I own every volume of Berserk. Muira's passing hit me as hard as losing a family member. You've only just scratched the surface of the masterpiece that is Berserk, Johnny.
Seeing that cassette tape took me back to my 1st tape, 1989 Batman sound track and I remember the endless nights playing zombies ate my neighbors with my my friend Tommy! great video ! thanks jhon
man watching this guy for over 10 years now, its always a laid back experience and cool to learn about the belongings he receives and gets. Thanks for being you man. We love to see it!
Just bought the Xenogears book too! Thanks so much for showing it. I've had my Japanese copy of Perfect Works since around 2003 so can't wait for an English copy! X
Congrats on 13 years of New Game Stuff, Johnny! Thank you for always bringing me joy sharing what you get, and here’s to many more years to come of great new finds for you! Hope you’re having a great Sunday
Can i just say I absolutely love your content. As a old school gamer for many years myself i can fully appreciate this video. And your collection of games and nostalgia is amazing, keep up the great work 👏
Love these, Johnny. Especially since you're in my age range and still a happy gamer! These days, I've been playing Mechwarrior 5 and Like a Dragon. Can't go wrong with mechs and jrpgs
I’m looking forward to when Johnny gets more into Berserk and ultimately turns his channel into primarily content about Berserk like every TH-camr who has gone down the same path 🔪
All about ninjas... I remember my braver friends ordering illegal metal throwing stars through the mail. I personally stuck with paper throwing stars but still managed to break one of my parent's windows with them!
I remember being in late elementary school/early middle school and Shinobi was at the front of my walmart, where you walk in. I put so many quarters into that. We used to get popcorn and Icee's at the walmart eatery, and then just pump quarters into that machine. Even after beating it we still played it until they took it away and never replaced it.
Read beserk during covid, was an absolutely incredible experience. Its very dark but I feel the way people talk about it makes it seem like it's only dark. It's bleak but for me it's a manga about finding hope when all hope is lost.
I just picked up Metroid Dread. My local store had huge discount- half the pricing, so I jumped on that. As for Berserk- yeah amazing. I own vol 9 and 20. Vol 9 has very romantic moment and wholesome, so I HAD to own it as someone who loves romance stories.
On your recommendation, Johnny, I got The Guide to Japanese Role-Playing Games. It's a damned hefty tome, and I like to open it to a random spot and check out a game I may or may not have heard of.
When I ordered the Collectors edition of Huntdown, it as well came with a cassette tape with the games soundtrack!!! That whole game is just so 80's one can smell the corduroy!!! 🤣🤣
My copy of Huntdown finally came in. Also got Seven Pirates H, Super life of Pixel, Aeero, Rival Megagun and Link's Awakening. All on the Switch. Great video as usual! 👌
I hope we get some BERSERK manga reviews. It's one of the best stories ever told and the best I've experienced. Miura Kentaro's writing is excellent as is the artwork and it gets progressively better.
I was definitely needing some positivity, and good energy today. You always bring it Johnny! Thanks so much for sharing what you enjoy and bringing passion and positivity to so many people. You truly are a genuine and amazing person.
Berserk is my favorite manga/story of all time. I know everyone shouts that from the rooftops but its for good reason. I highly encourage reading the rest of it. I love the Hardback volumes, I always wanted those but they were always a little expensive. I love my paperback collection tho!
just got me Shenmue 1 & 2 for the Dreamcast and Deep Fear (forgotten survival horror game) for the Saturn, retro gaming on point! Also started reading " Console Wars Sega, Nintendo, and the Battle That Defined a Generation", must read for 80s/90s gamers
I remember growing up and talking with my friend about how console games graphics were approaching those of the arcade. "Dude have you heard of this new game coming out, the graphics look like arcade graphics!" I miss those days for sure.
Ninjas were so awesome. Me and my friends had a secret ninja club. We made our own nunchucks and paracticed moves like footsweeps and somersaults. Our favorite movie was American Ninja and on tv the series The Master. Good times!
Power stone is in my top 5 fighters of all time. beat it so completely i unlocked first person mode and beat it with every character in first person, thats insane : P
!!! Dude, after seeing this, I JUST bought the Xenogears PW book! Thank you so much for letting us know about it!!! 👍👍👍 *Update* IT'S ARRIVED AND IT IS STUNNING!
Always fun to watch the New Game Stuffs'! Me personally, I've picked up some Magazines & a copy of Playstation Move Heroes, all for my Jak & Daxter Collection! But aside from that, I also just got a Very good condition copy of Killzone Liberation for PSP!
I haven't watched your channel in a while. Man, I really missed your passion and enthusiasm for gaming. It really echoes my own, and it's beautiful. We need more of this, and less jaded cynicism in the gaming world.
oh my god that is incredible about the Perfect Works translation... I never knew they did that! I sold my japanese copy many years ago (probably over 16 years ago). I really wish they could get an official approval to sell it to anyone who wants it printed!
Those Ninja magazines, lol… that was totally a thing, and I bought into it. I remember many late nights looking over the ninja gear catalogue ads. Like my mom would allow me to buy a grappling hook…
I look forward to your show every week, eagerly awaiting my Sunday ritual :) Yesterday a new Robman ep, today this awesome vid. What a time to be alive. Take care John!
I just picked up several ps3 games on the cheap: oblivion, arham city, littlebigplanet 2, and dragon age origins. Also picked up streets of rage 4 for the switch.
Berserk (1997 series) was my very first anime series that I watched. I was like 16 at the time. I would be lying if I said I didn't tear up at the end of that. A lot of emotions. Brilliant series, manga and a huge huge lost with the passing of Kentaro Miura. I really liked the Dreamcast game, Sword of the Berserk if you haven't played that. There is a Japanese only PS2 game that always looked really cool and a PS4 "Dynasty Warrior" style game as well.
I'm so glad you like Berserk! As a fan myself, I can assure you that the very beginning of the manga is the most inconsistent in terms of quality and story, but if you enjoyed that, then the story only gets light-years better than that in the subsequent volumes. I highly recommend continuing the series.
Its so crazy, I either never get a reply (from anyone , not just the video creator) or I get these spam ones expecting me to believe that Johnny wants me "whatsapp him". It's like I wouldn't get mail if it wasn't for junk mail. smh.
My latest pickups are Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon for the DS, the Fates Limited Edition for the 3DS and a preorder of the new Three Hopes Warriors Limited Edition :)
Ninjas of the 90s I remember it well. We had Surf Ninja, 3 Ninjas, 3 Ninjas Kick Back, and the different ninja video games. Was a fun time to grow up in.
Ninja Gaiden Arcade, the game over screen specifically is something I will never forget. Mostly because something happened for the first time.... It was all about Ninjas! I remember watching a kids movie every day called '3 Ninjas'
Berserk just keeps getting better and better Johnny. You’re in for one hell of a ride. In my opinion it has the most brutal and epic betrayal in any medium.

The new game stuff episodes, are my favourites. Love your show Johnny
Just wanted to say I appreciate your videos. It seems so many other TH-camrs are just about getting clicks. Also there is so much negativity as well. But your videos are upbeat and fun! Can’t wait to see your opinion on all game revels this month.
Johnny my dude would you be able to share that link to the Xenogears physical english copy? I've owned my Japanese copy for years and the idea of actually getting it in English has me quivering at the knees! (Apologies if I've missed it but I couldn't see it anywhere!)
I pikced up a Switch game called "sakuna: of rice and ruin" on a whim the other day, and its really good fun. A 3D farm sim mixed with a side on hack n slash type deal. Check it out
Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a classic for sure. I used to watch my Grandmother play it. She’d play for hours, she loved it. She used to have me help her with certain games, such as a particular puzzle section in Lufia 2. Then I’d see her completely conquer and dominate Zombies Ate My Neighbors and beat it over and over. Was just like, dang Grandma-respect. Lol
I’d love to see a series review video once you get caught up on berserk. The HCG personality and presence discussing berserk would be quite an episode!
I've just picked up the Wonder Boy Collection for the Switch. I had pre-ordered it a few months ago and had completely forgotten about it until it arrived in the mail lol. That volume 1 of Berserk looks amazing as well!
I just found that Japanese Xenogears book at a used book store the other day. Super excited to check out the English translation! I didn't even know that it existed. I would have never heard about the book without your channel. Thank you so much.
Berserk is going to destroy your soul (in the best way possible) if you keep reading! Tragic that it was left unfinished after Kentaro Miura’s passing.
Me and my buddy hangout on weekend and we were dying to get some co-op action. We both love fallout, so we both ordered copy of Fallout 76 for PS4. Can't wait some post-apocalypse action and good company! ^_^
Love the new game stuff! However, I haven't picked up anything new because life happened this past month where I needed to replace tires on the truck and also my spare. Any spare money is currently on my truck.
Just waiting on the Wonder Boy collection to arrive on Switch. My school youth club had the original arcade cabinet back in the 80's and I pumped so much money into. Never beat it though. Then later on I had a couple of the sequels on the Master System. Can't remember beating them either. So can't wait to see how they hold up today.
Hi Johnny! Do you have the link for that Xenogears PDF you was talking about? I am going to get a copy printed here in the UK if I can through the printing company I use for my graphic design freelance work.
Johnny’s optimism is always such a balm.
Just found this channel a few months ago. Probably my favorite gaming channel now
Welcome
Yeah! I’ve been watching a couple years and still occasionally watch old episodes if I’m looking for some positive gaming related vids.
Its been my favorite for a decade
Couldn’t agree more
@@figvania4805 same...

You've only just scratched the surface of the masterpiece that is Berserk, Johnny.
Sneaking into someones backyard to rearrange their furniture might be the most Canadian vandalism story ever.
@William Moore There's a German film called The Edukators you might get a kick out of :)
@@KaustandthePukachus thanks for the recommendation I will look into it.
You've brought back the passion I had lost in video games. Thank you!
Love you Johnny! Thanks for making my life a little brighter. Always look forward to your show. Love from Australia
G,day mate !
That is amazing! 13 years surely can fly by. Been watching your videos here and there and I love how cozy, chill and laid back they are!
Seeing that cassette tape took me back to my 1st tape, 1989 Batman sound track and I remember the endless nights playing zombies ate my neighbors with my my friend Tommy! great video ! thanks jhon
I've been grabbing each volume of Berserk as they come out. Make room, these are well worth it.
You're enthusiastic passion for gaming is always so infectious and spirit-lifting. Thanks again, Johnny
-LONG-time fan, Matt
Man I wish they would release a power stone collection on consoles
Yes, me too.
You can buy it on PSN for PSP. I have the collection on my Vita.
I know right!
Hey Kim, I also want to see your New Game Stuff as well as Johnny’s
That is one hell of a good damn idea! Love it. I would love to know the Kim's video game new stuff
Kim dosent collect like I do, she just plays a game for 4000 hours lol
She’s smart. She lets you buy all the games and plays them when your not around 😂
Johnny’s passion for games simple ignites everyone else’s. I always want to go fire something up after his videos.
The “Pondering Johnny 🤔” clip always kills me lol.
My Sundays brighten up when i see your uploads. Thank you..
The vinyls in this episode look awesome. Hope you enjoy listening to them.

Stoked as I picked up the galaxy purple ps5 controller for the days of play sale! I love the color of it, also preordered the matching plates as well.
Been reading berserk for years and I’m happy to see that there are still new fans experiencing it. Sucks there will never be a ending for it.
just got me Shenmue 1 & 2 for the Dreamcast and Deep Fear (forgotten survival horror game) for the Saturn, retro gaming on point!

Jhony I'm happy to see that you keep what you love. You are a great inspiration to all gamers that want to build up their own game room.

I've been a life time lover of berserk! I used to have almost the entire set. Love the new large book style. I've got to check that out! Thanks man.
My only complaint about New Game Stuff is that I wish we had more New Game Stuff. I always get excited when I see notification come up!

My latest pickups are Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon for the DS, the Fates Limited Edition for the 3DS and a preorder of the new Three Hopes Warriors Limited Edition :)
Finally Johnny is reading Berserk, that made my night. As much as you enjoyed volume 1 it just gets better.
Look forward to these every Sunday 🙏
How do you feel about point and click adventure games ?
Thimbleweed Park is incredible if you’re into those.
I love these 'new game stuff' episodes, I've seen the playlist complete at least once.
That manga is perfection.
Ninjas of the 90s I remember it well. We had Surf Ninja, 3 Ninjas, 3 Ninjas Kick Back, and the different ninja video games. Was a fun time to grow up in.
The Chrono Trigger sound track was one of my favs. for years.
Yes! I’m glad you got your Power Stone vinyl too! Really hope we can see a Switch port at some point. Or better yet a third one.
Power Stone blew me away when I first played it.
I've got Touken Ranbu warriors , seven pirate H and grisaia trilogy on switch
I remember Power Stone on Dreamcast, that game was one great time!
Finally got a Switch Lite! First Nintendo console since the Gamecube!!! So excited.
God, as a xenogears fan i’d love to have my hands on that book. That story is so vast and crazy you pretty much need it
Ninja Gaiden Arcade, the game over screen specifically is something I will never forget. Mostly because something happened for the first time....

Thanks for the great show. An enrichment of every Sunday for many years.
I just got Perfect Works in English. So beautiful and filled with so much information a lot I never knew about.
So pleased you like it!
My five year old son can get to the 2nd boss on Ninja Gaiden nes by himself! :)
Cool episode! This month I picked up Andro Dunos 2 for the 3ds, Zombies ate my neighbors for Switch & and Contra 3 for SNES.
I love cassettes, I hope they are more available like vinyl. I have a Nakamichi cassette player from the 80s, it's amazing
Found out about Luke Morris from that episode around the time I had also started watching Johnny.
Johnny, thank you for that English Perfect Works plug! Just ordered one.
Just wanted to say I appreciate your videos. It seems so many other TH-camrs are just about getting clicks. Also there is so much negativity as well. But your videos are upbeat and fun! Can’t wait to see your opinion on all game revels this month.

My new game stuff is Johnny's fault - got both the CRPG and JRPG guidebooks from Bitmaps Books, both incredible
Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a classic for sure. I used to watch my Grandmother play it. She’d play for hours, she loved it. Totally with you on the SMT V soundtrack. Completely original and really takes me back to how good the game is.
I just found that Japanese Xenogears book at a used book store the other day. Super excited to check out the English translation! I didn't even know that it existed. I would have never heard about the book without your channel. Thank you so much.

The Ys VIII vinyl soundtrack is out now for pre-order limited to 500 copies off of Wayo records
Johnny reading berserk is actually so amazing
That's so wierd, I just picked that beserk book up last week. Amazing.
Me and my buddy hangout on weekend and we were dying to get some co-op action. We both love fallout, so we both ordered copy of Fallout 76 for PS4. Can't wait some post-apocalypse action and good company! ^_^
There was a phantasy Star vinyl that went up for preorder the other day if you missed the announcement
Berserk is my favorite story of all time. And it's going to finish!
Love the new game stuff! However, I haven't picked up anything new because life happened this past month where I needed to replace tires on the truck and also my spare. Any spare money is currently on my truck.
Johnny single-handedly resurrected Berserk with this episode. New chapter this month!
