Roblox restarted the hunt, originally called the egg hunt, and I don’t care if you enjoyed it or not, the event was scummy, trashy, and lazy. Almost every game was trash besides DOORS, TDS, and other devs that care, so what went wrong, and what can be changed for the better?

TDS and strongest were my favorites but the rest sucked
I like how roblox doesn’t even realize that teens and adults also want egg hunts
But we gotta remember that most of the roblox players are children. Roblox is really just gonna pick the most popular games to run events like these, so if the kids like them, theyre gonna be picked more often
but do they? the entire point why they stopped is BECAUSE it is shown that adults find egg hunts childish and so may teens... even so I did like them.

This video basically represents what the Hunt was for me. I spent so much time grinding the scummy games because they were "easy and braindead", that I never really got around to playing Doors or a lot of the other amazing Hunt games. This event really just made me lose some hope in Roblox, but with all the backlash they've gotten, hopefully it gets through their thick skulls that the community of teenagers who are the BIGGEST MONEY MAKERS for them, disliked the event.
From what I know, they're actually taking feedback. So, hopefully the next one is better.

I just gave up on the hunt.
The moment I saw it I realized something. Roblox no longer cared about the egg hunt that I loved for so long and it genuinely hurt to see.
I never did the hunt cause I knew it would be Roblox's worst event in history and not worth doing.
fun fact roblox actually tried to get jailbreak on the hunt but asimo denied due to the fact that he was on break and thats probably why barry's prison run is on the hunt.

Too real to be real. I am so sad but really thankfull for all devs. I collected nearly 20 badges and left, cuz challanges are trash...Anyway, thanks for awsome vid!
As soon as I realized the pain to get one badge from those games, like being in the game for 20 minutes or something grindy which was not worth the 1 Hour of pain, I realized that doors or TDS had the quality and new type of gameplay that actually had effort which roblox itself would not put in the hunt, more sort of a cash grab as going limbless or headless was always a trend and putting up something that had both was insane for people as headless and korblox would cost around $500 but deathwalker was 290$. The game that pays other games to make stuff and was the main boss did worse than TDS and Doors. Roblox is bad at selecting most of the games. Roblox is a L. The community of games runs Roblox but roblox does not care about the community but instead cares about itself making it fail.

really great video! although, i'm pretty sure roblox has publicly stated that they've given up on the whole metaverse idea, (though the hunt event still looks connected to that), and also i think the biggest reason why roblox removed the egg hunts was because of tencent
Roblox said that this was a test hunt. It wasn’t meant to be that good. They’re gonna take the feedback and make a better one. Maybe The Hunt second edition?
I’m just glad at least Roblox has an event even though The Hunt is a disgrace towards the Egg Hunt name.
There is some hope in all this thought, roblox has confirmed thst the hunt (first edition) was meant to test the public's reactions to it, they also have asved for feedback for the next hunt and that's something that roblox hasn't done in a very long time
The one strength simulator where you pulled the eggs was more fun than 90% of the games and it was the most simple concept ever

As someone who started playing in 2018, I was never able to do an egg hunt. I loved to play games in the “Find The ___” genre, and the thought of an actual egg hunt in Roblox was very “eggsiting”, if you will. And my first experience with the hunt sucked. I don’t want to play skibidi toilet tower defense, I wanna play murder mystery. And I only got two ugc items at the end of the day. Hopefully they’ll add the original egg hunt back next year or something.

personally i disagree that doors had ‘a lot of effort’, and i do respect your opinion but i do disagree. it kinda just felt like a copy and paste but “oh hey! heres new textures and some lever!” oh yeah, and the enemies are just retextures

Games like evade and Roblox TDX are really fun and extremely well made and it sickens me that they don’t get the spotlight like other games do

It's going to die out due to their player base wanting more of these and that they are growing up and mostly don't want simple block game anymore and move on to more complex games like, Assassin's Creed, Deltarune, Doom Eternal, etc.

Controversial opinion but, its better than no event. Having said that the hunt was an awful cash grab. An awful cash grab is better than nothing.....

i just completely lost it when i got to 32 or something badges and i was never here in roblox for the proper egg hunt but i want to see it it looks way better then this hunt
I honestly did enjoy the hunt but after hearing how it used to be like I wwill say that it is substantially worse than the older versions. I spent days and got up to 50 badges and knowing I could have gotten 50 rewards instead of 3 is kind of sad. I loved RB battles and events like that but the hunt was a bit off

Pretty much Roblox becoming more and more corporate because of greedy suits. Didn't we learn the lesson with EA, Bethesda, Epic, Bugisoft, Rovio, Ludia, Gameloft, Facebook, Sony, Streaming Platforms, Spotify, Mojang, Valve, Pokém- ok I'm starting to see a pattern
dude the hunt was like a stress test for me when i saw the egg like i NEED IT and suffered through 95 badges in 26 hours to do it
i didnt play the hunt because i saw my friends grinding for hours a day and not sleeping right and than it hit me do i really wanna be in that state for just a crappy accessories?roblox rn its basicly dying i only play the same 3 games until i have nothing left and search for another fun game to finish but its pretty rare to find

I think the main issue is the lack of quality control, since some games were fire while others were bottom of the barrel
Are they really open though? This is roblox after all. The classic "we've been ignoring advice for many years" roblox we've known for most of roblox history at this point.
I think with this much backlash coming from majority of the Roblox community, but they’ll take some criticism into consideration

Someone with good dev skills could use the new ugc awards in-game thing to make an unofficial egg hunt that gives actual eggs like the old egg hunts.
you see, I played the hunt thing and grinded for maybe two to three days before losing interest because I wasn't getting much out of it aside from just badges.
This is my first hunt that I cared about I only cared cause it had the strongest battlegrounds and doors in it
Idk about some metahunt I want roblox to endorse holidays and retro items, and to make them get out of their rthro comfort zone
They should bring back classic events. nostalgia makes a lot of money, and that is all they care about

fr, best game I've played in the hunt, also, thx to the hunt, I actually got into steep steos and often play it now
I did most of the hunt and completed it at 95 badges and skipped the most grindy and hard games for new players. the hunt was meh and most of the games were not fun and just felt annoying to play through but I believe the infinite egg was rewarded for the most patient and dedicated people completing this event which was just insufferable. if roblox gave the developers more time I think the quality of some games would had been higher.
I had some really fun times collecting All the badges with my friends but some games didn’t feel like they put there effort into the event. If all the developers in this event actually cares about making the event fun this will be the best event on Roblox
100 badges in 7 days, it was a pretty nice event but the fact that their were no eggs is just crazy, the one egg we did get didnt even cover our head, it was a stupid hat like nobody wants this shit what they need to do next event is 1. No Gold Track 2. No necklace/staff 3. More Rewards 4. Most of those rewards being eggs

This is why I didn't waste time on the hunt, after seeing there were a 100 games, I knew that most would just be crappy garbage and instead played one or two of the fun events. I didn't enjoy the hunt, because I knew I wouldn't.

I hate when a game you love becomes just another big company that just wants your money, instead of making something everyone can enjoy and what people actually want instead of assuming what they actually want... Steam is a good example, everyone uses there platform bc they listen to there community, but so many companies like blizard (I think its a good example) Get rid of passion the second they become a huge company and its all about money ... This s why I like small developers that dont make a pay wall for everything with a trillion dlc's seperating just like 2 gigbytes of content per expensive dllc
the hunt was honestly so disappointing for me I pretty much quit roblox as a whole the fact you have to grind 40 games for like 1 item instead of 1 game for 1 item honestly felt so disappointing as a classic player myself. Not only that but 100 badges in 2 weeks was just bizarre not to mention how gold track need robux or A 36K ROBUX BUNDLE. I didn’t even reach the 2nd item in the hunt and I’m not surprised to say that the metaverse champions was a lot more fun to play. overall the hunt was mid, cheap, and nothing too be excited about. it made 2/3 of the community mad, not to mention everything else like the limited items. the limited items were really the only good things in the hunt, the sword pack and commando are fire but 36k is just bizarre. They charged the best items they knew the community would like to be the most expensive. It’s such a cash grab. don’t even get me started on the gift card egg.

Nope, they said they were disassociating with the TERM "Metaverse" because Facebook failed at making their own Metaverse, so investors are no longer interested in THAT SPECIFIC WORD.
They still VERY MUCH want a METAVERSE

I agree, i liked:
tds for adding special gamemode to the event, and for people who just wants the badge made it very easy, for people who wants egg they can play a little bit to get some starter towers and beat the easy gamemode easily, then for pro players which wants a SKIN for the tower challenging version of the event, which i liked and won after few attempts. I liked it.
Then doors, just a little thing that it was not that easy, and specially for new players, but still it's not boring and cool!
Also piggy, which for first was very hard to new players and even me, but im skilled so after some time i realised what to do and i did it solo (when everyone didn't know what to do, and some of players who died), i helped few still alive players to get the badge, and then minitoon realised that it was hard so he nerfed it, but i think it would be cool to leave the not nerfed version for piggy players and give skin for beating THIS version
i liked these games alot, but about games that i hate... i didn't played much games, but when i played obby but with bicycle... few super hard to new players stupid and boring quests, like take place 3 and WIN FIRST WORLD IN 10 MINS.... (as i remember it was 10). Bro im new player there and it was so hard, BUT WHEN I DID IT ONCE IT DIDN'T COUNT... i hated it so much. also i heard there's football games, and most of the players just DONT LIKE FOOTBALL, the main community isn't fan of football and there's not much players who are, but they did put it into event... also YOU HAD TO BE INTO GAMES FOR SOME TIME TO GET BADGE... And about sonic game, i didn't play it, but as i know you had to run around the map and pick up so much things to get badge, ok maybe it's not that hard, BUT INSTEAD OF RUNNING OVER THESE THINGS TO GET YOU HAD TO PRESS THE BUTTON ABOVE THEM... Crap like in sonic games you just have to run over items to pick them up, BUT IN THIS GAME YOU HAD TO WASTE FEW SECONDS TO SLOW DOWN, LOOSING SPEED AND PICKING UP DAMN THINGS
as someone that did the 95 badges and get the infinite egg, i gona say that this event could be better, if the games had gotten more time, more games and quality games and DON'T SELLING RETE XTURES that could be very good free prizes, i played this with the combination of ugc eggs, so at least if was a egg hunt, a unofficial egg hunt but a egg hunt at the end, getting the infinite egg was a torture adn i hope more enjoyability on the next "the hunt´s" if there woun't cancel like other events (egg hunts and metaverse champions), at least roblox seems to see the feedback, i hope better for roblox events

@@Whateverfloatsurboat2 I meant that as in at least Roblox did a non-sponsored event. Plus, calling the sponsored "events" events is probably one of the most outlandish things I've ever heard. Those were barely events, they were literally just games. Hell, I'm pretty sure they're still playable today.

Roblox gave people what they want events. And you are helping by telling Roblox your thoughts on the event. They wanted feedback and this is just the first edition the second edition will probably be better.

I feel like everyone complaining about the hunt just doesnt understand the point of the hunt. It was to build a basis and see what the community wanted. They took a wide range of different concepts they could put in the hunt and see what things the players did like and didnt like

They don't even try anymore, they just do anything they can to promote P2W games and then leave the moderation to a couple of ai, this website is disgusting and I am clinging to any scrap of a good game. And if you want recommendations, play Arcane Odyssey, It's an amazing game with so much work put into it. It's one of the last good games you'll see.
