Once the Musical comes to the Phoenix Theatre in London direct from Broadway having won an astonishing eight Tony Awards including Best Musical.
Once the Musical tells the story of an Irish busker, who is considering giving up, and a young Czech woman. Throughout the show they are simply known as the guy and the girl, they bond through their shared love of music and begin to writing together.
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, who wrote the music and lyrics for the film, have composed the music for Once the Musical. They won an Oscar for the song Falling Slowly.

The west end version is in my opinion the best arrangement of Falling Slowly. Raw, emotional and sung beautifully.
In 2013, I backpacked through Europe and splurged my budget to see saw Once in London's West End. For me, this will always be my favorite performance of Falling Slowly.

This musical was the my first one to experience 9 years ago.
I could not even understand English at the time but I still remember the song, actors and the place even the old lady who sit next to me sang quietly with her tears on. The actor was so into the song and broke a string in the end.
This was one of my best memories in London. Thanks to youtube for the video for real.

Someone sang this in my chorus class for the final. Nobody knew the name of it, just the musical it was from. I love the song. So peaceful and just awesome. I'll likely listen to the whole album now, cause, ya' know, why not?
I saw this a few years ago and I can remember my Whovian ass screaming internally: "Holy crap is that Rory?!" I swear I'm almost tempted to write some headcanon fanfiction trying to connect Once and Doctor Who.

Just went to a Glen Hansard concert and it's sad knowing that this musical got big without him being blown up to fame.
Saw this last night and was amazed by the quality of the music the singing but most of all by the comedic timing of all actors and actresses best show in London

I watched this about two months ago and it was awsome. Even if English is not my first language, I didn't have any problems following the story because their acting is amazing.
Loved this show. Saw these two in the main roles twice and it was so special. I wish Once would come back.

WOW!!! Thhis is in my Top 10 musical songs ever... first know it after the movie and that one is amazing... but nothing like live theatre. So emotional. The orchestra sounds amazing. It all made me cry so out loud at the end. Bravo!!

I saw this musical a couple of years ago at a local theatre. It was either the Queen's Theatre Hornchurch or The Cliffs Pavilion Southend......sorry I can't remember which, but I loved the musical very much🤗❤️
I was very lucky to see this in Chicago last year for my senior drama club trip, this made me almost tear up next to my friends lol
I liked Rory through all of Dr. Who, then got excited he was in Legends...and I just find out he sings. Whaaat.

Technically Glen wrote this song with Marketa Irglova specifically for the film. The Frames recorded it after the film was made.
Very good cover!!! The movie was excellent. I like Glen Hansard, but Marketa Irglova has a voice that just can not be dubbed, she is a hard act to follow to my opinion...
