The Mull of Galloway is my most favourite place in the whole of Scotland. Beautiful scenery, friendly people and some of the best fishing in the UK. Luce Bay is a nursery area and closed to netting of any kind. The range of fish is amazing from gurnards up to some truly big sharks. It's one of the very few places I've caught spudog, a small, primative shark member with spines on its dorsal fins, a form which goes back millions of years. The water is usually clear which enables you to explore the rocky coves and watch fish going about their lives. Well worth a visit and exploring!

Hey, I'm just going to run my super efficient 12v domestic 35L compressor fridge justing the flag lighter plug and the odd 240 appliance, maximum 1000 watts for short periods. Does it have a lead for charging it in the van's 12v lighter socket when driving?

Most tourists go in the summer...not realizing Scottish highlands is more stunnung in the off seasons....I lived in Aviemore and the real tourists come in the winter...cheaper...quieter..and way more beautiful...nature at its finest...get a 4 wheel drive van in ther off season and it will be like Scotland belongs to you...And who was the bright spark who decided to tell the whole world about the NC500 without firt putting enough amenities to accomodate everyone like extra official campsites which could be made to be mandatory...just sayin

Fucking piss myself laughing. 😂 I'm a local. There's nothing risky at all about stopping overnight in a van in that area. Talk about over stating the risk. 😂 And as for "camping", you're in a locked metal box you daft twat. 😂

The Estate is now relatively speaking a better area now. Lots of homes have been knocked down now. I would say the Parson Cross Estate is worse now. Even that has improved. The Estate in the 70-90s was rough. Very rough. Lots of crime. Lots.of deprivation. But there was a good community on the Manor. Many people lived there all their lives. Helped each other out and in some ways this felt pleasant to live there. I like the Manor people. Straight, working class salt if the earth types.

Nothing wrong with Manor lived on Farleigh from 2 years old only left when I got married. But my mum and Dad lived there till they died

I lived on the Manor from 1970-2005 and my mum lived there till 2016. The reason there's so much new housing is that in the 80's, much of the estate was found to have been built using defective mortar, so big swathes of houses were demolished. I remember a rolling wave of demolition going through The Manor from about 1984 and a wave of rebuilding ending in about 1990.

I’m Scottish and have toured Scotland for years. I travel by motorbike. I find the problem is mostly due to inexperienced camper van drivers who just don’t care. They hog the road, park dangerously and leave waste everywhere they go.

Im still trying to understand all the turning on...turning off..plugging..unplugging ..etc. can these units not be setup to be left alone and charge and use as necessary? People that live in vans and have their electrical systems hidden nicely, do they constantly plug, unplug, swap plugs, and all this other stuff instead of just wire a system up and use it? Why bury batteries , wires , and power systems if all this musical chairs is necessary? Or is it necessary?
