I will forever maintain that the first Saw movie is so damn good. Sure, the acting is less than stellar and the pacing is all over place, but the twist at the end is incredible and it was such a breakthrough in the horror genre.
Jigsaw killing someone for cutting himself is the equivalent of parents who get mad at their kids for being depressed. EDIT: I usually don’t do this but can you please not comment “just like my parents” or anything along those lines. You’re not being funny, nor original and nobody cares.
Ruby Jacobs wow you must be new, hope you enjoy his channel😀 I’ve been here since the beginning and I have loved his channel since the beginning Anyways, good watching!
its really useful for people like me who doesn't really like horror movies to know the basics when in a middle of discussion or to know references in other media (like in dead by daylight that i really like to play)
I totally recommend actually watching it, im scared of everything and im only really scared of the pig parts. especially adams. adams not suppose to be a comic relief but he’s so relatable and funny it makes the movie much easier to enjoy
“What was Adam supposed to not let the key go down the drain” I think in the script for....Saw 3 or 4, it was revealed that the key was supposed to be tied to the chain and plug of the bathtub but Amanda, angry with John, just threw it on Adams body. Adams trap literally would have consisted of him unlocking his shackle and leaving before Gordon had the chance to kill him. It was basically a race. The line where John told her to tie the key was cut though unfortunately
@Tristan Easterly rust is caused by contact with air, meaning only the surface is rusted. the vast majority of the steel chain is still solid steel, and can withstand a hollow point shot.
the thing that fucked me up the most is that John left Adam to die and Adam’s death was caused by a mistake on their end but in the series John saves someone from dying because he believes their victims shouldn’t die from mistakes made by John and his apprentices
This has always been and probably always will be my favroute franchise, none of the character are paper thin, they all have different backstories which perfectly matched them and the way they react to situations, jigsaw's personality is very interesting, and sometimes the franchise even touches on the subject of real life conditions, like God complex and megalomania (which is a really satisfying word to say by the way)
He is both crafty and smart, but so twisted cause of his life I'd feel bad for him if he didn't put people through hell time and time again to 'prove a point'
Well they could have saved themselves if they would saw through their foot, they would probably bleed out but then they where already out of the trap so it ain’t jigsaws fault. Just like when you shoot someone you don’t kill the gun does.
@@beccaloves6889 I know I was joking, he is a murder for sure. That’s why I added that little part about guns 😂 but yeah he says ‘you should have won all along I put your key in the bathtub’. He should have just used his brain and think of the little detail we call gravity and that the key would go down the drain.
Fun fact: Due to his screams at the end of the movie, the directors had to leave the set to cry and the actor that played Jigsaw came back to try and calm him down.
Dude that's so unfair. Amanda didn't even have to hurt herself to get out of the trap. So many other people had to blind themselves, cut themselves, burn themselves, etc.
Maybe for her it was supposed to be more psychological than physical, in later movies she has shown even small regrets about making the traps she made unwinnable, along with her probably on drugs previously her mental state was weakened

saying his name is very f***ing confusing reminds me of that spongebob episode Good Old What's His Name where mr. krabs sets up a contest for spongebob and squidward to who ever knows all the krusty krab customers names gets a brochure for a tropical vacation and squidward tried to get a random guys name and when he asked him for his name he said what's it to ya so squidward follows him around and even steals his wallet to figure out what his name is but when the random guy and the police officer grab onto the same wallet squidward stole they play tug of war with the wallet until it rips and all the stuff in the wallet falls out and it's where squidward finds his drivers license and discovers that his name was actually what's it to ya
Person: Dealing with serious mental issues in their life, and/or some complex drama best sorted out by talking. Jigsaw: I know what'll fix this, LIFELONG TRAUMA AND SCARS!
When this movie came out, my grandpa sent it to my mom telling her how she'd never guess who the killer was (they loved horror movies). She was flabbergasted at the ending. She continues the horror movie thing with me and my siblings
That’s normal. Most of horrors movies doesn’t explain themselves because adults are supposed to watch them. And normally adults understand more than kids or teens. That’s why they don’t have a narrator.
Let me sleep in peace not insultin you, but honestly, i think its because we watched these classics as kids. I was only 5-6 when i watched saw. Now im 21 and get it perfectly. Go back and watch yhem as an adult and you’ll understand, or just watch our boy James here! = D
Saw is such a smart, character-developed series. The reason I love the sequels such as Saw 2, Saw 3, Saw 4, and Saw 6 is because they’re so CHARACTER-driven. I love it :) and the Saw series is even less gory than other movies series I know.
I disagree. Everything after Saw 3 was more gore driven than character driven. Did you SEE the rack from Saw 4 or the Acid Needle trap from Saw 6?! The gore for the traps after Saw 3 was BLATANTLY gratuitous
@@jameslough6329 You’re incorrectly stating Saw films and overblowing proportions for others. 1) Saw 4 did not have the Rack trap at all. Saw 3 did. 2) You are taking the final trap from Saw 6, one of only two gory traps in the film, and basing your whole opinion on a 3-minute scene while ignoring the rest of the 90% story buildups, plots, and new characters. In fact, Saw 6 is considered one of the least gory Saw films overall in the film. 5/7 traps were very tame and low violence in comparison to other typical Saw traps.
Okay so let me get this straight Jigsaw's victims include a man that probably had some kind of depression/anxiety (see how he cut himself), a drug addict, and a freelance photographer who was just doing his job? That is the biggest load of BS I think I have ever heard!
Dragonchu oh yeah poor hank And in the same movie he put an elderly lady with diabetes and a younger dude who’s healthier in the insurance dudes hands to prove some point about the will to live just cuz file clerk young dude was lonely
It was later stated that the guy who cut himself was doing it pretty much for the attention, not because he really wanted to kill himself or anything like that. Anyway, I am not trying to defend jigsaw as many of his victim choices were questionable and that's the point of his character. He's got a sensible motivation for his wrongdoings, however he is twisted and approaches it in a bad way. That's what makes him interesting.
Jigsaw does test the odd truly evil person like Xavier the drug dealer from Saw II, the abusive husband from Saw IV who abused his wife and threatened his daughter into keeping quiet about it, Ivan the rapist, the people in the Saw 5 test all of whom were involved in a fire that killed 8 people and some others but the majority of people Jigsaw tests are people who either haven't done anything that bad but what they did was something John didn't like so in his twisted self righteous mind that meant they didn't value their lives, people who Jigsaw has a personal grudge against like Dr Gordon who supposedly "didn't care enough" when John was in the hospital where Gordon worked, William from Saw VI who refused him health insurance because William was a scumbag who denied terminally ill people health insurance that could have allowed them to pay for treatments or make sure their families were looked after when they died just so William could save money and Bobby Dagen from 7 who made up a story about surviving a trap and used Jigsaw's "message" to become rich and famous. Deep down Jigsaw hated that the people he tested had their lives ahead of them while his cancer was killing him.
A Simple Artist Ver. 2 jigsaw took a pill that slow down his breathing and heart rate to an almost stop state, he explains it to the chained dude 😂 you guys forgot that info
I just don't understand why the dude covered in the flammable jelly didn't just wipe the hand he used to hold the candle with in his hair or just use some glass shards to gently scrape some of it off his main hand, so in case the candle did burn close enough to ignite him, it wouldn't actually work.
You do have a real good point but I guess in that guys case it's a rush of survival and you would just focus on your chance on living so you maybe wouldnt really think alot
LillyAnn mohammed low budget products like films, games, stories etc are better than big industries cuz they actually put more effort and time in it cuz they wanna tell a story.
While it’s a great alternate solution it wouldn’t work, due to the fact that there was a 30-60 second time frame for Amanda to get the key and unlock the trap
Mark, the character who was burned alive, was found guilty by Judge Jigsaw because he was using a handicap parking spot. I it would make more sense if jigsaw gave him a choice of either cutting off his legs or dying instead of being lite up in flames
3:44 *Honestly, with Gordon being a doctor, shouldn’t he have noticed the gun is polished clean and the wound is on the other side of the head?* Edit: In retrospect, I can see why he might not have noticed that. Their situation was incredibly terrifying and I would have certainly had a panic attack if I was their position.
No. That’s such a specific detail. Probably even a mistake on the movie’s behalf, otherwise it probably would have been revealed at the end by jigsaw or smth. Even if it was intended to be in the movie, you can’t expect someone to notice that just because they’re a doctor. Ffs he was in some random room with a “dead” body while his wife and daughter were going to be murdered.
Bullets fracture on impact, making exit wounds much bigger than entry wounds, especially if hollow points are used. About the gun being polished though...

In saw 3 the doctor who takes anti depressants is put into a trap
My parents then
I mean, the dude is basically Light Yagami but more tortured based than instant death

Me too
I'm so glad there's constant talking during this
Same. Im pretty scared
Good or bad?
Yea so it is not so scary
Cassie Muladore it ain’t even scary tho?
I totally recommend actually watching it, im scared of everything and im only really scared of the pig parts. especially adams. adams not suppose to be a comic relief but he’s so relatable and funny it makes the movie much easier to enjoy
“What was Adam supposed to not let the key go down the drain”
I think in the script for....Saw 3 or 4, it was revealed that the key was supposed to be tied to the chain and plug of the bathtub but Amanda, angry with John, just threw it on Adams body. Adams trap literally would have consisted of him unlocking his shackle and leaving before Gordon had the chance to kill him. It was basically a race. The line where John told her to tie the key was cut though unfortunately
@Tristan Easterly a hollow point wouldn't've shot through those steel chains.
@Tristan Easterly when you put it like that YOU RIGHT
@Tristan Easterly rust is caused by contact with air, meaning only the surface is rusted. the vast majority of the steel chain is still solid steel, and can withstand a hollow point shot.
I'm Aint what about multiple?
the thing that fucked me up the most is that John left Adam to die and Adam’s death was caused by a mistake on their end but in the series John saves someone from dying because he believes their victims shouldn’t die from mistakes made by John and his apprentices
This has always been and probably always will be my favroute franchise, none of the character are paper thin, they all have different backstories which perfectly matched them and the way they react to situations, jigsaw's personality is very interesting, and sometimes the franchise even touches on the subject of real life conditions, like God complex and megalomania (which is a really satisfying word to say by the way)
I just hate the glorified torture

I was just about to say that

Afwul enough there could be the possibility that Amanda got addicted again.
Jigsaw: I never killed anyone. They killed themselves by losing the game.
Me: *WHO PUT THEM IN THAT SITUATION, JOHN?!??!!??*
Exactly 🤣
He is both crafty and smart, but so twisted cause of his life
I'd feel bad for him if he didn't put people through hell time and time again to 'prove a point'
Well they could have saved themselves if they would saw through their foot, they would probably bleed out but then they where already out of the trap so it ain’t jigsaws fault. Just like when you shoot someone you don’t kill the gun does.
@@thibomeurkens2296 true but remember he set them up to fail
@@beccaloves6889 I know I was joking, he is a murder for sure. That’s why I added that little part about guns 😂 but yeah he says ‘you should have won all along I put your key in the bathtub’. Technically all he had to do was kill Adam, same as Amanda. He might have had to cut off his leg, but that’s not confirmed.
Maybe for her it was supposed to be more psychological than physical, in later movies she has shown even small regrets about making the traps she made unwinnable, along with her probably on drugs previously her mental state was weakened

Yep “tHoSe WhO dO nOt ApPrEcIAtE lIfE dO nOT dEsErVE lIfe” bullshit or something

Dragonchu oh yeah poor hank
And in the same movie he put an elderly lady with diabetes and a younger dude who’s healthier in the insurance dudes hands to prove some point about the will to live just cuz file clerk young dude was lonely
Imagine if they hadn't figured out how to get the recorder. How long do you think Jigsaw would lay there pretending to be dead before getting up?
He would probably try and stay in place, but Gordon and Adam would eventually notice John's breathing. After that, who knows?
A Simple Artist Ver. 2 jigsaw took a pill that slow down his breathing and heart rate to an almost stop state, he explains it to the chained dude 😂 you guys forgot that info
