- We found this amazing park up in North Yorkshire , I cannot believe this stunning spot is free!
In fact, the whole of North Yorkshire is stunning and waking up in beautiful Saltburn by the sea was such a pleasure.
After a short walk along the promenade we jumped in the van and left our overnight park up and headed out for a lovely drive to the small fishing town called Staithes, and guess what, that is also stunning! We had a short walk around before finding an ice cream for us both. Staithes really is beautiful, lots of little houses and winding back alleys, we fell in love with the place. After a great ice cream and walk we made our way back to the van to find our park up for the evening in a town called Sandsend. This whole place seemed popular with vanlifers, there was so many vans and the place was immaculately clean. We met some new friends and had a nice walk on the beach before getting an early night!

"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika TH-cam Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. TH-cam seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

Staithes is a beautiful place, Robin Hoods bay is too, not far away.
We need to visit it there one day, I'll try when it's more quieter I think...
Gary keep up the good work proud of you both, with today's technology it's nice to see that you are not letting amika crack on with playing on the internet like most kids now days & exploring nature & she actually seems to enjoy it!! Great v-log as usual have a great time 👍👍
Mark she loves her tablet but is able to use that and explore life with a balance. Thankful she's not sitting on a PlayStation for hours on end!!!

what a glorious video. I dont know how you do it Gary, but your videos have a vibe and quality I cant put into words. I literally feel I dont want the video to end and just want another one to follow it. You just put a joy in the presentation thats beyond words. Theres a bond between you both that just shines. Yeah some stunning places about, I think we just need to go and explore, its amazing what you find without using a map
Thanks to watching this video we went to Staithes on Saturday, have nt been for decades and its only a 40 minute drive away, loved it, it will defo be going back 🙂 Love the relationship that you two have, she is a brilliant daughter ( on camera anyway 🙂 ) and you are a fantastic dad, makes brilliant viewing. BTW did you really do all that in an hour lol we parked there for 4 hours and it was not long enough, still more for next time we go 🙂

Haha, I'm trying to make them about 30 mins each but I seem to run out of footage around the 18 min mark each video. This was a longer one though

Excellent video again Gary. We have stayed at The Captain Cook in in Staithes next to the carpark at the top of the hill. Lovely place. If you went over the bridge at the bottom of the hill it takes you to the other side of the harbour and at certain times of the year loads of seagulls nest on the big cliff on the left. We stay normally at Runswick bay when we go over there at the Cliffemount Hotel and use it as a base to explore that coast. Enjoy the rest of your journey you two and enjoy many more nice places and ice creams!

@@TravelwithGaryandAmika I currently live near Thirsk and it's a lovely area which is overlooked by Sutton Bank. There's lots of nice places in the area within 45mins (e.g Yorkshire Dale's & Moors)
We got rid of the caravan over 18 months ago and bought a Motorhome. Aiming to be in the Peak District and Cambridgeshire next week.

Love Saltburn on Sea. Went a couple of years ago and spent the afternoon doing old fashioned stuff like hiring a deckchair on the beach for about £1.60.
Really relaxing. Walk on pier and the park at the far end. Just the tram was not running.
