I love Bob Seger and this is my favorite song of his. That piano, that voice, as soon as he sings the first line it makes me feel something every time. Get on a highway for a road trip and hit play on this song. It's a must. Edit: I can suggest so many of his songs, but I would love for you guys to hear Sunspot Baby.
Bob is great in concert. He's one of the few guys that sounds just as good live as he does on record. I've seen him do it many times. He's one of a kind. Nothing is worse than going to a show and seeing the singer just gets his sound from studio tricks. Bob's sound is just in his soul.
He's a hell of an artist. He paints beautiful visuals with his words and music. This is a great song of hope. Thanks for sharing it with the world. It will bring great joy to many
You nailed it. His voice does pull you in. I grew up in the Detroit area and Bob Seger has been a part of my life from the very beginning of his career. Amazing artist who puts so much of his soul into his music. I would recommend listening to the ‘Live’ Bullet album by Bob Seger. One of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll albums of all time. In my lifetime I’ve seen them in concert at least 10 times. From anywhere in a bar with 300 people in his early years to the Pontiac Silverdome with 70,000 plus on hand.
@@RM-ks8pp I Agree... Shame On the Moon is one of my two favorites - along with "Main Street" - from Bob Seger , but SOTM was written (and originally sung) by Rodney Crowell.
I’m 67 and love all kinds of music. Bob Seger is the greatest musical storyteller of my lifetime. I loved watching you beautiful souls reacting to this uplifting song. ‘My heart was singin’! ❤️✌🏻
Bob Seger - Michigan born and bred...along with so many other truly talented musical artists. He was born in Detroit. I was fortunate to have been raised in Michigan (though born in Kentucky). Man, my younger years were filled with fantastic music, and great places to go see all the artists perform live. And, back then, you didn't have to mortgage your house to go to a concert...:)
The master story teller strikes again! The Silver Bullet Band is all aces too. Heres one that i havent seen anyone react to. Its another one of those massive piano songs that is pure fire, and really captures what loneliness can be. Title is The Fire Inside
Saw him a couple of years ago-he's in his mid-70s and still puts on a hell of a show! No pyrotechnics or fancy effects just him and his band. He is perfection
This is always been one of my favorite Bob Seger songs I had the opportunity to see him in the mid-80s give me it stood out as one of the best concerts I ever seen
I'm in my 60's and I love Bob Seger,I can still remember when I was in my early 20's,I used to say, I'd cut my pinky off if I could just meet him, lol, I wouldn't but God how could you not fall in love with that voice, Thanks for your reaction and the memories, hope ya'll have a blessed day 🙏
He is retired. He had his final tour in 2019. In June of 2019 he had 6 sold out shows here in his home state of Michigan at Clarkson DTE. He resides here still sometimes you might see him around it's always a treat he won't turn away from a microphone or a piano .
Great song and reaction. Rolled down many highways on my Harley feeling the wind in my face. Good therapy for clearing the mind and feeling at peace...
Love love watching you guys react to Bob. Anytime we were in the car bunch of my buddies we all shut down and blasted his songs. It was like a mental time to get right. This song came out when I was in high school. Still a joy to hear.
Bob Seger retired from touring a few years ago. He came to the nearest big city near where I live and I didn't even know he was going to be performing there on his farewell tour until that very night. I would love to have seen him.
........"and as the sunset faded, I spoke to the faintest first starlight"........... Awesome! Then there's my favorite lyric of all time .... "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then". Also Awesome!
I named daughter after Bob Seger . I love his music to my core and there so much of it that is so great. His voice on Fine Memory gives me chills and his songs momma and jody girl are just amazing . There is just so much of him
I've seen Bob on the streets around Detroit twice this month. Now you're covering him. It must be a sign. The man is a really cool guy. He's a legend here, but still sweet and humble.
Asia’s face, as the Bob Seger song develops is priceless. Not only does she have the face of an Angel it is a joy to see her reactions. All the best to you both.
Bob Seger is the ultimate story teller. Had the privilege to see him a few times during the 70s and 80s and to this day they were the best concerts I ever watched.
This is my favorite Bob Seger song. It brings back so many memories of my family vacations in the smokie mountains. My dad use to put the top down on the convertible and drive through the mountains blasting all his music. Makes me tear up thinking about it as he has passed on. Thanks for reacting to this one in particular.
You have to see the video to this it makes it so much better with him singing the Expressions and passion to the song. He puts his heart and soul Intuit that's why you have to watch the video
Bob Seger is a great storyteller. His songs put you right there in that moment . His songs for me take me back to my youth . A true legend. Rock on and God bless.
Treat yourself to the official video from Seger. You can see what it was like riding from home in Michigan. The hawk taking flight and soaring with Bobs soul is breathtaking.
IT is your loyal friend Ray King and I have seen BOB twice live in concert the first time was back in 1980 and he was awesome just as good vocals as the studio version. And from what I understand BOB has retired at age 74 and is no longer Turing. I was hoping to see him again but we all must retire some time. I have seen the Eagles 3 times The members were real close friends of Bob's but Glenn passed away and now Vince Gill is filling In. I Am 60 years old and we can not go on Forever but The Music Can!!!!!!
His music is so magical I've been around a long time and heard a lot of his music I never heard this song before. I absolutely love it though one of my favorites among other ones. I really believe he is one of the best.
Back in 1978, I was working in an office in Ann Arbor, MI (Bob's home town). There was a secretary named Sandy who was flat out crazy about Bob Seger. "Bob Seger is MY singer" she used to say. I had never heard of the guy, but she was so enthusiastic I had to check him out. Man, was she ever right! Sandy, I don't know where you are today, but I still owe you one for that.
Love watching the reaction over and over! He's so very good and I think you both see that! Unfortunately Bob is done touring as of about two years ago. It's a shame as he sooooo very good Live! If he ever decides to come and do a solo tour you need to see him!
When you rock out to this on a long stretch of highway, the drums perfectly match the white lines rolling past, you can't unsee it after that, wherever you are listening to it. You can literally outrun whatever was bothering you! Saw his last tour for his "Ride out" album in Vegas. Never seen so many bikers eligible for social security in one place! Awesome party 🎉
I don’t know how I missed this. My heart dedicated this song to my father-in-law was the first song I heard the day that he died and it is his spirit as an outlaw biker. I love it but I cry every time.
Bob seger. Has an big catalog of not just songs but hit's. Can't go wrong with BOB . seen him over a dozen times but mostly I the mid 70's to the Early 80S . I was living in the Atlanta, Ga . In the 80s and I always went to see BOB when ever he came around. In 1983He played the Omni in Atlanta Where Atlanta Hawks played at that time. BOB sold the Omni out 4 nights in a row. Back in seventies we always played Night Moves at the pool hall. He is a Class Act . I'm not going to list songs because there are to many . His Sax player Alto Reed back in the seventies especially on. Turn The Page. I could go on and on about BOB but I would have to write a book.So for now kick back and listen to some BOB SEGER and enjoy the music. For now Peace ☮️ Out

yes, you MUST listen to Kathmandu! I saw Bob here in NJ on his final farewell tour. I’m so sorry because I want to go back to that concert and watch all over again AND take you 2 with me!!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! What have I been telling you! I think you understand now as he’s one of the very best about painting a picture. I’ve been asking for this for a long time so thank you. I don’t request a whole lot but when I do I know that you’ll love it. The “great divide” he’s talking about is the continental divide in Colorado at Loveland Pass which is the continental divide in Colorado that separates water flowing into the Atlantic and Pacific ocean basins. It’s stands at 11,991’. At that point in the song it’s like he could go east or west it was up to him. Again a great song and thanks for finally getting to it. Another little played Seger song that has the same feel is “Even now” from the same Album I believe. You’d both love that one. See you next time, thank you! 🎸👍🏽❤️
Bob has so many amazing songs. This is easily in my top along with Against the Wind and Famous Final Scene to just name a couple of other songs of his I love.
This song always makes the road call to me. A long time ago (early 80s) I had just finished my exams in my last year of my degree. I was tieing up loose ends, and getting ready to go to grad school. I was somewhat worn out and disillusioned (probably "burnt out" by today's standards) and questioning what I was doing in life. One day, I came out of the physics building (I was a physicist in those days) at lunch time, it sunny, and warm, and I made a sudden decision - I got on my motorcycle, went home, packed a backpack and hit the highway. I basically stopped 4000 miles later (I drove from the east coast of Canada to Vancouver Island on the west coast). Believe me, I can relate to every word in this song (except maybe the girl in the bar lol - I WAS a nerdy physicist after all)
Saw Bob Seger a few years back. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Sang all the hits. Put his heart into it. Sounded great. He's one of the greatest musical storytellers of all-time. Can we agree that this is one of the few greatest singer songwriters ever?
Yes we can always loved bob
Totally agree!
Hands down
Most Definitely!
Absolutely
It was once said that Bob has the perfect Rock & Roll voice……..he also is a damn good songwriter!
genius songwriter
The only kind of song Bob can't write is a bad one.
You can’t ever go wrong with Seger! Love his voice & stories in song….
Asia & BJ, you'll love his "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!! BANGERS!!

Try to do the live version of Sunspot Baby. th-cam.com/video/0cEVtKMBY18/w-d-xo.html
Bob Seger's greatest hits is the best road trip music!
I always thought this was one of Seger's greatest songs. Thanks for bringing it back.

His lyrics are simple but paint a picture. A great story teller. (Turn the Page, night Moves, Hollywood Nights, etc)
Just put on 'Live Bullet' and turn it up. :)
"Shame On the Moon", "The Real Love", "Fire Lake", and "You'll Accompany Me", are awesome by Bob Seger. 😀❤
Shame on the moon is a great one ,takes me back
Shame On The Moon is another great track by Seger. It would be great to see these two beautiful people react to this one...

You've just hit the tip of the iceberg with this artist.....keep going and going and going. Bob's got so much depth on the bench in his talent.
Most truthful statement I've seen online :)
Yep, the deep dive into his work is well worth it.
What a great song. Masterful storytelling and powerful. What about that band. So good it hurts.

I've always said that this is one of Bob`s all time best songs...Outstanding vocals and music.
This is my favorite Seger song. He is such a great story teller. I had the privilege of seeing him twice in concert. Both awesome shows.
I could listen to his music all day and all night. Great story teller with music to sing with
Went to his concert a few years back, with Joe Walsh opening for him. Both of them sound exactly like they did 40 years ago. Fantastic show ❤️

I was waiting for someone to mention The Fire Inside. Might be my favorite after Roll Me Away. Maybe it's the piano in both?
So glad you did this song! It's one of his underrated ones. Great road tune.

Bob Seger has a bunch of great songs. Roll Me away was inspirited by a motorcycle trip he took to Jackson Hole Wyoming

Just an incredible musician and song writer.
Believe me, I can relate to every word in this song (except maybe the girl in the bar lol - I WAS a nerdy physicist after all)
You lived the song, well done.
Bob Seger is the man. Every song of his evokes a different emotion, He is truly a musical genius.
My song of choice when I left home at 16 and worked my way from New England to Cali where I found my hippie heaven.
Love me some Seger. My first concert.

So captivating. So inspiring. And I'm a millennial btw lol. I don't remember all of the songs of his you've reacted to, but the classics you have to check out are:
Night Moves - About getting your freak on as a teen lol
We've Got Tonight - The most romantic song ever about a one-night stand
Main Street - The most romantic song ever about falling in love with a stripper
Old Time Rock and Roll - About his love for the oldies
Like A Rock - About the feeling of invincibility you have when you're young
Against the Wind - About fighting life's struggles
Thanks for a great reaction to a great song. Love Bob Seger! 💖😎
