Thanks. If a locomotive won’t run slowly on my layout, I have no use for it. The backdrop is by Faller. Supposed to be a German countryside but for this particular area of southern Ohio it works well. Have a great week and stay safe!
@@SpaceDad42 check out the books by Lance Mindheim. They will tell you everything you need to know to get started. Thanks again and good luck. It’s a great hobby!
The weather really has been all over the place the last few years, eh? I like whatever you did in JMRI for the combined layouts, because we are seeing new and different moves. Makes it more interesting, I think. Take care Thom.
Thom looking really good. Just got a box in the mail out of nowhere from a very long time friend. It had 2 Atlas N GP7s and 2 HO Atlas 7s fully detailed and weathered. He's getting out of the hobby do to health reasons the note inside said. My lady and I are taking out Monday morning for his place. Going to try to not selling out. Take care my friend.
I hope he can find a way to stay in the hobby, John. Maybe move to a larger scale and just do a switching layout on a shelf. He could sell his current stuff to finance it. Lots of things he could do to stay involved somehow. Have a good trip and stay safe.
It’s basically around 3 walls of a 12 by 12 room. This section is as filmed on my original Chillicothe module which was 72” by 16” until I extended it on both ends. Thanks for watching. Have a great week and stay safe!
Hi Hoyle. For the most part I use Atlas locomotives and ESU Loksound decoders. I have a Kato NW2 with a different sound decoder and a Bachmann Alco S4 with an ESU Loksound but that’s about it for what you will see on my layout. Thanks for watching and the questions. Stay safe!
Thanks for watching! I actually did a survey a few weeks ago asking if people preferred seeing my hand or editing it out. I thought most people would say to edit it out, but that wasn’t the case. If I struggle with uncoupling, I’ll take it out but otherwise leave it in. I like throwing switches and uncoupling by hand. Thanks again for the compliment. Stay safe!
This is great in its simplicity..could watch it all day...
Thanks for the nice comments. I try to keep it simple without a lot of extra production.
Have a great evening and stay safe!
I like the locomotive speed set up, nice and smooth for n scale. Also Iike that hill backdrop behind the highway.

Very relaxing way to pass a morning! Thanks for sharing!

Looks amazing.
Thanks, Ed. I appreciate it. Stay safe!

Thanks, Donald! Stay safe!
A pleasure to watch as always, thanks Thom!
Thanks, Jeff. This first part was familiar, but the rest of it is different than usual. Stay safe!
Awesome video Thom! Great to meet you today.
It was great to meet you, too. Thanks for the information. I’ll post my video tomorrow, probably lots of mistakes! Stay safe!
So real looking! I almost felt sorry for the poor person in the car waiting to cross.
Thanks for the nice comments, SpaceDad42. That’s what every model railroader wants to hear. Have a great evening and stay safe!

My pleasure. I’m new to the hobby and am looking for a good place to start. I really like the idea of a realistic switching layout.

Watching now with Coffee. Donuts on the way. Choc. Glazed!
That sounds great! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the donuts more than the video! Stay safe!

What size is your layout? Love it and southern Ohio!

Another fun video Thom, I had the coffee this time, I still need to get 3 donuts for next time. Stay well.

is that n scale or ho scale ?
It’s N scale, Scott. If you can’t tell, I take it as a compliment. Thanks. Have a great weekend and stay safe. Keep up the short line videos!
That was my son commenting from my channel but I’ll show him the reply. Thanks for the reply!
Is this a self?
Yes, it’s a shelf layout. Thanks for watching and stay safe!
