PLEASE READ if you intend to power-level using this method: As of the release of the Chapter 4 update (4/2/24) of the Age of War, all harvesting-power-leveling methods have been nerfed on official PvP servers because harvest rates have been brought down from x4 to x2. I ran some test and you should still be able to powerlevel using this method, it just won't be as fast. In your first run of this route, you should be able to get up to level 39. That's still a decent amount of levels to get just from simply farming mushrooms. Also, if your sickle breaks halfway through the route, pick up some of the steel bars that you find in the chests at Shaleback Hollow. Once you're level 30 you can learn the steel sickle so you can repair it. Aside from steel bars, you'll also need some shaped wood to repair it, which you can easily get from crafting a carpenter's bench. This has been my go to start for a while: i do mushrooms on the way to the swamp, then do purple/black lotus there while getting obelisks and buy alchemy / dancer thrall + hot food from flotsam, then go through passage to north and get those obelisks + some lotus on the way to mounds of the dead, mushrooms and lotus at mounds are also decent XP. It takes a long time but you get most obelisks and plenty of lotuses for crafting later. Just make sure you keep putting down bedrolls in case you die.
The long shaleback-filled island in the middle of the river also has a mushroom patch, not far from the giant tree, just southeast of it. Within sight of the two exiles who fight a crocodile on the far eastern side, but not close enough that any of them will attack you.
You have a way different pvp experience than me. I focus on making noob river backup base, move on to iron spot, make iron spot base, and farm iron. My favorite setup to run around in is medium armor and an iron weapon (I switch it up regularly). The funniest thing to me is how often I recover my gear cause they don't want it.

I was unaware of the mushroom XP. Good to know. The long island with all the shalebacks on it, just East of the Sentinals, has a large patch on the Eastern side of the island. Added bonus if you run up and grab the sickle first aloe leaves are much easier to gather as well.

@@Zelosykes yeah I am and I’ve noticed that. We had problems with other hackers farther back, I think my bases still stand because I never leave my character in base. Pop fell then but it seems like it bounces back fairly well.
Best way to lvl is go to jungle farm black lotus then go to that cave at north jungle and it will tp u to key hole then u go up to black ice from there u should hit like 28-30 just from lotus
I was wondering if there was some kind of teleportation in early game from the jungle to the west side of the map. Definitely gotta check out that cave, first time hearing about it!

Good video but one thing I think would be important to new players using this leveling method. You didn't mention the corruption gained at shellback cavern and how to cure it. Sepermeru is the simplest way imo
Gotta be in and out asap. Once you’re done power leveling, definitely gotta go to the tavern at Sepermeru. That’s my go to spot as well. Hopefully any new players that don’t know read your comment~
i used to do black ice, then i switched over to lotus flowers and will now try puffballs, however i will not be suprised of funcom sleuths in an xp nerf for farming flowers in the next patch >.>. They enjoy taking the things i love R.I.P og spear =(
Hi Zelo. First time viewer. I was wondering, is there some place where the Conan PvP community hangs out? I run a custom Conan Exiles server built for PvP with some novel area control mechanics but I don't know where to get the best reach to advertise it. Until I saw some of your fighting, I wasn't sure if PvP was still a thing on this game.
Honestly I’m not sure about that. I only play solo so I’m not really part of any PvP group aside from my TH-cam channel. I have seen that people can advertise their servers on the Funcom Conan forums.
Server transfers have been disabled for a while now. Lmao I actually power leveled 3 times for this series. New character every time. Cheaters kept killing the servers.
Question: In case you get a steel pickle at the cave as well: Is it worth to farm the brimstone underwater in the Dschungel (with mask) ? Or just walk the Route again? What is more efficient?
The underwater brimstone in the jungle can no longer be farmed using a pick as of Chapter 4. Sadly you can only pick it up by hand now. Not worth the time.
So do you gain more xp when you gather more of the resource like is it better to use better tools because they will give more resources instead of picking them up?
Yes, the more you pick up, the more experience you get. So a Star Metal sickle will level you up faster than an iron sickle. Also, as I mentioned, get the Efficient Harvest perk at leve 10. This perk gives you twice as many resources on the final hit, so more xp.
How is the pop on servers played it a while back on console but pop was low. Got a Pc now but to scared to get conan bec of the pop that was on console was a dead game on console.
Population is not the greatest right now. Officials are infested with cheaters who are killing off the remaining PvP population. PvE would be a better choice if you want to experience the game in peace.
Im sry i doubt that unless u playing single player with admin mode active from beginning of the desert to the golem guy takes 10 mins tops then u have to find the closest spawn location of the area i chose the galleon but then u have to kil that creature lucky enough to get 5 blood crystal fairly enought for a arm thats 3 mins it took u longer than 30 mins lol stop playing.
I hope they dont nerf the xp on mushrooms... after ch4 the server i'm on is being wiped so I am forced into a restart... hope to get L60 fasr to get going
When I checked on the beta test, the xp was still good! Hoping nothing changes on April 2nd. Also, with the steel sickle, you can get up to level 60 in two farm runs, super quick. Good luck on the new server!
I have thought about it, but the two things stopping me from playing private servers are 1) it’s too restrictive. they have so many rules regarding what you can/can’t do 2) admin abusing their power.
Before I joined private my concern was abusing admins and that there are wipes every 2months or so. But I found a server where admins are legit so far, everything is pvp focused. Best thing is that you don't have to worry about hackers and glitchers and for me that makes it up. Sure there are rules and I guess privates don't have that story telling as you would have when starting on official.
Sky bases on PC have always been a problem, but one of the hot fixes for Chapter 3 was suppose to help prevent them. I haven’t heard much about fly bases on PC recently, so maybe it worked, but you never know, cheaters always find a way.
The state of Conan is at its worst it’s been, a lot more hackers with new hack, will come and full loot locked vaults and chest without having to do anything but type in that certain chests code and input into cheat and it will pull all the loot from your locked chests and into their chest
It’s the worst I have ever seen. This series took so long to film because of cheaters constantly killing every server. I have been trying to find a new game to play because Conan PvP is an absolute tragedy to play. Good luck man. I hope a new PvP game comes out soon cause as much as I love Conan, I don’t have much hope for it due to all the super cheats going around.

Everytime I watch your videos, I get that feeling of going back to Conan. Its just so boring PvE, even with mods. PvP aspect of any game does not intrigue me what so ever due to the rampant hackers in every game.
Conan is simple step 1 avoid offical servers. Its all spamed u cant build anywhere. Ur dead first day. Unless ur playing a dead ass server. Or a pve bob

I’m not sure about that. I even thought about playing on console too just to avoid all the cheating going on on PC. I think the cheating might be less bad on it though, but I have seen videos of speed hackers/lag switching on console. Who knows… if any console players can enlighten us please.

With the sickle it should only take around 2 trips, super quick.

Silvermine got free starmetal tools and advanced tool upgrade kits so level 60 is instant. Never knew shrooms giving that much exp

When I checked on the Chapter 4 beta, it seemed like mushrooms/lotus xp rates remained the same. Hopefully they don't change em.
You can do golem heads you can get to lvl 60 super fast
Awesome, no more making ziplines to the mounds for star metal tools. That sickle in the cave is gonna be a huge time save.

A nice safe fast leveling would be to farm crystals...and you can In Hannumans tomb right in the beginning
It was a safe way, but as of April 2nd, you will no longer be able to farm crystals using tools. You’ll need to use the Mass Cull spell to farm them.

Haven’t tried that method yet. Sounds really good if you already have established clan mates who have all mats and golem crafting bench.

fastest way to lvl to 60 is making stone golem chests then upgrading them to tar or brimstone takes me 30 mins to get mats then 3 mins to lvl 60 :)

The fastest way is actually harvesting plants rare plants in terms which is to hilarious.
Conan the Mushroom Farmer was some of Howard’s best work.

@4ster468 we don't have raids but when people quit the servers usually everyone stalks the decay time then all fight for the base when it decays
