eBay is very poor at removing counterfeits even when the seller admits the antennas are imitation. Wish we could pay for imitations with imitation money.

Just received a fake today. Fake packaging but the print on the antenna was perfect and a spacer included. They are getting better with this.

Got one from scAmazon(typo) from an Nagoya authorized seller(BF) and it looks like it has a plastic base/lower part of the antenna. The seller says they're genuine but I'm doubting it. The plastic looking part has two verticle lines like it is molded plastic. Took a blade and was able to easily shave some off the bottom part that seats against the radio. Shavings were soft like plastic also. It's the NA771. It also makes a vibration sound when I hit it against my hand. Trying to contact Nagoya but gmail gives me a warning about no encryption(shows a red lock) and my email can be seen by others....whatever that means. Another buyer said his is metal on the bottom. Tired of returning crap to Amazon. That was the final straw, they lost me as a customer for real this time....that's genuine. They always ask do you want to make return....for what? So they can send me more sheit that's defective of not genuine.

Does a genuine newer (silver logo print) NA-771 have a silver colored qr-code printed at the base/mount of the antenna, opposite of the logo?

got two fakes through the post off ebay. on the vna there is an swr dip at around 370mhz. The pvc tips arent glued on so some work with the dremel and I'll park em on the uk 70cm band. Lucky I just neede two uhf whips for an indoor hotspot
