It's similar but more difficult, due to the fact Japanese only uses 50~ syllables and the way things are pronounced are tied closely to them. English on the other hand has a load more, and has the added issue of the same letters being pronounced differently or different words being pronounced the same. So that leads to issues like if she wants to remember how to say "bag" in katakana she would use 「バグ」however that when translated to Romaji becomes "bagu" due to Japanese not have a letter that directly represents the G sound in Bag. However all 50 of the Japanese syllables can be written out in English, which is why Romaji works for text input on computers/phones etc. So Suisei can write the lyrics out in Katakana roughly, however she still has to remember the English pronunciation of the words because 90% of the time you're not going to be able to get a direct like for like pronunciation. The funny thing is Japanese already know a lot of English words, however they only understand them when said using word structure. So even if you don't know a whole lot of Japanese. If you know the general sentence structure along with the 50 syllables and can make a decent guess at how to Romajify a English word. You can probably get your point across to a non-english speaking Japanese person.
