Oh gosh, Sarah, this put a huge lump in my throat! Before I broke my hand, I used to love grabbing one of my guitars and joining in to recordings like this. Bob Seeger was especially "organic", no real electronics needed to blend right in. Even when I was between girlfriends, I never felt alone as long as I could jam out with the greats. I love him so much. I got that from my mom. Literally the last fun thing my mom had before she died was us taking her to see him live. We didn't think that she would die in a few months (she was 61). We are born & raised Detroit but as an adult, I grew to appreciate his lyrics. In this particular song, I appreciated it once I actually traversed the continental divide. There are some things that you can't appreciate until you see it. I have tender feelings for Like a Rock & Turn the Page for different reasons. I also love his growly voice.

This song was used as the end music for the movie 'Mask' (1985 starring Cher/Sam Elliot/Eric Stoltz - not to be confused with _The_ Mask starring Jim Carrey). It's a beautiful movie which I'd highly recommend watching if you havn't seen it. You'll understand at the end why the song is at the end -'nuff said.

You gotta see the movie with Adrian Quinn n Darrell Hanner, (not sure if ive got the spelling correct) She was from a respectable ruch family n he was a troubled boy from the other side of the tracks, her family n friends tried to keep her away from him n in the end, he drove his bike into the school n she ran to him, jumped on the back of the bike n they drove away together with this sing playing. I think the movie was called Reckless. ❤❤❤ If u search it be sure to put in 1984 because there's several movies with the same name.
