We sat down and had a heart to heart as she tried to help me deal with some stuff. She's genuinely an amazingly sweet person and seeing stuff like his makes me love her even more
The sad thing is, a lot of pop singers never allow any of the fans with any disability to meet them. I have seen so many country artists go out of their way to help someone like this.
Laura Hand appeared as an extra in "Burned" an eighth season episode. She can be seen in the background talking with a detective at 13 minutes 37 seconds into the episode, as Stabler, Benson, walk down the hallway towards the squad room. This was a wonderful video and no doubt the happiest day in Laura Hand's life.

Incredible opportunity. I hope Laura got a kidney transplant. So many people aren't organ donors. Make a Wish is actually the reason I became an organ donor in case anything happened to me. It's a hell of a gift to help someone survive and live another day when you've passed on. Something good to come out of something tragic. She's very lucky to have met her idol. That's something not many people can say.
That is the most beautiful thing in the world. I teared up when I heard that she looks to Mariska as inspiration after her mom's passing. I would have died if that happened to me.
The make a wish foundation is awesome. My nephew had cancer and they sent my family to Disney World (he was 6), and gave spending money for the tickets they couldn't get donated, memories we will always cherish!
I've always admired the Make-a-Wish Foundation for putting forth the effort of granting young terminal ill kids' wishes...major kudos for Mariska Hargitay and the cast of SVU to contribute, too...if I were a celeb and I learned of a young fan's wish to meet me, I'd definitely would fulfill that kid's dream, too
youre right. and i meant that she was lucky that she got to have this expierience. not that she was lucky that she has a terminal disease. Its horrible that her kidneys are failing. It is great that she got to do this. And yes, she was blessed in being able to make this her wish, and have it come true.

I like Mariska. I don't know how she is in person, but it takes a strong person to suffer the loss of both parents while still young. And she really makes Olivia just the kindest, most empathetic person.

Hi illLooveU4ever. Accodring to IMDB dot com, she, her two brothers, and her parents got in a car accident when they rearended a trailer truck. Her mother and the mother's boyfriend were killed instantly. However, her two brothers survived. THe whole thing is so sad. :(

@charmsheart0559 Yeah she was young my friend but she lived her life to the full, an was always thinking possively, she had her future planned out, of what she wanted to do! I loved her to bits, she could always make me laugh!! Yes 9 years seems along time but on the other hand it doesn't, it feels like just yesterday! Make a wish UK has been going for years I remember it going when i was a little girl!! I am so happy you are getting your make a wish this summer! Take Care
