Before working under the vehicle support it safely with jackstands and ramps.
To be sure that the car is level, I used a long level (about 1.2 m) and I put it between the two side lifting points.
I used FUCHS ATF7134 FE (spec MB 236.15) oil. You have to buy 10 litres to drain the TC, if you replace the oil only in the sump, 6-7 litres are enough.
You need a torque wrench in the range 4-22 Nm. Tools required are minimal.
I used a Meyle kit for oil filter, screws, gasket and overflow pipe: Meyle 014 137 1107.

This is the video showing the most accurate and correct method. Most people and most mechanics skip draining the fluid in the torque convertor - wrong.

I like the warning up front. Although I am tool savy and have good mechanical skills, making an expensive mistake is why I just take her down to Mercedes three minutes from home. That, and severe lower back pain. I'm better working underneath a car on a lift. Working in the motor is very painful after only a few minutes.

Hello! Like your video very much. At 23 minutes and 20 seconds of the video, you screwed six screws to 4NM, and then performed the now the second stage work. Whether to turn the screw another half turn or 180 degrees. Is my understanding correct? Thanks!
Hi, yes. First stage is torque to 4Nm all the screws. Then the second step is do another 180° on the screws. Good luck
Hello! Nice video, a question, when you put the 10 liters how much came out after reaching the temperature to make the level when the oil starts to drip?
On the Castrol lubricants pages, liqui moly, motul. they say it's 9 liters and on Meyle's page it says it's 10 liters. So ask him how much oil he got out.

Great video! Exact same procedure as WIS. One question tho, for the second 4L fill that you did when trans temp reaches 45C, after you finished second fill did you turned the engine off after that fill for the fluid to cool off then bring it back to 45C to level the fluid?
i'm sorry but I don't remember. I think I was quick enough it was not necessary to turn it off

@ticktime6569. Great video, I just did it on my W204 2013 and unfortunately wasnt aware of draining the Troque Converter like you did. Probably thats why only 4.5 litres oil was drained. I followed the remainig steps as it is and pumped in 5 litre of fresh oil. You think I should re-do it and drain the TC ?. Although the old Oil was relatively clean with no sludge on the magnets or in the pan.
hi, too many variables to answer. Now new oil is mixed with old. If old oil didn't have too many miles you could repeat the partial oil change within a few miles so that a good part will be new. Good luck

Hi, you have to search for a 722.9 Mercedes gearbox adapter. With the pump you buy, it comes a kit for various brands. Good luck 🙂
Might be a good idea to mark crank pulley for the position of the Torque Converter drain plug for ease of next service. Also, more fluid will drain if is allowed to drain overnight or good 24 hours. Excellent video.

I added just over 9litres and just removed a little bit at the end not a one litre. It shouldn’t have too much oil! It was at the temperature so all instructions followed carefully. Only a bit came off during the levelling process. Should I be worried?
You should be fine, but if you have serious doubts please ask a technician near you. Anyway AT contains 9 liters in total. Good luck

I can’t recall how much fluid I drained out. How can I make sure I don’t over or under fill? My transmission appears to be making a strange growling sound ever since I changed the fluid. Please advise
If you follow the procedure, the right oil level is the one you obtain draining the oil at 45° and then torquing the drain plug. If nothing comes out, it's underfilled. If oil came out, you're fine. For the noise I don't know if you could have done mistakes sorry

Can you remove the adapter and put on the plug after the car is off and the oil has cooled down?
You would not reach the correct oil level in that way

But the car need 236.15 blue one. I have made 14k km , what should i do . Could i have problem if i change now with blue one or should i keep red one
Hello, my advice is to come back to your mechanic and claim to do the job again with 236.15 oil. Transmission could have some damages but if you act soon you'll save it. Good luck

i did the job but it's leaking from the front passenger side corner where the electric connector plug is, what could be the cause ? the gasket seems to be seated properly and the surface was clean

@@ticktime6569 yes all new bolts but maybe i know where the issue is , i lubricated the rubber gasket side mating to the transmission maybe that's the issue

hi, I found them in the service kit with the gasket. If you don't buy the kit, you have to check the exact code for the screws and look for them online. Otherwise go to the nearest MB dealer. Good luck
