Houston, and take a staycation with the fam at least one weekend per year. No joke-oftentimes, there’s just a general dark energy/pall of sadness that seems to blanket certain areas of the island. It’s hard to explain. Just an awful lot of tragedy and death that took place there. How can there NOT be a heavy residual of darkness and grief, y’know? Also, took a “ghost walk” tour, and saw Robert Durst’s old residence. I was sufficiently creeped out.
I always knew about the orphanage being where Walmart is now, but I had no idea the orphans and nuns were actually found where the galvez is. That’s one heck of a distance!
We just stayed here last night in room 518. My husband said he smelled a floral scent all night and it gave us the shinning vibes. What room were yall in?
I will be getting married June 18th and staying at the Galvez for a few nights for our little honeymoon weekend. I live outside of Houston and have driven by the Galvaz many times when ive been to Galveston. This will be my first time staying there!
Enjoy your saty! It recently got sold to a new owner. He embraces the paranormal and he actually changed the color of the galvez back to its original. If you stay in 501 I hear he restored it to the original 1950s look. Congrats on your marriage!
Hey! I recently watched y’all’s TH-cam video of y’all exploring the Hotel Galvez and I know of two other locations that y’all need to check out that is really Haunted! One location is at the Galveston Railroad museum on the Galveston strand and the other is the Haunted Mayfield Manor which is on the strand as well. The Haunted Mayfield Manor serves as a transition Morgue during the 1900 storm that wiped out the whole island.
stayed there last night - room 301 we explored a little bit with only knowledge of which floor was haunted, we went to the 5th floor which looked to be in a middle of a remodel, doors had plastic over them but we kept hearing voices behind all the doors. boyfriend woke up a 5am because he heard doors slamming . The whole hotel smelled beautifully floral in certain spots & very cold. the pic of Galvez kept coming out blurry. I definitely hope to go back.
I stayed there with my wife and daughter and around 10pm and the locked door just opened up on it’s on then closed, I immediately looked out the door and looked right left down the hall there was no one
I was there that weekend, in fact I'm in one of their shots. I have to be honest, the only activity I saw was at the pool but I was pretty lit with rum. Great hotel and the hushpuppies are to "die" for.
I am surprised they let you investigate because 2 weeks ago I called to stay there with my granddaughter to investigate and they said the person that took people around hasn't come back yet and so the tours are off right now but they could give us the information and we could walk around on our on but no investigations.
They were very kind to us. The second time they let us go in places the public is not allowed. I believe it was the matching shirts and over all professionalism we held as investigators. (Not saying you and your grand daughter can't be pros)
My friend and I spent like $360 for a room back in mid October of 2015 for one night. A bit expensive but ultimately an overall great experience. We ended up doing a ghost tour in a nearby cemetery which was also nice.
One night at the hotel it was strong activities the pictures has changed and I kept seeing a woman figure shadow in my room waving. Then voices on top of that like children laughing when I was sleeping.
Please make more even though it’s been 3 years your personalities aren’t insufferable and the editing is good enough to be enjoyable
I have good news for you in the works!
I go there every time I go to Galveston. It’s more beautiful than scary. And the food is OUTSTANDING. I still get the creepy feel though...
Bruh I love how the secretary is like, “the ghosts are on the fifth floor”😂😂😂
And the security is like I can't talk about the ghost
We are aware and respectful of the ghosts of Galveston
They aren't just on the 5th floor lol. I work there. Plus they can obviously go through walls.
There are 8 floors in the Galvez, one elevator goes to 7 and the other goes to 7 and 8.
You need a door card key to get to
7 and 8.

@@hauntedgroundsparanormal thank you very much :) 👍
Very enjoyable to watch. I’m from the Houston area and I’ve always wanted to investigate there. Thanks for sure 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!

I LOVE HOW HE WAS LIKE GET OVER HERE AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AND THEN HE WAS LIKE OH THERE WAS A SKELTON. YOU SCARED IT AWAY
😂 that was our first time ever using the sls technology and I admit I was a little over excited.
Beautifully haunted.
Great investigation
I once stayed here for a couple nights in 2017, our lights kept turning on and off on its own
Yeah the actually orphanage was where Walmart sits today but this is where they were found
I always knew about the orphanage being where Walmart is now, but I had no idea the orphans and nuns were actually found where the galvez is. That’s one heck of a distance!

It was awhile ago, but I know we were in the right wing on the 5th floor. The second time we went it was 105 then 126 I think
The orphanage was near the current Walmart. As few miles away.
I was saying the same thing
Correct. People always get this wrong.

Hope your stay was great! Anything interesting happen?
Hi, just want to say I just got hired on with hotel. I'm super excited to see what all is going on.
They just renovated hotel it looks so beautiful
I would love to hear stories of what the renovations sturred up

Is Murdochs on Sea Wall Blvd open?
Yep
Very professional 👌
Thanks 😅
are you still around? I'm planning a trip and need some info.
The orphanage was where walmart is now on seawall.
As many times as I’ve been to that Walmart I haven’t seen anything but I do get an weird feeling knowing the history
That's what my boyfriend said, he lived in Galveston for awhile and said he avoided that the most
Great. I’ll be staying in room 501 in November b4 we go on a cruise…now I’m terrified lol 😅
Don't be. No malevolent ghosts there. I work there. But the whole hotel is haunted. Audra is just our most favorite ghost.
I stayed there with my wife and daughter and around 10pm and the locked door just opened up on it’s on then closed, I immediately looked out the door and looked right left down the hall there was no one

16:00 in the video. The voice sounds like more it sayin “hey Freddie , I got u.” I wanna know about if y’all might hear that too
Woah I think you nailed it!
I'm going in October what places do you suggest?
i remember going there and my sister and i got really weird vibes from the man in the painting. later we found out the story
I am surprised they let you investigate because 2 weeks ago I called to stay there with my granddaughter to investigate and they said the person that took people around hasn't come back yet and so the tours are off right now but they could give us the information and we could walk around on our on but no investigations.

The orphanage was NOT near the Galvez. It was where Wal-Mart is now. Get your stories right.
This. People get this wrong all the time!
out of curiosity, what is the cost of staying there
My friend and I spent like $360 for a room back in mid October of 2015 for one night. A bit expensive but ultimately an overall great experience. We ended up doing a ghost tour in a nearby cemetery which was also nice.
$350 today
Which room did you get I heard 501 is the most haunted
Lordy, lordy, you guys are full of it.
Are u guys based out of Houston?
We are not, we're based in Dallas 😊
@@hauntedgroundsparanormal. Where is the most haunted place in Dallas, in your opinion ?
What room were y'all in?
I believe this time it was like 232 but I have a second video where its 501 and room 505
Research about the ghost bride who hung herself on the roof. She stayed in room 501.
One night at the hotel it was strong activities the pictures has changed and I kept seeing a woman figure shadow in my room waving. Then voices on top of that like children laughing when I was sleeping.
I wish we caught that! Maybe next time!
I live in Galveston
I stayed on the floor that the woman got killed on
No woman was killed there.
The nun and the orphans drowned where the Walmart is
The asylum was where the Walmart was, but they drowned and were buried under where the hotel was build
Yes the orphanage was under the Walmart. People get this wrong all the time.
@@jessicaadkins7139It was an orphanage, not an asylum.
I’m at the Galvez right now
Its a cool place for sure! Have fun and make sure to visit the cemetary!
How was it?
Please learn the history of the orphanage.
Yall should of went to Walmart. Way more stuff happens there than
Unfortunately we couldn't sleep at the Walmart so this was our next bet 😉
Yes the prices has changed on us. 😆
Omg I went there and there was some scary stuff going on we left the next day it was realy creepy
i just stay on the 5th floor and stayed in room 517
there's a lot that's already not true in your vid and I'm only 1:43 in you should look in to the history little better sir
Yeah we are going in 3 months I’m scared but
Zero hauntings happened
I've been there and I was on the 3rd floor but I went up to the 5th floor and I was sooooo cold
We've been on the fifth. It felt, uneven
Yea I know!!!!
It was soooo weird
The skeleton part was fake. It can make objects like that easily and it was your bag and then the camera strap making that happen
Get it right the orphanage was located at the current Walmart.
The Nun tied the children with rope
In room 501 atm
WHERE ARE YOUR MASKS?!! THIS IS DURING COVID. IT IS YOUR FAULT WE WE WERE ON LOCKDOWN. THUMBS DOWN
😂😅😆 mandate had already been lifted calm down
Oh yeah? ~ You're Not polite, you're also overtaken with HYSTERIA over this "covid " & I HIGHLY recommend you seek a Therapist!!! Thankyou.
