- Awhum Waterfalls in Enugu State Nigeria is one of the biggest cave waterfalls in Africa and also the scariest. People mostly visit the waterfalls for prayers rather than for tourism.

This is my Hometown. Yes, there are alot of rivers and waterfall here. I enjoyed them alot during the christmas. Cant wait to go back during the December festive season.

Watching from Oklahoma City, America, we have such a beautiful place here, people pay a big amount of money to visit and swim but, in Nigeria it’s a place for praying. May God help us. When Biafra comes everything will be fine.

I have been there when I was in university, catholic students always visit every year for prayers. we used spend like 2 days from mountain to desert and desert to waterfall .it used to be wonderful . Ahum monastery

I was in Enugu in 2018 and loved it. The fair at night, riding a motoboy, I went to the village by motoboy. A wonderful adventure.😔I miss you a lot. I don't know if I will ever come back. But one thing I have to say: I loved everything and everyone.🤩🥰🌹😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 I'm Brazilian. 🇧🇷

Exactly. Most people would not understand. Tourism bring money and destruction. Sexual Tourism in Kenya,Cuba,dominican republic,Thailand etc. Beautiful beach of bali in Indonesia have been destroyed. Drunkeness and property destruction in mallorca,Spain. Nigeria should promote domestic tourism,instead.
I used to make a big deal out of tourism, but now I'm glad that the eastern region, especially the south east is NOT a tourist destination route, I can't put into words why I feel this way.
In fact, I consider it a blessing in disguise

This is a revelation. I never heard of a place like this in Eastern Nigeria before. It would definitely be fun to stand under the water and get soaked. The part I don't get is that people think they can pray there to solve their problems. That sounds superstitious and unscriptural.

At the middle month of August 2022 I had a dream I Saw this particular waterfallcave but I didn't take it serious or even see it as anything i thought it just a dream, though the view of that amazing place place never go of my mind I keep imagine if such place exist before I i run into this very video. I have been to the falls at Awhum. Yes it's a tough hike but the feeling of being there is indescribable joy.
I have been there as well. It is a great experience. The trekk down the mountain was a lot because I was required to wear a skirt...but I made it down and back up. It's about 2.5miles down.
